We had communicated via email previously. I emailed them two days before the appointment to confirm they were still coming since I hadn't heard from them. They confirmed that they would be here. They were supposed to come today between 12-3pm, and they called me at 1:28pm to cancel. I will not be using them for this service.

The technician did a very thorough job of cleaning the dryer vent and spent a great deal of time finding and repairing a leak in the dryer vent hose that was found in the attic area of my home. He was very professional, polite, and clean (wore plastic boots on his feet whenever he came into the house from outside.

showed up promptly, got right to work, cleaned fireplace, and chimney. offered some other maintenance services, however we declined.

They were punctual, professional, and clean. He gave me some good feedback on my stove and showed me some nice inserts that would fit into my fireplace for a much more efficient setup (but didn't push the sale). I will definitely use them again, probably every year considering the frequency in which we burn wood.

Scheduling was too far into the future. Needed work done immediately.

I called them to arrange for a chimney cleaning, but they didn't have any openings until December 20th. It wasn't their fault. My interactions with them were fine. I just needed the services done sooner.

I have a chimney that has two flues, so I knew ahead of time I was going to need 2 chimney caps, or a larger one to cover both flues. I purchased an angie list deal for $89 that would provide one cap. I had mentioned this to the person that had scheduled the appointment that I would need to purchase an additional cap, or have a larger one installed which I would have happily paid extra for. When the representative arrived, we were told that we would need to purchase a custom chimney cap that would cost $400 which I found a bit absurd seeing you can purchase a cap that would seemingly cover both flues for about $160 dollars at the home depot. Obviously, I am not a professional, and maybe there are logistics involved that I am not aware of, but $400 seemed a bit steep. I just had the tech install the one cap for now (had to pay an additional $25 dollars for as the flue was larger then purchased deal, fair enough,) and ask the next company I deal with to sweep my chimney to install one I will purchase from the home depot.

No one ever got in touch with me concerning the appointment. I called them to verify the appointment, and they said they would be here today. They called me today, and I did not answer my phone. When I returned the call, they had cancelled the appointment as I did not answer the phone. I thought this was bad service, and there is too much back and forth to reschedule.

I called FlueTech to inspect and clean our flue. The man who came told me our flue could not be cleaned without an inspection, that they needed to do an expensive $400 video inspection since our chimmney was so long, that our chimney was very difficult to get to so he needed to bring a team back to work on it, that our mortor seemed to be crumbling and i bad condition because it was old, that repairs were needed to the damper. His estimate was over $3000. We had another company come in, and it seems that our flue had been serviced by the prevous owners within the past 3 years, that the mortor was perfect, that only the damper needed slight repairs, that our chimney was not particularly difficult to get to or visually inspect (with no ned of video equipment), and that there was little to no soot in the chimney. I would not use this company, nor recommend it.

He was timely, professional and knowledgable. The estimate came promptly following the onsite inspection, and we are proceeding with the installation with them. This is a mid stream review as the installation has not been completed. We will provide the final review after the installation.

They came out and said I actually didn't need the deal.

After he came out to take a look at the chimney, he said it needed a custom cap for the top. I have three flutes inside the chimney instead of one. The additional cost was almost $400 more. I have just decided to cancel with him.

They were excellent they did a great job!

They were very professional. They covered their shoes and were very clean and careful. Once the job was done the technician explained everything they did and what to expect going forward and had a few recommendations on how to keep a safe fireplace. I will be using them again next year.

They were a couple hours late but called to let us know, they were very professional and did a great job. They looked at our other chimney and confirmed it was clean (I expected them to try and get us to pay for more...). They were very clean, tightened up some screws on the screen in front of the fireplace and told us some good tips for maintenance. Great experience.

Did what was expected and cleaned up after job was complete. Gave information about a potential problem with creosote build-up in some cracks in the chimney.

They are good but do not need service

Flue Tech called about 3 days after I purchased the Big Deal online. The earliest available appointment was more than two weeks away, but we accepted that date. As the day of service approached, there was a lot of rain and Flue Tech understandably got behind on their schedule. The day before they were to come, they called and said they would have to reschedule an additional two weeks out. My landlady was concerned about the safety of the chimney, so she made other arrangements and found another vendor to provide the service much sooner. So, this morning I called to cancel the service.

Because the vent goes out of the house and under my deck he had to crawl under the deck to clean the vent.

I initially tried to schedule the service two weeks ago, they suggested Oct 24 between 1-4 PM. They called the day before to confirm and so I blocked off my afternoon for them. Then they called at around 3:30 to say that they would be here closer to 5:00. I could not accommodate as I had an appointment after 5 and asked for them to come Monday 27th. They said they will not be in the "area" this week and it would have to be in November. This is unacceptable to have to wait at least another 2 weeks for a schedule they could not meet. I want a refund so that I can select another supplier/vendor to have the work done. Thank you.

They primarily work on the New Jersey side of the Hudson and only come out to New York once or twice a week. They didn't have any appointments that met my availability. My landlady was concerned about the safety of the chimney so she ended up hiring someone else to come and do the cleaning. They were very professional and nice. When they had to reschedule last week they were very apologetic. It just didn't work out for us on timing.
