Description of Work: Carpet installation is top notch though the product was not delivered on time. The company offered to install a carpet temporarily until the ordered piece arrived. We opted to just wait but the offer was sincere and a class act. This is our 2nd transaction with the company and we plan to patronize them again

They sold me the Duraceramic tile, explaining that it was mixed with limestone, and thus, more durable. I found out later that limestone is very soft, and probably made it less durable. I was disappointed as soon as the floor was installed because one could see every wave and bump in my floor. It turns out Duraceramic specs say the floor should have been leveled first, which they did not do. Technically, it was not installed according to specs. My floor looked lumpy an bumpy, and I was not happy at all--I wanted them to make it smooth. After much back and forth, a floor inspection which shows it wasn't level, and negotiating, they knocked the price down a couple thousand, and promised they would still back it up with their guarantee, so I paid the remaining balance (like a fool). Not six months later, I noticed that my floor was getting gouges, scuffs and scratches everywhere, and the finish was even wearing of entire tiles. (I use a Swiffer Sweeper to clean it--nothing harsh). Before this floor I had a Mohawk laminate floor for years, and never had any wear issues (I had to replace it because I remodeled my kitchen and it was discontinued so I couldn't repair it). I contacted Ocean City Carpet and Tile about the wear problems, and they instructed me to contact the manufacturer, which I did. Congoleum came out and inspected the floor, and agreed to give me three boxes of new tiles, and pay for $350 of labor to make the repairs. I the contacted Ocean City Carpet and Tile again, and asked them to do the repairs. The owner, Paul, told me that they no longer install those floors, as their only employee who knows how to install them left. Congoleum told me this was ridiculous, because if you know how to install any similar flooring, you can install this--its' not rocket science. Bottom line, Ocean City Carpet and Tile didn't want to be bothered with this repair. I reminded Paul that he had promised to stand behind the installation should something go wrong with it. He began getting defensive and told me not to put words in his mouth (I wasn't, those were his words). Ultimately, he just washed his hands of it and told me to find another installer who could do the repairs. Ocean City Carpet installed an inferior floor, took the money, and ran. They DONT stand behind their work--they are a company with no morals and only out to make a buck--good luck getting any help from them should something go wrong with the install or with the product. Molding that their install guy put in for me also came detached from the wall after a few months because they used tiny nails and put them in the wrong places. I had to have a friend uninstall it and reinstall it with better nails and put the nails in the proper place--I never even bothered to mention to them that the molding job didn't hold up--why bother when they wouldn't deal with the bigger problem of the floor not holding up. I am honestly thinking of ripping up my entire floor and having someone install something else--even though I spent $9000 on this piece-of-junk floor. In the mean time, I will see if another installer is willing to do the repairs.
Description of Work: Ocean City Carpet and Tile installed Congoleum Duraceramic Vinyl tile in my living room, kitchen, dining area, and hallway. In addition, they installed 7" base molding throughout the same area.
