They were on time and did a great job cleaning the vent and hose. It had not been cleaned since we bought the house, so for at least 10 years. The drying time has improved since the vent was cleaned. They made a recommendation to replace the vent exhaust with an updated one which would cost around $500, we are holding off for now but might look into doing it in the future. I would definitely contact them again.

Provider did a great job. He came a little later than initially expected but called me first to inform me. He performed the service in 30 min and did not create any mess in the house.

They did not make a mess and they did not do any unneeded work. They saved me money in the long run.

My chimney is basically new. I needed them to inspect it before the new tenants moved in. It was a simple job. The service went well. He examined everything and said the chimney was fine.

I gave them an A because I do like the final project. It took much longer than estimated but it was a big job. I am happy with the stone work for the most part but it does not look anything like the picture I showed them. There was no discussion about the stone style, grout width, etc. I probably should have been more specific but I showed them a picture of the style I wanted. I would use them again and I am overall happy wit h the outcome.

Technician arrived on time and did a thorough job both inside the home and out. Determined that we had an additional problem that dryer hose was too long and crimped preventing proper air flow. fixed that problem at no additonal cost. Dryer now works efficiently/

The Flue Tech folks accommodated my purchase of a Big Deal voucher that, as it turned out it, didn't apply to my area (NYC) where prices are generally higher. They performed a chimney sweep as part of the deal, and then at my request gave me a rundown of what I'd need to do to activate my fireplaces. They spent a fair bit of time explaining things to me, did their work, and cleaned up very nicely. I haven't had anyone else come in for a back-up opinion or to price the work, so I don't have any other contractors to compare to -- but overall they were responsive, helpful and respectful.

Flue tech came in to do a chimney sweep. They provided the service and also left an estimate for additional services they recommended. The technicians were very professional there were no high pressure sales tactics.

We hired Flue-tech for a seasonal sweep of our wood-burning fireplace chimney. The technician arrived on time, cleaned the chimney, and left estimates for a few possible fixes (sealing the external brickwork, etc). I was able to get feedback from the technician afterward to hear about the state of the chimney, which he stated was good with only 'moderate' buildup. Overall, it was a very good experience.

The provider called and sent email notifications to remind me of the appointment. I was called earlier today about an hour before the scheduled appointment and was asked if they could come earlier. This was nice but I was expecting them to come between the time we agreed upon. During the cleaning/repair service, the provided explained the procedure of the cleaning. Upon inspecting the chimney, they discovered that I needed repairs. I was offered an estimate and was told that I could think about having the repairs done. I had then asked if they had time to do it today to just get it done and the provider had no problem staying for the job. I was very satisfied and relieved that the work was done before the winter set in! They left nothing behind--it's as if they were never here! Very neat job.

I use a pellet stove, so the fireplace gets a lot of use. I thought the cleaning service was fine. I also wanted an inspection and quote for a chimney cap and to point the mortar joints on the chimney. I wasnt impressed with the inspection or the estimate. I had my pellet stove professionally installed by a very reputable dealer 3 years ago. I have maintained the stove myself. It has worked excellent for the past 3 years, and it allows me to heat my entire 1800 sq ft split level home for about $180 per month. In other words, I know the stove is working fine. The inspector tried to convince me that the stove was improperly installed because the vent pipe did not extend to the top of the chimney. I know this is not necessary by code or by the manufacturer (I think my pipe goes about 8 ft up the chimney.) So I found the worker to be lacking some credibility. To run pipe all the way up the chimney and put a new cap on the chimney, they wanted $2200. Needless to say, I didnt go with them.

chimeney cleaning was fine. but then said the brick work was badly need of repair and tried to sell me expensive repair. i had another company check and said it was fine. be careful.

Someone from the company sent me a calendar invitation soon after purchasing a deal via the AngiesList website, explaining when the service would be done, which was a nice touch. It shows the company makes good use of technology which is a benefit to customers. Upon the service day (which ended up being about a few weeks later due to popularity of the deal), a tech came out and explained the process, started the job, and managed to complete it a lot sooner than expected. They provided some recommendations for future maintenance, and even emailed a copy of the report. Overall, the experience was painless and professional, i would definitely recommend this company's services.

Scheduled an appointment and then received a telephone call the week of service to confirm it. Also, received a call the day of to advise us they would be arriving. The Flue Tech employee arrived on time and within minutes was on the roof checking and measuring the cap. After the work was completed, the courteous employee provided a list of preventive repairs that could be scheduled. There was no stress or pushing of services on us. Price was exactly as estimated despite some minor, custom modifications to secure it in place.

I found them here on Angie's list and I used a coupon. I had an appt and I called that day to confirm but they didn't have me on their list! I made another appt for the next day and they were very late, as in hours late, but they kept in touch via phone to keep me posted. They were very apologetic, very nice guys, obviously pressured. They said something about the owner living in Florida and running the schedule from there (?). Oh well...

I am very happy with the rain cap install. Vendor was on time, professional and answered my questions. Also the vendor honored the sales price even though I was not located in their service area as described in the promotion. I highly recommend this vendor.

Great service. Arrived on time with a 2 man crew and did exactly what they agreed to. Cleaned up after themselves and provided an estimate on future work they recommended. Not too pushy and very professional.

Two gentlemen placed a tarp on the floor in front of the fireplace before they started the job. I also had a concern about my heatilator not throwing off enough heat. They checked that and found nothing wrong. They explained to me about different options available if and when I decided to purchase an insert or something that would further heat the room. They were polite and very informative.
