Description of Work: Bold installed a new 100 amp panel, with generator lockout and new breakers, a twist lock female connection for my generator, and a new AC disconnect. All the guys (and girls) were professional, communicative, punctual and price competitive. |All in all the installation was completed in 8 hours and i am very happy with the service and the company. I would definitely recommend.

Description of Work: Installed a generator. All went well except they mounted the electrical and piping to the front of our house which i didnt agree to. Looked terrible and had to pay landscaper to hide with shrubs.

The cost of our generator and service was an investment in our home; and it has already provided us with the comfort of knowing that we will have heat and electric power, no matter what the weather conditions. I especially like the personalized maintenance and service; the friendly attitude of the workers; the commitment and expertize of the owners; and the fact that the owner's mother is one of the people I spoke to several times and who is a warm, caring lady.

Description of Work: We had several companies coming in to give us an estimate to put in a generator. Many of them tried heard to sell. But Vincent was very professional and not attempted to over sell. he provided an estimate very quickly via email, with a competitive price. Then I had questions (many) and he was extremely patient and professional about the whole thing. We ultimately decided to delay the purchase because of budget but he would be someone I call when we are ready.

Description of Work: The last time Bold came to my house was to perform a relatively minor fix to my back-up generator and it cost me nothing because it was covered under either the service contract or the manufacturer warranty. | |However, the real story is that these people are wonderful. They installed the generator for us after Hurricane Irene. They gave an accurate, competitive quote, performed the installation on time and efficiently, and were just great to work with. We took out a maintenance plan with them, and that was the smartest thing we ever did. |Less than 2 years later, when Hurricane Sandy hit, we were one of the very few houses in town with power, which meant that we were able to welcome friends and neighbors and help out where we could with cooking, refrigeration, laundry and a few home comforts. This would not have been possible without Bold's owner Vincent and the wonderful people he has working with him. These folks worked round the clock for days on end in terrible conditions. Many (including Vincent) did not have power in their own homes, roads were impassable and dangerous but somehow they managed to make sure that all their clients got the service they needed to keep the generators running until power was eventually restored. | |Since then I have only seen them for regular maintenance and a couple of small issues, but each time I have called them they have been attentive and quick to respond. | |I cannot praise this company enough. They got my family, and many others through one of the most devastating times I have ever experienced.

Description of Work: They rewired an antique hanging lamp in my dining room and put in a new dimmer switch.

Description of Work: I had smoke detectors replaced because the were hard wired without battery backup--against code for township. When i asked Bold to change the batteries, I inquired about smoke detectors with batteries that last 10 years. The company did not recommend them. I therefore agreed to have the detectors with batteries that had to be changed yearly. The owner told me the company had a return service which means they would return every year to change batteries. I asked to be signed up for that service. The person who came out and changed the detectors took working hard wire detector with him. After I paid the bill for the 5 new detectors, I have not heard from the company again.
