Description of Work: Flue Tech contacted me a few days after purchasing the service. We scheduled a chimney cleaning for a few weeks later. The day of the service I received a call saying that the service man was at my previous house in NJ ( I originally signed up for Angie's List before I purchase my new home in a NY. I never changed my address on my Angie's list account so Flue Tech assumed it was my old address. No problem we rescheduled. When the technician arrived he was courteous, knowledgeable and everything seemed fine but it turned out he didn't have the proper brush to clean my chimney so he needed to reschedule another day. I decided to find another company.

Description of Work: Swept the fireplace chimney from below, without taking the damper off.

Description of Work: Ordered through your list. Flue Tech contacted me right away and set an appointment for next weekend. Received an email from amazon local (which I forwarded to one of your customer service reps) for $55 and not 125 for the same service through your list. Flue tech was accommodating and allowed me to keep the original appt. My cancelling this order is not due to dissatisfaction with Flue Tech.

Description of Work: Dryer vent cleaning. Appt was for between 1 and 4pm. I recieved no call on that day giving me an aprox time of arrival. I called at 4pm and they said they would be late. aprox 5:30 pm. They showed at aprox 6:30pm.

Description of Work: I called them to find out why my fireplace was blowing smoke into the house. They were wonderful to deal with from A to Z: over the phone, and the techs were were prompt and courteous. They would not accept any payment for an assessment and estimate. I have to get an electrician and plumber here before I can have them back to complete what we discussed, which I intend to do. They offered referrals for anything else I needed. A++!!!

Description of Work: Hired company from an Angie's list coupon. I advised the office at the time of the order that I had two flues. When the tech performed the service he planned to charge me full price for the second flue. I advised it was my understanding from my conversation with his office that both flues would be at the same price. He honored my request. Tech was prompt and professional. I was given a quote for additional services to include duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning. I decided to use someone else for the duct and dry vent cleaning. The price for the duct cleaning was hire than I wanted to pay. Also, the proposal charged tax on the duct cleaning and not on the dryer vent cleaning. Tax law in New Jersey is the opposite, not tax on duct cleaning.

Description of Work: they came to replace cap on my chimney and evaluated the total chimney which needed additional work they were professional a d explained everything to me about what they saw. h\They cleaned up after themselves as well

Description of Work: Chimney cleaned and the top of the chimney repaired to eliminate cracks that could leak. The staff worked hard to clean up so that no soot was left. The work was done efficiently and the two workers were very pleasant. I would use them again.

Description of Work: They responded quickly to my inquiry, honored the promotional price, called to confirm the appointment, kept the appointment at the time given and did the job thoroughly and in the amount of time they estimated. A good experience all around.

Description of Work: At first, FluTech was great. Called to let us know the exact time they were coming to clean chimney. They found we needed some repairs, and we said OK and paid an add'l $600. They told us they ran out of cement, and would be back the following week. By the next Friday, we called to say What's up? They denied saying they'd be back in a week, and scheduled an appt in a couple weeks. They rescheduled that new date to another date, and then did not show up. I called and Matt apologized profusely. He said they would come the next day. We could not be at the house so I asked him to please leave a note indicating that they came. No note was left. We see new cement on the chimney so it appears they did come. Very disappointing experience.

Description of Work: Two workers showed up neat in appearance, on time, and prepared. Stated they were not aware I had a pellet stove. ;( They (in retrospect) seemed to be saying "Uh-oh" to themselves. Anyway, they did a thorough cleaning job on the chimney itself, and cleaning the stove. However, where they disappointed us, was there apparent lack of familiarity with pellet stove. When it came time to reinstall the stove into the hearth, they neglected to put a piece of 2x2 wood back in that was used to balance the stove from tipping over. Also the flex vent pipe was not reattached properly......which could lead to a potential Carbon Monoxide situation.

Description of Work: The company representative arrived on time and called ahead to confirm the appointment. He cleaned and inspected the main chimney as requested through an Angie's List coupon "deal". He also inspected and cleaned the chimney for the furnace, which we knew was in bad repair. He was so polite and thorough that we made arrangements with him to repair the chimney in the fall.
