Description of Work: It went great. They really helped us out. We had to get our over the range microwave installed since the back splash was built into the old one. They came a couple times. The original new microwave we had did not fit so we had to get a new one. Overall they were really nice, came after hours during the week. He had told us in the beginning that the most we would have to pay was $300 just in case they had to fix the back splash or cabinets but it ended up being $400.

+ 3 moreRemberto was great..he showed up when he said he would on time, and stayed late to finish what he was working on, I am nine months pregnant and didn't have alot of time before the new baby arrived so he finished asap. Will definitely use him for our next job.
Description of Work: Remberto came in after another handyman never showed up again. He was able to finish the job the other guy did not finish including instaling all new doors, trim and molding through the whole house, and finishing the sheet rock.

Description of Work: Called Remberto on 9/20 looking for an estimate. I needed insulation and finishing work on a porch that I had started to enclose but never finished. I had called a couple of other contractors and left messages but no one had returned my calls as of yet. Remberto told me he was close by and could come over in 20 minutes to give me an estimate. When he arrived with one of his workers ( Oscar) he listened to what I wanted, made some suggestions and wrote up the estimate on the spot and said the job would take 3-4 days. I liked his price and I liked his demeanor so I asked him when he could start. He replied "How about tomorrow morning?" The day after was better for me, so we set it up for Thursday morning 9 am. Let me tell you, I could set my watch by Remberto and his crew 9am means 9am to him not 9:01 or 8:59; VERY punctual!! The work went very quickly, with Remberto or Oscar making sure I approved of their work as they went along, from installing the r-40 insulation to putting the ceiling back up with painting, spackling, trim work etc. Remberto saved all the receipts from Home Depot and Riccardi Paint to show me exactly where my money was going (not bumping up the cost of materials like some other contractors I've worked with). The painting was extremely neat and a really professional job . Every day they vacuumed and swept, keeping everything neat and orderly. In the end it took only 2 1/2 days instead of the 3-4 day estimate. I've never had a contractor finish early before. To sum up - Hercules is an honest, hard working, skilled crew that you can't go wrong hiring for a job.

+ 2 moreI identified Remberto's company using Angie's list, along with several other companies. I had loose tiles in a bathroom shower stall and several rooms that needed painting. A small project for his experienced team, but he handled it all with care. In the bathroom there was extensive water damage to the wall behind from those 'few' loose tiles. In the rooms that needed painting, they did a thorough job in spite of the furnishings in their way. Hands down, Remberto and his team were the most professional. Punctual for the initial meeting and every subsequent visit until the work was completed. Accurate and realistic in their assessment of the problem and recommended solutions. Careful and detailed in their work. True to the price.

Description of Work: We had a leak on the living room ceiling so a good part of it was opened to allow the plumber to find and fix the leak. So, the ceiling tiles had to be replaced in the whole ceiling as the color of the old and the new tiles did not match. The job was done in a short time and done well. The contractor was very pleasant and thorough, he left the place clean when he was done. The only thing is that he was a bit expensive but since we chose him we can't complain now. I even recommended him to my daughter who had a problem in her ceiling and she hired him also, he is still doing the job.

+ 3 moreThey are very friendly and busy, they do good quality work, and the prices are fair. It is an affordable way to get something done. I trust that the quality of their work will be top notch, but you should be flexible about timing. With this company, you can get a really good price if you are willing to work around their schedule. All of the other contractors that I met with gave quotes that were at least 1.5 times as much. He is intelligent so you get a straight answer when you talk to him. If there are any problems or issues, he is a smart person that you can communicate with.
Description of Work: Hercules Home Improvement remodeled a bathroom. He redid the floor, he painted the whole house, he fixed some issues with the kitchen counter, and he fixed the molding in the bathroom and kitchen. He will also be doing work in another unit of mine.

He always called to say he was on his way and was pleasant with his employee throughout the entire time. Actually the work was completed ahead of schedule and the room looks great! I definitely would recommend him to my friends.

+ 2 moreWe were very happy with the work done by Hercules Home Improvement, and we plan to hire them again for other projects around our house. Remberto responded to our initial call quickly and came to the house within the same day to look at what we wanted done. He sent one person to do the prep work for a couple of days before the rest of the crew came to work. The crew then started with the rest of work several days earlier than Remberto originally anticipated. The carpentry work on the garage door frame was excellent. The exterior house painting and the painting of the metal work was also good. The tiling of the floor and painting of the walls in the small basement room met our expectations. We were extremely pleased with the custom-built railings. Remberto was very attentive to what we wanted done, found the right people to do the work, communicated our expectations to them clearly, and saw to it that the work was done in a timely manner. Throughout the project, both Remberto and the people working for him were courteous. We highly recommend Hercules Home Improvement.
Description of Work: Remberto and his crew did several small and medium-sized jobs on our 120-year-old house. • We have some elaborate metal grillwork in front of the house, on the porch railings, and on an old hand-made metal gate. They scraped, cleaned, and prepped all this and painted it. • They painted concrete barriers on each side of the driveway. • The bottom of our house is brick, but starting at the second floor and going up to the pointed roof (including the attic), the house is finished with siding. They painted the siding in the front and back of the house, which required using a very tall ladder. • They replaced and painted some of these siding tiles near the back door. • They replaced and painted the wood frame for our garage door. • They replaced the ceiling tiles in the finished basement. • They put porcelain tiles in a small basement room that had an unfinished concrete floor. • They painted the walls of this small unfinished basement room. • They shaved the two front doors to the house to make them fit comfortably in their frames and stop squeaking when opened and closed. • They had aluminum railings for steps to the back yard made to our specifications and coordinated their installation.

Description of Work: Remberto installed 3 ceiling fans of various style and makes. Before that he replaced locks on a number of doors, painted a dining room that needed wallpaper removal and had tricky wainscoting, and fixed up our basement.

I did not hear back for a week, so I called and was told that he "was still waiting for a price on a window" (a plain wooden double-hung that was to be used in the garage as a dead-light, non-functional window). This made me suspicious, as from past experience I know that a lumberyard will quote such a window over the phone, in minutes. Another week passed and I did not hear a thing, I called and e-mailed again. Neither my call nor my e-mail were returned. After one more week, I called and e-mailed again. My messages stated that if the jobs I had asked him to estimate were too small for him to bother with, that was perfectly understandable- - he should just let me know that he didn't want the job, and I'd find someone else. I have never received the courtesy of a response.

+ -1 moreHe did a great job! I have no complaints. He did a very clean job and was very tidy, he left no messes! He was on time and he kept his appointments. His prices were very reasonable. I would hire him again. I only have one complaint, he didn't give me an itemized bill and I asked him for one 3 times. I also never got a receipted bill from him and that disturbed me a little bit. He would give me vague excuses as to why he wasn't giving me an itemized bill.
Description of Work: I wanted somebody to put insulation in my attic. He did. He also painted two rooms.

I couldn't be happier with the final results. I need a lot of work done in my house, and am actually looking forward to having it done. It took many years of trying different handymen to find one that I feel comfortable with and I feel is totally trustworthy. I will definitely use him again in the future.
