Randy was the most knowledgeable paving contractor I had contacted. Others were ready to quote the job and schedule immediately without even looking at it... you don't want that. Longstaff came out, looked over the site, took measurements, made a plan to deal with issues, then executed the job professionally and with quality and longevity in mind. Can't have had a better crew or better results. Excellent team period.

I have had the pleasure of using Longstaff Paving on a few occasions. Randy's quality, knowledge, punctuality, honesty and fair pricing are unequaled. He offers options based upon what the situation calls for. Repaving, patching, removal with repaving or a combination of services. I no longer get multiple evaluations. I just call Randy at Longstaff.

The proposal was competitive and they were able to start quickly. Work quality is acceptable because at least there are no puddles in the driveway, but there are some lumpy areas of asphalt. Also I expected the new asphalt and paver surfaces to be flush where they meet but some areas of asphalt are raised up 1/2" higher than the pavers making it a bit of a trip hazard. Randy was good about responding to my concerns and had some ideas to fix it but we never followed through, mostly because I preferred not to have patches at the edges of the new driveway. I was a little surprised too when they hit me with a costly extra to add some topsoil and seed to bring the lawn up to level with one area that they re-paved. This really should have been included in the original price but it was not spelled out in the scope of their proposal so I didn't argue it. At the front of the driveway I had to re-grade the lawn a little after they were done because the new driveway was a few inches lower than it was previously. I waited to post this review to see if there would be any settlement or cracks, and so far so good. Overall they were nice to deal with and know how to lay asphalt and pavers, but they did not meet my expectations for attention to detail.

I've worked with Randy Longstaff many times before and there is no one as honest and true to his word as Randy. I was contemplating redoing the entire driveway and he earnestly told me that it was not necessary to do so, suggesting a repair and reseal effort instead. It saved me quite a bit as the driveway is very very large. The quality of work is excellent as usual. Thank you Randy and team!

Randy came out to look at my driveway and gave me a quote on the spot. I looked at 2 other driveway guys but Randy had the best reviews and new my builder. He scheduled the job about a month later (he's booked solid because he must be that good) and came out and did it in a day. Flawless job.

From estimate through completion the service was courteous, professional, and extremely timely. Everything was completed exactly as discussed. The property was left exactly as it was before except that the replacement caps and driveway repair were in place.

Everything went very smooth. Randy is a real pro. very responsive with calls and messages told me what to expect how much it would cost and did everything he said on time and on budget. Was very neat and careful during the excavation and paving...I have some expensive Techo block patio and walk ways that extend into the driveway....no worries at all they did a great job. Also the drain across the garage is a HUGE improvement to what I had and the whole thing is locked in concrete that ties nicely into the garage...very professional, would hire again without hesitation.

They did a great job. Arrived on time, worked efficiently, did what they said they would do, cleaned up after they completed the job. A year later I am quite satisfied with the end-result.
