I normally don't like to give negative feedback, but the manner in which Jorge has gone about conducting his business with me I feel compelled to inform others to be aware of what happened. I engages with Jorge Home Improvements to finish my basement. Before he took on the job he said he had a crew who works with him. The entire project was practically done by him and one more person who he brought along only when he needed help. He is good for small handymen work, I would not recommend him for large jobs. Below are the reasons for the poor feedback. Positive factors: Punctual Works hard Cleans up after he is done everyday. Negative factors: Zero estimating skills for material (He estimated material cost 2 1/2 times lower then what he ended up using) Extreme wastage of material (Cuts first and thinks later) Mis-representation of size of crew and skills (In my eyes that?s lying and being dishonest to get the job) No eye for detail (Does not recognized what material is best used for which purpose) Sloppy finish product (uneven walls, incomplete work, incomplete paint job) No planning skills on what is the most frugal way to save material (e.g: Ordered extra paint, tiles, insulation, bought & used wrong size of 2 x 4 creating a lot of waste) Now I have the extra material sitting in my garage. Over commits to what he can really do, compared to what his capabilities are (e.g: I had to buy the kitchenette counter top 3 times because he cut them incorrectly. Finally I had to engage another contractor to instal the counter top). Does not stand by his mistakes to rectify them to pass inspection (In my eyes this is the most unprofessional attitude one can have). I reached out to him and he told me he is out of town on vacation, and not available. On asking when he would be available, he provided me with a date 3 weeks out. I did a drive by his provided address and have proof that he is very much in town (I am sure you know what it means when someone behaves that way?)

Two storm doors installed: Arrived on time, completed the installation quickly and efficiently within a couple of hours. The work area was cleaned up and he took away the old doors. Railing at front door steps: There was never a railing at the steps before but he built a secure wooden hand rail secured to the house and brick steps. Completed in one day and work area cleaned up. Roof repair: Jorge quoted me a price for the roof repair and gave me a date when he would be back. He arrived on time, completed the repair, but when leaving told me that I didn't owe the price quote as it wasn't as bad as he originally thought it would be. He deducted money from the original quote. He is an honest person. I would have paid he the original price that we agreed upon and I would never have known the difference as to the work completed. He also took pictures on his phone and sent them to me so I could see the repair. I would definitely hire Jorge's Home Remodeling again.

I worked with Jorge for many years and have referred him to friends who have become his customers. Jorge completed renovation of 5 bathrooms in two homes and completed two large kitchen slate stone flooring projects. He is creative and helpful with providing direction with the projects. With all renovation projects there are hidden issues found. Jorge has always been honest and extended a fair price for all unforeseen concerns. I have been enthusiastic working with Jorge who requires little supervision due to his professionalism and clear renovation project understanding.

Excellent results

We agreed upon a price, Jorge gave me a timeline he kept his timeline. He does excellent work, he's very professional, and if there is an issue that arises he handles it a timely matter.

Jorge and his remodeling crew did an excellent job with all of their work. He is extremely trustworthy, professional and reasonably priced and very neat. Jorge is very creative especially with small spaces. His electrician is licensed and plumber certified. His tile work is beautiful! We love our home now! Icurrently working on remodeling in our second family home.

He was called to replace our back stairs and needed a Hand rail installed, it was kind of emergency. He rearranged his schedule and to accommodate us. His work is accurate and through.

Our major project was done efficiently and in the time frame that we needed it done. He gutted and remodeled the entire bathroom in 6 days.
