Description of Work: Initial work was special half price for cleaning fireplace flue. Since there is a furnace flue also, ended up paying full price for cleaning that, and also had the fireplace flue cap replaced. So, ended up spending more than originally intended, but the addional work was needed. Inspection also found damage to furnce flue which will eventually need repair. So, if your flues haven't been inspected in a while, expect to incur expense that may go beyond simple cleaning. Work was done professionally which inspired confidence.

Description of Work: Chimney sweep and inspection.

Description of Work: Cleaned the fireplace portion of chimney and inspected the boiler section and the exterior of the chimney. Sent an estimate for over $900.00 worth of work that they stated need to be done immediately. We hired another chimney service that our neighbors have used for many years and they also inspected the chimney. They advised us that the chimney is in excellent condition and did not need to be cleaned and did not need the $900+ work. We will not be renewing our Angie's list membership.

Description of Work: They came & inspected the chimney using a remote control operated video camera. The charge for that service is $400. That charge will be applied to the chimney repair if a repair is necessary. Unfortunately, the camera showed that repairs were needed. I have not used their repair service yet but intend to do so shortly. I have to have the chimney liner replaced for my oil burner. They are the second company I have interviewed. I have spoken to one brother, Matt, & have met the other brother, Jay, several times. They are young & energetic & impressed me with their knowledge. Their price is on a par with the price I was quoted by another chimney company, I'm hoping we can negotiate that a little lower. They didn't treat me like a "woman" like many of these service companies do, they actually explained everything & assumed I would understand what they were saying. I will report back when the work is completed.
