Mike and Arron arrived as scheduled at around 11 AM and left at 3 PM. They first had me examine the caps to make sure they were acceptable and as per specification. They then test fitted both caps. Then they removed them to seal the concrete caps and then finished installation and securing of the caps to the Chimneys. They also repointed the cracked mortar of the fireplace firebox. Both Mike and Arron were friendly, courteous and professional. I am very pleased with their work and would recommend Flu Tech to others seeking to have Chimney work done. Regards Gary Allen

.The technicians were very prompt - they came sooner than expected, but that was great. The technicians worked quickly but efficiently. When work was completed, everything was neat and clean, and they even gave suggestions on how to keep outside vent clear of lint debris. Overall, a superb job. I most highly recommend Flue Tech Inc. for their A + service. I would definitely use them again - very happy with their work!

First and foremost, I need to thank Matt Meadows for his utmost patience for answering a novice burner's 900 questions and special requests to keep the project under budget. Heidi is always on top of scheduling free quote, installation before and on the day of crew ETA. Shawn and Tim are courteous, cleaned up after themselves and extremely efficient in getting the job done correctly. We fired off the stove and it has been on for the past 10 hours today, haha! We thank Fluetech for getting the job done right at a reasonable price!

I was impressed with this company and felt like they would do a good job. The reason I decided to hire a different contractor was that some masonry work was also required, due to the age of my house and the condition of the fireplace, and they didn't have a mason on their team. I felt it would be difficult to hire and coordinate 2 contractors - one for the fireplace and the other for the masonry. So, to simplify things, I had to rule them out, even though I felt confident in them.

I contacted Flue Tech in approximately November of 2015 to provide an estimate on some repointing work needed on my chimney. The office personnel could not have been nicer or more efficient in calling back, leaving messages and handling the scheduling. They apologized when they told me that the first appointment available would be in January, but I figured if they are a good company, then of course they are busy and I was in no rush. Come January, I received several reminders from the office person that the appointment for the estimate was upcoming and she did her best to help narrow the time within the service windows. The estimator arrived on time, was efficient and knowledgeable. He walked me through some issues with access and explained that they would need to rent a cherry picker to get at the north side of the brick, which would add $1400 to the cost of the $1760 repair, a total of $3392.26 with tax. I contacted two more providers for an estimate. Although one came in under Flue Tech, I felt that their ratings here on Angie's List and the way the estimator understood the work made them the best choice. This is where the problems started. I called and left a message at the office, saying that I had received an estimate on January 9, would like to go ahead with the work, my number and address and the estimate number, 15425. I waited about 2 weeks but never heard back. I then called the office again and this time spoke with the office person. She asked me for my phone number and address but could not find the estimate. I gave her the estimate number, but she said that perhaps it wasn't in the system yet. She took my information and said she would follow up and have someone get back to me. I waited again approximately another two weeks and heard nothing. I called for a 3rd time. I explained to the office person that this was my third attempt. She took my information yet again, including the estimate number, and said that she would have someone call me. That was approximately a week ago and I have heard nothing. A true waste of time. I would be careful as to this company's follow through.

Extremely satisfied with results. Showed up on time, left zero mess, friendly, did impeccable job. Will use them regularly for annual chimney sweep as well.

I have only an 18 foot chimney and smoke was coming into the apartment. A small fan was not getting all the smoke up the chimney and three other socalled fireplace specialists gave me advice that didn't work. My architect and contractor had supplied the three names, and so I went on Angie's List. The Flue Tech tech came to the house on time, with several calls the day before and the morning of the visit. Their phone service was excellent and when I set up the appointment, they gave me a very good suggestion, which had it worked, would have been the only advice I needed and would have lost them a sale. That advice didn't work either, however, and the tech came in. He made several good suggestions, but when he looked at the size of the fan on the top of the chimney, he said he was certain that all that was needed was a more powerful fan. He said at full power, it would be noisier than the smaller one, but that his experience was that at 30-50% power, the draw would greatly exceed the smaller fan, and the noise would be less than the full power noise of the small fan. They installed the larger fan...and he was absolutely right. No smoke at all into the room, and the fan ran at 50% speed, with less noise than the old one at 100% speed. They cleaned the chimney, pointed and painted the firebox, and even returned twice over two weeks to correct minor issues. A+++ rating from me!

They came in as agreed upon, called the day before as a reminder of my appointment and they called back about 30 minutes out prior to arrival. As soon as they arrived, the crew went straight to work. They did an excellent work, very professional and I would not hesitate to call on them again. I highly recommend Flue Tech Inc to anyone who would need any chimney work. They came and it was fine. They were really, really late and I think they did the bare minimum but they came and did it. They were pretty professional.

The quality of the work was excellent. What I am not happy about is that they quoted me on the custom chimney cover and for bracing my chimney flue so that it would not move internally. Home was built in 1950s. When they came to do the work the new team said they won't be able to brace my chimney and they may need to think of another solution. My suggestion is make sure you can do the work before you quote it. I was sold on the idea to brace the chimney flue, but don't come to me later on and say the other team is wrong, we can't do this it might damage your chimney. That should be addressed on the first visit.

Technician was on site for about 30 minutes. I didn't watch his work, so I can't comment on how well the work was done. I hope the vent is clean!

Professional, friendly, quick.

Cleaning was straight forward. Ceramic plates were a little pricey compared to google searches, but new to home owning I went with their install to be safe. If I recall, it was close to a $1,000 for the plates.

. .We had a family emergence and had to cancel the first appointment. They were understanding and rescheduled us with no problem. They were great with communication about appointment and the arrival of their team. They were professional and took the time to explain to us things about the fireplace upkeep. They left no mess and were timely.

They were okay. It was nothing special. They kind of did the bare minimum. I had never gotten a chimney sweep before so I really don't know how to review it, I mean they just kind of showed up and put a vacuum at the bottom and just sucked some dust out. I thought they would go in comprehensively through the top or something but I have no idea what a chimney sweeping is suppose to be so I don't have any idea or know what to expect or what any of these companies do. There were no additional charges. I would want others to know that they should clarify what exactly you want done and how long it will take. There were two people who came in uniforms. I don't need the whole production with uniforms, I just want the dirt out, it was more of a visual performance then actual work.

Firstly, the company was very conscientious about my appointment. We set a window of time within which they would be there, and when I asked for a more exact ETA, they provided one and called 30 minutes in advance of arrival. I appreciated this very much as a storm was approaching and I needed to get some errands accomplished in advance. I thought I needed a new chimney cap, because I'd had some smoke come back in my house during my last few fires in spring of the year. Ice came right into my fireplace during one of those fires, so when I didn't see a cap up there, I thought that's what the problem was. I purchased a special deal for a chimney cap on Angie's list. A very professional worker from FlueTech, Mike, came out and inspected everything. He explained my system and how to test for such a blockage in the future so that I could go ahead and make fires again with confidence. He took pictures of my chimney to show me what was going on. As it turned out, I didn't need the cap at all because of the kind of flue that was installed. However, he showed me that are some other issues that I might want to attend to in the future. Mike wrote up the different jobs, provided me with written estimates and a credit for the money paid.

There was some confusion with the appointment. I guess they're suppose to reach out to you in a certain amount of time and they didn't and my husband had to call to schedule. Then they didn't show up when they were suppose to and he called again and there was some mix up with our appointment time but they were able to come later that day. Once they made it here everything went fine. They did a great job and we even got an estimate for some chimney repairs that need to be done but we haven't done this one yet. The big deal covered what they did. They came out soon after the purchase date. The deal we thought was priced really well. They are the only ones we got a quote from for the repair so it's hard to say. Responsiveness is where we had some issues. We're considering them for the repairs so I would say yeah, we would use them in the future. I really think it was just an oversight, a mistake that they just, the scheduling. Everything else was fine. The worker was professional and pretty clean cut and respectful.
