We needed a cracked window replaced.. We had the pane. John popped by, gave us a quote and fixed it on the spot. Down to earth guy.

John the Window Guy is all that and more! He thoroughly documented what needed to be done with our many windows that were in serious need of service and worked up an estimate, explaining what had to be done. Anything John needs to repair windows he carries in his van which he brings to the worksite; he takes the windows from the house to the van and brings them back like new. The price for the service is reasonable and John was able to repair our many windows in one day. We highly recommend the Window Guy if you need somebody to make your sad, saggy, foggy windows happy, perky and sparkling clear again. He knows his way around those screens, too! :-)
Description of Work: Repaired/replaced a dozen window glass panes that had fogged up because the seals were broken. Repaired/replaced numerous window screens. Repaired/adjusted damaged or broken window sashes and screen clips.

John did an excellent job. The sealed glass looks like new. The minor complaint that I have is that it took awhile, and that John did not return phone calls in a prompt manner.
Description of Work: Replaced insulated windows that were no longer sealed.

Poor.
Description of Work: This man wanted many hundreds of dollars to simply wash the replacement windows which fold into our UWS apartment. He then washed them with a bucket and newspaper, and did a fair job. but...about $20 a window comes to about $100 an hour. I would rather do it myself.

He was very diligent, provided alot of good information and references, and had great follow-up as well. We ended up going with a different company, however, the estimate process went very well.
Description of Work: provided estimates on window replacement.

John works really well and fast. His prices are the lowest - I've checked a dozen other window and glass establishments in my area and John's prices are substantially lower. He sometimes takes a little time to respond. Also, if the glass is not in stock it takes him about 2 weeks to place the order and get the glass. I've never had any problems with the quality of his work. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: I've had a lot of work performed by John in my house - he's replaced a lot of window panes and patio door glass.
