Description of Work: Cleaned and inspected my fireplace chimney. They were quick, polite and answered all my questions. They left no mess. With the questions I was asking, they did not try to push additional services. They actually told us how to fix one of our problems ourselves. I would recommend them and would use them in the future.

Description of Work: Flue Tech showed up on time once again and quickly went about investigating the issue we were having with our chimney. Mike diagnosed the problem and suggested a solution, which I agreed to, and he was able to do the repair on the spot. Great job all around!

Description of Work: I had a lot of work done on my chimney, and had a flue liner installed. They did great work, at a great price. My only complaint was that they really took their time. They had a lot of breaks and were here from 9am to 5:30pm. I felt like a hostage in my own house. This may have been those particular employees, so I wouldn't use that to judge the whole company. They were great overall.

Description of Work: Jay whom was Flu Tech specialist arrived on time, seemed very knowledgeable in his field. Recommended different options as far as what my needs were. Would recommend them to my friends, family whomever might ask me for any type of chimney service in the future.

Description of Work: Flue Tech did a good job, but recommended expensive services not mentioned by other flue maintenance services in the past. Sadly, we have had this experience with other businesses hired through Angie's list, in one case leading to a completed unnecessary repair. I understand this is a way for businesses to reach out and increase their income, but they should realize people are using Angie's list because of the consumer's limited income. second opinions are a good idea when possible.

Description of Work: Then cleaned my chimney and were very meticulous cleaning it from the top via my roof and also from bottom. They taped plastics around the cleaning area as to not make a mess. At the end of service they told me the exact condition of my chimney in detail. Also, the company called me afterwards to make sure I was satisfied with their service.

Description of Work: They came to inspect to my gas fireplace. The figured out the problem - the latch which triggers fireplace ignition had a bad connection. They were able to diagnose the problem and make recommendations. However, they could not immediately fix the problem as they needed to research the cost of some parts. They also provided an estimate for another possible "future" poblem which I declined.

Description of Work: Cleaned my chimney and recommended I get insulation for my liner, but at a cost well above my means, somewhere well over $2000. I don't really see why adding insulation to an existing liner would have to cost that much. So I would not call upon them to do this job should I ever decide to fix it. Otherwise, they seemed to clean the one story chimney as well as expected.
