The owner measured the windows from the outside initially. We found that the windows were too tall (fit very tightly) and not wide enough. Since the windows fit poorly, there is absolutely no insulation-- the wind just blows through. They capped the windows outside and I noticed that one of the windows is not caulked under the window sill (although window next to it is caulked). They installed improperly sized windows, did not bring the warranties for installation which I've requested they send, and they now will not respond to us. Every time I've tried to reach someone, I've gotten the run-around

I couldn?t believe what they wanted to charge me to put in a door $18,000 where three windows are. I had given them good business in the past and expected a much better price. I can get financing myself--so I just expected better. I felt pressured to accept that price and use their financing. I told them that I would want in writing when they would start and when they would finish because I didn't want the job to drag out. But it's not going to work out when their pricing is this high. I asked about Senior Discount, and he tried to tell me, "Oh, you're so young..." I am 77 years old! I may be growing old gracefully, but I'm not fool. I would only use them in the future if I felt respected.
