We hired Flue Tech to do a chimney inspection as part of our home buying process. They were very thorough and provided a lot of information on how to make the chimney functional. While we used them to get an estimate of work and an inspection, we will absolutely use them for the repairs that need to be made after we close!

The contractor was punctual and professional but didn't seem to do anything. This was a gas fireplace inspection so I thought they would at least turn it on to see how it worked but they did not. They looked at it, moved some of the logs, vacuumed, and were done in approxiametly 5 minutes. We do not use the fireplace very much, but I expected more of an inspection.

Went very well, fast, and thorough. They didnt attempt to sell me anything else.

He took the stove apart to clean it, which my original installer and cleaner did not do. He also told me more than I'd known about the flue liner. I will call on him to do this work regularly, though his cost will surely be higher than the Angie deal.

On time, quick. Lead guy was helpful and thorough, other one looked bored out of his mind and checked his cell often. They did a good job cleaning, no mess. Too much snow and ice to inspect chimney cap which is the reason for the B quality rating but not their fault

They showed up on time, they charged me what they said they would. They did an excellent job.

Technician thoroughly covered the area in front of the fireplace to protect the floor and rug. He took the front of the fireplace (glass and vent) off and vacuumed the interior. He washed the glass. He also showed me how to use the remote control. I am new to this condo and the previous owner left no instructions on how to use the fireplace. The fireplace was in good condition and no adjustments were necessary.

These guys did a really great job! Communication was professional, the office called to update me on time of arrival and they showed up at the time they said they would. I didn't really look at dryer vent cleaning as a necessity but I am a believer now!! We had a birds nest in our vent and Flu Tech did an excellent job with the cleaning. Unfortunately we had to have the vent replaced because of my negligence, but I appreciate the fact Flu Tech went over and above their job. They care about their customer and take pride in the work they do!!! Thank you again for all the work. I highly recommend.

Another vender cleaned out our dryer vent a year ago. I suspected that it needed another treatment so I contacted Flue Tech via Angie's List. Made an appointment. Mike and partner arrived within time window (their arrival preceded by several phone calls from HQ ("they'll be there within the 1-4 p.m. window." "They'll be there around 3" "They'll be there in 15 minutes." They used a system I hadn't seen before -- turned on the dryer, then went up on the roof and lowered a flexible wire scrubber into the roof vent. The results demonstrated that yearly clean out is advisable for us. We do a laundry every day so that may account for the large amount of lint we generate. The crew were pleasant and competent, explained everything. I'd use them again -- they're on my calendar for next year.

It was great. The service was provided shortly after we purchased the deal. There were no extra charges beyond the big deal amount. We had not used them before. We liked the price. We have a gas fireplace and we hadn't had anything done in 10 years. So we thought it was about time to have someone come. We've not had any issues since the service was provided.

Although they pre-booked us for the typical 9-12 time range as many professionals do, they called specifically that day and advised the guys would arrive at 9:20. We also received a reminder the night before. They were very thoughtful about how they dismantled the front of the fireplace, being cautious with our walls and floors. Mike also kept turning the fireplace off and on along the way to ensure it was still functioning after it was cleaned. The grounding wire had become dislodged, so Mike patiently tested and retested the start mechanism until the wire was firmly grounded again where the fireplace could be turned on immediately. Very tidy. Very professional and thoughtful. They sell gas burning fireplaces and install as well. That's where we'll be going when ours needs to be replaced.

It was fine. They got the job done in about an hour. The chimney was very dirty and they did a great job. They sent 2 people out to do the job. The scheduling was very easy.

The experience was good. I thought they were good, and they spent their time, and they were thorough. They were delayed a little bit, but they kept us informed.

went well. very punctual and professional . The only problem was part of flue, a tube of calk and one glove fell off roof while they performed work onto my deck. this was never picked up and disposed of. not bad overall.

They called ahead and came when they promised. They were very clean and provided a good assessment of the chimney. They put the damper back on track and gave an opinion on how we might better use the fireplace. We had never been able to use the fireplace before their visit without smoke backing up into the house. After they came we haven't had any issues. We had them back to add chimney caps after their first visit and estimate.

Perfect! I had problems lighting the fireplace, and they fixed that as well.

Flue Tech Inc. were good and professional. They came at the appointed time and were punctual. They were clean and efficient. They showed up and did the work. The fireplace looks a lot better, now that they cleaned it. He showed my how to light the fireplace pilot and how to turn it off. They're reliable and trustworthy.

The young men were very professional and knew what they were doing. They gave good information and didn't try to sell us additional things we didn't need. My husband was so impressed he planning on buying a fireplace insert from them and having them install it. I would recommend this business.

It went well. Mike was punctual & neat. He used his camera to demonstrate the details of his findings. Some issues that had been noted by the inspector were confirmed, as well as others that will need addressing in the near future. Various options were proprosed, so I can select "a la carte" how I will proceed with the work. More later when the work is completed.

Mike, the technician was very good and provided a breakout of the cost of some potential repairs. While I can't comment on the price (to be updated when I get comparisons), he seemed thorough and walked me through what he was seeing. I would be fine working with him the future. The office itself was responsive and quickly was able to set-up and deliver the appointment. My big complaint is that we had a 10-1pm window that Mike was supposed to arrive at. I received a call from the office around 11am saying that he was running late and wouldn't be available until 1-130pm. At 2pm, I tried calling twice and finally got them to give me an updated arrival time of 3pm!! I understand things can be delayed, but I spent most of the day waiting around the house and would expect that level of quality from a cable company, not a company that I paid $99 for. Mike arrived at 3pm and the appointment itself was done by 4pm including estimates of potential work.

On time and reasonably professional. They suggested a cement coating inside my chimney without an inspection...

They did a great job. Good people.

Initially this went very bad with the two original technicians. However the owner came out almost immediately, apologized for the poor work done by the original technicians, and fixed the problem. I was very pleased with their quick response and repair.

All went well. They were very professional and the work went fine.
