Description of Work: Angela's List had a $139 special offer for a chimney cleaning. I have a chimney with two flues, one for a gas fire and the other for the oil burning furnace. I was concerned re soot buildup especially in the furnace flue. The technician came, looked at both flues, and without a word to me, "cleaned" the gas but not the furnace flue. He then left saying that I could hire his firm to come a second time to clean the furnace flue. When I got a follow up call from the firm, I explained that I had not gotten the service I paid for and was told by the caller that she would call back with a remedy. I never heard from the firm again. I was pretty appalled. If, in fact, the special offer really only applied to a single flue that information should have been on the offer, and the the technician obviously should have cleaned the furnace flue. I only tried to find two service providers through Angie's List. The first was a tax accountant. There were none in my area in the database. This was the second time... I call that false advertising.
