***DO NOT USE REINER*** I recently hired Reiner to replace and install a central air and furnace system in an older home. We got quotes from 4 different companies but decided Reiner was worth the extra money (40% more than competitors) based off the size of the company, expertise and an experienced metal shop/customizations for an older home. We were sold that the decades of experience was going to solve our air flow issues. What we got was anything but spectacular. The install took 2 days and was completed incorrectly! The installers didn't even look at the drawn up plans. So they had to completely rip out the newly installed system and reinstall being guided by a supervisor. Our a/c died in July and it took 5 weeks from signing for them to finish. I don't know if there has been a change in the company but the service we received does not match their reputation. The lack of communication between the sales, installation and service is astounding. How this company has survived so long is beyond me. Save yourself the hassle and go with someone else!

They have been excellent. Abas especially is wonderful. He is honest, caring, and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely use them again.

Their price is fair, they are responsive and they do the needed work.

I had a problem and needed a new boiler, another company couldn't do it so I called them. They installed my new boiler with all the piping and they did an excellent job. They are very responsive and really a top notch company. They are reasonable and did a terrific job! They were punctual, the whole job took about a week to re-pipe, take out the old boiler, and put in the new boiler.

Extremely well. Everyone was very professional. I have never seen a big job conducted so efficiently. Old air-handler and the duct work (in a hot attic on 90 degree July days) had to be replaced. The installers had terrific support. Reiner vans showed up at the right times and the junk was removed. Deliveries of new equipment to be installed came it at the right times. The owner of the company was making rounds of all the on-going installations to deliver water and gatorade bottles to the installers working in hot attics. All in all a very good job well-done. To top it all, the price was 25% less expensive than the other estimate given to me by my regular servicing company.

Went fairly well. Took two visits due to needing a part, but everyone was professional and the experience was good.

Excellent. The technician came promptly, diagnosed the problem virtually immediately, made the corrections and left. (Reiner installed my system about 15-20 years ago and I've had maintenance contracts with them.)

They were excellent! For the work they did the price was reasonable.

Checked the water pan in the air conditioning unit in the attic. Said he couldn't find any type of leak and just drained out the pan; then charged me $160. When he left, the unit started leaking again. Called another family-owned business and the guy showed me a very rusty water pan with holes in the AC unit. How did a professional company with a good reputation not see this?? I'm out $160 and they did nothing for me.

I was given a window of 9-12pm for a tech to come out and he arrived at 9:15am. He introduced himself right away and pointed to the spelling of his name written on the company's uniform shirt. I thought that was great. My house has wall to wall to light color carpet and he immediately put on some booties over his shoes and walked in. He explained step by step as he checked my system and made recommendations. I have a system that use R-22 and I know I must replace that system ASAP. The tech was very polite, quick and professional. I am considering using this company when I replace my system. Highly recommend them. Didn't care too much for the labor charge, however, I felt comfortable with the work being done.

Technician seemed very honest wasn't trying to upsell. Give a through explanation of status. Didn't rush the job. A very pleasurable experience.

They do a very thorough inspection and testing of the systems and change the filters. The technicians are professional, extremely nice, and always put on these little booties over their shoes so they don't get the floors in my house dirty. I really appreciate that. I think they are very knowledgeable and well-trained. I have been using Reiner for about 17 years and am very happy with the service they provide. I highly recommend them.

They were very clean and thorough and polite. The job was done exactly as promised, for the price as promised. The permits were handled through the Reiner office.

Reiner group installed our new high efficiency furnace, A/C & water heater in 2010. I now have a PM contract with them for twice yearly visits. I could not have been more impressed with their professionalism and their polite, courteous service at the time of installation. Now,when a technician comes for PM, they are always here in the time window given, always call to let me know they are on the way, always wear shoe coverings when they enter my home, always ask if I have questions or concerns, and are always professional and extremely polite. So much so, that I have never failed to phone the company after a service call to acknowledge their outstanding employees! I highly recommend Reiner Group!! They are not the least expensive, but they are certainly the best I've ever encountered!

I called for a service appointment a few days into a heat wave. Understandably, they were booked. What floored me was how rude the representative was when I asked if she knew of any other a/c repair businesses I could try. I told her I was desperate since my unit is leaking through my living room ceiling but she insisted she didn't know of any other a/c businesses in northern NJ. If you're in the business you should know who else performs similar services and you shouldn't hang up on a potential future customer.

Company's representative (Chris) was punctual and professional. He spent a good amount of time discussing the project, taking measurements and assessing the project requirements. I really was very eager to see the project estimate,primarily because I was really impressed following our initial meet. Problem is, I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. Original meeting was 04-April-2012, and it's now 10-May-2012. Nothing. Not a word. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

They were fine when I used them a couple of years ago. However, when I called them again recently, they didn’t come out for a week. So, I used somebody else. When I used them a couple of years ago, I spent about $250. Somebody else had put the air conditioner incorrectly and they came out and fixed it. They pointed out the things that were wrong. So, I got the money back from the other company. I thought they were very helpful. I would use them again in the future.

I was very pleased with Reiner Air Conditioning and Heating Co. I have called them many times afterward. I have a big house with 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. I had all kinds of estimates from so many people. I asked an expert to find out how much air condition I needed in my house and he told I needed 3-4 times air conditioning. Then Reiner Air Conditioning and Heating Co gave me an estimate for the same requirement. They understood that I wanted my house to be dry, not humid and not cold either. They gave an air conditioner based on this which is installed on the second floor but it keeps the first floor fine too. They agreed to come back and make adjustments if needed. Their price was reasonable. It was a good experience.

They did the heating and plumbing 2 years ago. They converted from oil to gas and installed a new furnace.

I was having a routine chimney sweep on the afternoon of 12/22/08. The chimney sweep discovered a hole in my furnace which was emitting carbon monoxide throughout the house. He recommended calling a heating company as soon as humanly possible. He shut down my heat (it was 10 degrees out) and told me I needed to replace the furnace. I do not like my current furnace contractor so I opened the telephone book and chose Reiner because as a realtor I have seen the name on many many furnaces. I spoke to the technical engineer, Michael, who told me they could come in the morning to inspect and take measurements and they could install the new furnace on Wednesday. I asked them if they could install it the next day (Tuesday) instead. He leaped into his vehicle and raced over to my home (it was already 4:30 in the afternoon). He called me later that night with the price and said they would be at my home at 8am the next morning. At 7:45 they arrived and had my new furnace installed and my heat on by 4. They removed and took away the old furnace and every bit of debris. The only trace that they had been there was the wet floors in the basement from the snow storm.

We called several companies to get an estimate, and although we were impressed with all the companies (all on Angie's List), we selected Reiner in a round-about way. We needed a new furnace but all of the furnaces we were told about were combined with water heaters except for Reiner's furnace. Coincidentally before we received all the estimates, or had a chance to decide which vendor to use, our water heater broke. The water heater needed to be replaced immediately and we couldn't wait for the installation of a new furnace. We called Reiner and found out they also installed water heaters. So we contracted them to do both the water heater and then the furnace at a later date. They came within hours to install the water heater and we arranged for the furnace very shortly after. We were very impressed by their professionalism, promptness and their service. It turns out it's several weeks later and we still haven't received the estimates from the other vendors. It's also very interesting to hear each of the vendor's take on what we should and needed to do about the furnace. They all had very different viewpoints. But we feel we made the right decision. The service was excellent. There was a faulty part sent with the furnace and they had to order a new part. It was installed the next day. They cleaned-up afterwards and they were very efficient. Unfortunately, it started to leak a few days later. We called Reiner and within an hour, they were here and had it fixed. Again, it was a problem with a part sent from the furnace company itself. Although we're not thrilled that there were 2 issues already related to the particular furnace, we don't fault Reiner. Reiner's professionalism and instant response to these issues was excellent. We hope we don't need service again, but if we do, we hope they will be as wonderful as they've been so far. We would, without a doubt, use them again.

Excellent service. A service technician came in the morning (within 24 hours of my call) to examine the problem. The installers came later that same day to do the necessary work. They were polite, answered all my questions, and worked quickly and neatly. About 2 weeks later a service technician came to inspect the installation.

They do an excellent job and quality work to say the least. I am happy with both their professionalism, their follow-up, and the price was excellence for what I received. I would highly recommend them and have done so to others I know.

Before the workman ever came, an engineer was sent out to diagnose the problem. When the serviceman arrived, he knew just what to do and had the right part. Things could not have gone more smoothly. I recommend them.

It went great. They were the most professional company that gave an estimate, their team was on time, and worked through a heat wave to finish the job.
