DnR Reglazing

Excellent preparation which led to a great job. By all means we strongly recommend D-R Reglazing.

Diego at Dr Reglaze, I can not express how impressed I am, but here is an attempt. I am renovating and moving into an apartment with bathrooms that have not been touched ascetically since 1965. Buttercream. Buttercream everything. Walls, floor, tub, sink, toilet. Buttercream. This will not do. Since I am doing quite a bit of work we are looking at glazing this bathroom for now, to deal with the look in such a way that we can live with for a few years with out killing my reno budget. One company simply said $950 no problem. Diego on the other hand asked all the right questions. What kind of insurance does the building demand? Will the vanity and toilet be included? If not can we remove them so we can get the seal on the tiles behind? Can I come see the bathroom ahead of time? So forth and so on. Thorough. Diego arrived early to the walk through, bonus points, and was very courteous and professional. Once we took a look and Diego inspected the tiles he informed me that we had a problem. There are quite a few loose tiles on my walls. If left unattended they would allow moister behind them, mold the walls and the possible wiggle and moisture would ruin the glaze in no time. Thats right Diego TALKED ME OUT of hiring him. This man, who I have now known for about 2 mins, prized delivering a quality job to me over his own financial gains, unlike the other firm. This simple interaction alone tells me all I need to know about this guy. 1) He spotted the problem that no one else knew or took the time to look for. 2) Once found, he alerted me to it and explained why it means I should not glaze the tiles. You want someone you can trust who does a good job. You just found him.

Bath looks incredible! He was easy to reach, reliable, on time, very nice. Did a fabulous job- even repaired wall and replaced tile where necessary. I highly recommend him. I would use him again. Saved me thousands of dollars compared to replacing the tile. Bath looks new and clean with beautiful white tiles rather than ugly brown.

I called Diego after all the great reviews at Angie's list. I needed to re-do a tub that was re-glazed from before, plus another bathtub. He called me right away and gave me a fair price, he also was very accommodating to my needs to re-schedule the work. Diego arrived early and was very clean, left the place the way he found it. My only suggestion is for him to provide instructions of how to treat the bathtub once it was glazed (cleaners, etc.) Nonetheless, I'll use him again.

I called Diego on a Tuesday and he called me back in a few hours because he was working. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner! He is a lovely, courteous professional. We made the appointment for April 23rd and he confirmed the day before. He was prompt and he did a FANTASTIC job. The tub and the surrounding tiles look brand new! I'm so sorry that I didn't go on Angie's List sooner and find Dr. Reglazing. He cleaned up the area beautifully and completed the job in a very reasonable amount of time.

Diego did a great job. Work was done in a very precise way. He even removed the shower door (and reinstalled it) so that he could get a clean edge in sealing the seams along the door. He was prompt, professional, and left the bathroom very clean. I would definitely use him again and recommend Diego to others.

They showed up first thing in the morning as promised. They were very respectful of our home and made sure not to leave a mess. They took about as long as they said it would take. They educated us on the do's and don't's of the finished product. We did have a question after they left and they were as responsive and helpful after the job was completed as they were before. A real class act.

Diego was awesome. He came on time....actually he came 15 mins before he was scheduled. It was great since I had told him I needed to leave early to pick up my son in school. It was great that since he really took his time prepping the bathtub with all the sanding and applying acid to deep clean. He took more time prepping than painting and according to some reports that is how it should be. He even gave me some pointers on re-grouting the tiles if I wanted to go the DIY route. Will definitely recommend.

Diego's work was fantastic. He did a superb job at a price much less than other quotes I received from other Angie's List reglazers. He was also the most responsive person with which I spoke. Diego was prompt in responding to calls / requests and always professional. Even after the job was complete, he was quick to follow-up and provided exceptional service. Would use him again in an instant and wholeheartedly recommend his work.

Diego was such a nice guy and so professional. I called him from across the country got an estimative, schedule the service, took care of the paperwork needed for the building and send him a check after he finish the job. I called on the phone. I explained the problem which he understood completely. He told me exactly what he was going to do and gave me a price. He said he he didn't need to see the tub first. He called the day before he was supposed to come and confirmed. He showed up on time. He was neat and polite. I asked him if he needed anything to which he answered no. He did a beautiful job. This service was everything that was promised. Because of the great reviews on Angies's List, II skipped the estimate and went right to scheduling. Emails were exchanged quickly and all questions were answered. They were able to schedule on my available day with about a weeks notice. It looks like a hard labor job that was done in a happy friendly manor. I had just had tiles redone and grouted so that expense was saved. Everything looks great. Well worth the cost.

Diego is A++. On time, professional, neat as a pin, cleaned up. A first-class experience with him. It looks like we have a brand new bathroom! And, such a reasonable price. Thanks, Diego!

From my first phonecall with Diego, I had a good feeling. My instincts were right. He did a perfect job reglazing our tub, charged us a fair price and worked with our building's hours and rules for workmen. If I were lucky enough to have a second bathroom and it had a tub that needed work I would definitely hire him again.

Diego and his wife arrived right on time. So punctual in fact that they took us by surprise! They worked as a team did a fantastic job. Not only did they reglaze our tub and make it look brand-new, they also cleaned and polished the rest of the surrounding tile and bathroom fixtures. We should have done this sooner!

Diego was extremely responsive during the entire process, from the estimate until when he was arriving to do the work. He was very straightforward and explained the price and that it could be more if my tub has previously been refinished (I wasn't sure). Upon looking at the tub for a moment he knew it had never been refinished and charged me the lesser amount. He and his wife arrived, even calling me when they were 30 minutes from my apartment which was exactly what I had requested. They were both extremely pleasant and I felt immediately at ease upon meeting them. They are parents of three children and are working hard in order to provide. I wish the rest of the world could wise up and be more like Diego! I also left them alone in my apartment while I went back to my office for them to do the work, and I have to say I felt comfortable doing so. The tub looks great though it still has 24 hours left of 'dry time' so I havent tested it out yet.

Diego responded very promptly when we were figuring out a mutual time and he arrived on time at that appointed hour. Diego and Germania went straight to work and the pair worked with attention to detail and keeping the whole process tidy and clean. They even cleaned out rotten grout that we hadn't really planned on as we were most concerned about the leak. We will be asking them back soon to work on our other bathroom!

I had called several contractors claiming to be expert professionals, but two never called me back in the first place, one called and gave me a "ballpark" estimate of between 295 and 550 but never followed up, and one wasted an afternoon to come and "estimate" the job. He never called back. I finally joined Angie's List and the first place I called didn't return my call. I was getting discouraged. Did no one want to glaze just one tub? In a final effort, I contacted Diego at Dr Reglazing. WOW! This was an excellent experience. He: answered my email immediately; set up an appointment for that Sunday; gave me an accurate estimate of the cost; showed up on time; did everything possible to protect my apartment; did the job in exactly the amount of time he said it would take; cleaned up after himself; and on a short coffee break, we had a really good conversation. For $405 I have a tub that looks like new. I would recommend this Dr. Reglazing and Diego to anyone.

The only factor is to be prepared for some noise from the fan that runs if you have your bathroom rub painted. This fan is necessary to move the chemical smell out but if you live in an apartment people ma complain so check in with your super in advance.

The tub reglazing was the easiest part of the entire bathroom renovation! Diego is wonderful, very responsive and professional. He was very patient with us when we needed to keep rescheduling, first due to Hurricane Sandy, then due to delays on the part of our contractor. Honestly I was a little apprehensive about the reglazing on several counts: whether the paint would get on the newly tiled walls and floor, how the end result would look, and most importantly the smell and fumes created by the reglazing process. As it turns out, I needn't have worried at all. Diego and his wife did a great job covering all other surfaces in the bathroom, so no paint anywhere but the tub. We are very happy with the finished tub, it really looks amazing! Finally, because of the venting that Diego setup (there is a window in the bathroom), there was little smell elsewhere in the house. There was a stronger smell in the bathroom, which would be expected, but the smell dissipated by the next day. We have another bathroom which we want mostly everything reglazed, so we will be having Diego do that early in the new year.
