Description of Work: Flue Tech cleaned & repaired our chimney & fixed the flashing around the chimney. They had given us an estimate a couple of months earlier with the recommended work that was needed. They were quick, clean, and reliable.

Description of Work: They came to re-seat our chimney cap, which we found on our doorstep. Apparently it had blown loose, and a neighbor found and returned it. They were prompt, quick, efficient. They also did some liner work on the chimney last fall and did a very good job. Overall - would definitely recommend.

Description of Work: Went on the roof and cleaned the vent from there down.

Description of Work: Flu Tech did a very thorough job cleaning our wood burning stove. We had just moved in to this house and they took the time to give us some advice on how to properly maintain and use our stove. Thank you

Description of Work: On May 8, 2015 Flue Tech came out and resealed my chimney, put a new cap on, cleaned the chimney, and mortared the chimney brick in the basement. On March 28, 2016 I had a plumber out to clean my water heater that's located in the basement. While he was cleaning it he noticed that the venting unit on top of my water heater, that leads to my chimney, was hot and the plastic on top had melted. He found that there were low levels of carbon monoxide and had me come downstairs to look at it. The plumber took the pipe leading from my water heater to my chimney apart and found that it was blocked with plastic bags. When he took the plastic out he realized the vent was completely sealed. He told me to call Flue Tech to have them come out to remove the obstruction immediately. I called them and was told that I'd receive a call back. I ended up having to call them back and they came out within three hours. They stated that they'd had some issues with the workers, who are no longer working there, that had done the work on my chimney. They came out and cleared the breach, cleaned the flue, and did an exhaust test to make sure it was venting properly. Flue Tech was apologetic and I told them that when I hired them I wanted someone that was reputable. I was very disappointed with the work. According to the plumber the water heater could have exploded because it wasn't venting properly. I would never use Flue Tech again or recommend them.

Description of Work: They did not show up for the appointment. | I call them and they stated that they could not make it that day. They said that they could not reach me to let me know even though they contacted me before to schedule the appointment.

Description of Work: Great guys...very pleasant...and got a difficult job done. Deducted 1 pt. due to lack of warning or prep for the resulting mess which required quite a bit of clean up.

Description of Work: cleaned one fireplace and chimney and then inspected both fireplaces and chimneys & flus and made recommendation for additional repairs that I am still considering. Very thorough.
