Edison was wonderful. I discovered a leak Saturday and he came on a Sunday to check my roof and give me a quote. And Monday the roof was replaced. His prices were competitive and he had a better warranty than others. He was also able to take down and old chimney and replaced my downspout. I’ll hire him for other jobs in the future.

Edison of A1-Dependable, LLC had answered my HomeAdvisor project request within 10 minutes when I entered it online. Edison's 3 man crew worked meticulously while replacing the leaking section of our pitched roof with new plywood sheathing, vapor barrier, ice shield and shingles. In addition to the needed roof repair work, I had discussed with Edison a request to install a stainless steel chimney liner and cap to exhaust our furnace and hot water heater. I also had Edison check our fireplace flue and chimney and we both agreed it needed a damper and a coating of ceramic cement that sealed the existing flue and chimney, It was needed and his additional quote for the chimney liner, the chain damper and ceramic cement spray application was very reasonable and fair compared to the national and local averages costs. As a former roofer in my younger years. I knew that the estimate was very fair by today's market, for our area code. In fact it was lower for the 3 projects combined. Edison's lead man Tony, identified the source of the leak, which turned out to be bad section of plywood sheathing. Mike and John did a great job of installing the chimney liner and hooking up the furnace and hot water heater exhausts. Tony sprayed the fireplace flue with the ceramic cement and sealed the flue liner very well. We can now safely enjoy our fireplace once again. I was particularly impressed with the professionalism the crew displayed. They were very polite and meticulous with the clean up. The 3 areas were spotless, when they finished for the day. Went on line. Selected A1 for an estimate based on their 4.93 out of 5 rating. Edison arrived on time, explained all the fireplace issues with pictures and diagrams in layman’s terms. Tony and Tony arrived on time, completed each step showing me their progress. They worked in the rain to assure the chimney work was completed in the 2 day time frame predicted. They are knowledgeable, considerate of the customer, neat. Passed inspection with flying colors. Would highly recommend Edison and his crew!!!

Fast estimate with very reasonable cost, quick booking, nice guys. Roof was fixed literally the next day from when I called. Guys showed up on time both for the estimate and for the work almost to the exact minute. Personable team and wanted to show me everything they could about what was previously done wrong to remember for when I do the whole roof eventually -- without pressuring me into a whole roof replacement right away. Would use these guys again for sure. So glad I hired them and not the company that wanted double the cost to do it "a week or two" from when I called.

I very happy i find the right company to repair my roof. I want to thank home advisor who gave me this opportuniti because i did repair my roof twice last year with 2 different companies but they charged me to much and still didn’t fix my leak. Because of the leak i has some more problems inside the hause . I get in touch with A1 dependable and first i was not sure if they will be able to fix the leak because my experience with 2 other companies last year. But they did the job very professionally and it took them two days . I saw they put more materials on roof then the others . This job was done 2 months ago and I didn’t have leak no more . I had a isue with my front chimney some bricks was missing and the chimney was cracked I realized that by myself because i had a backdraft when i put the fire on . I called A1 dependable to come to give me a estimate , when this guys show up explained me everything. I hired them straight away.They started working after two days . I wasn’t home that day , when i came back i saw that The job was well done and everything was cleaned . They did a perfect job plus they waterproof my chimney for free. Thanks to A1 dependable . When i tried to make a fire this winter for the first time in my townhouse, i found that the smoke was coming into the room instead of up the flue, and yes it was open. I made an appointment with Edison to come by to take a look and give me an estimate. When he examine the chimney he found there was nothing wrong but explained to me why I was having a problem and what to do the next time I lit a fire so that the smoke would vent properly. And no charge! Very nice guy. I will call him again in the future.

Edison, the rep I dealt with, proved to be extremely knowledgeable and dependable. He explained everything in great detail and used his phone to take pix and videos to support his explanations of what needed to be done and to show the work as it was being done and when it was completed. When I contracted for the job, we agreed that if the job involved more than specified in the contract, we would amend the contract for additional charges as warranted. As it turned out, half of my roof was so bad all the plywood had to be replaced. Edison took care of it all without blinking an eye for reasonable additional charges. Hire this guy -- he's great!
