The old wall was removed and a new, L-shape stone wall was built all along the driveway and across the front of the house. Old stairs leading from street level to the front lawn were removed and replaced with stone stairs. Within weeks of completion, the wall began to fail and the stones moved, creating gaps between the stone from top to bottom of the wall in four different places. I called and a crew was sent immediately to fix the problem. They tore down and rebuilt the faulty part of the wall. I waited a couple of years before I called again with the same problem. The stones separated creating gaps from the top of the wall to the bottom in four places. A crew was sent and the wall was torn down and rebuilt again, adding mortar to hold the stones together. Soon after, the wall began to fail for the third time. Since they incorrectly built the wall three times, I didn't bother to call them again. Another landscaper/wall builder said the foundation was not built correctly causing the wall to fail. I don't know how much it is going to cost me to have this problem corrected, but the wall should have been built right the first time and it was not.
