DnR Reglazing

Diego arrived right on time with his helper as promised. They lugged their equipment up four flights to our apartment and went right to work. They protected our floors with drop cloths and then fully masked the entire bathroom with plastic and tape. I was very impressed with the level of care they took in the prep work. Diego then went to work preparing the tub surface with various grades of sandpaper so it was smooth and calcium free. A powerful fan was used to eliminate the risk of any dust entering the rest of the apartment. Once the prep work was complete, Diego and his helper put on full face respirators and went to work applying the glaze. Again, the large fan prevented almost all of the fumes from entering the apartment and only a very light odor was apparent, and that was actually a clean "paint" smell. Once complete they gave it about 20 minutes or so to set, then applied some caulking along the base of the tub and removed all of the masking. Their clean up was thorough and they didn't leave a speck of dirt behind. Overall the job took about three hours for our situation. We were so impressed with the results and the friendly professionalism of the crew. We highly recommend Diego's company for anyone needing a tub re-glazed as they will be happy with the results. We can't vouch for his tile re-glazing, but judging from the care he took with the tub, I would bet it's just as good.

They did the job in a day and then we got the receipt and statement. They are responsible to come back if something is wrong and all that. They were husband and wife and they were lovely when they came in and they did their thing and they cleaned about it. That was very pleasant so I would highly recommend them again. He just really gave a great service for a reasonable price.

I normally don't do reviews but I found Diego offered exceptional work. I found him on Angies list and noticed the large response and high reviews he had. He showed up on time and finished in the amount of time he said he would. He was very courteous and professional. The tub looks great - it made a huge difference in the bathroom. I would recommend Diego to anyone that needs an updated tub. He lived up to the 5 star reviews on Angies list.

I live in a 120 year old Victorian. Second time reglazing our tile and tub. Original glazer did a great job (finish lasted 13 years) but is no longer in business. Got a quote from a local guy which was competitve but he said that it was impossible to leave all the black accents. (we have white ceramic tile and tub with black accent tile soap dishes, 5 toothbrush holder, mudcaps and and accent line). An obvious lie since our first reglazer was able to do it! Talk about a huge red flag! Decided to check Angie's list. DR Glazing stood out with the large number of great reviews. I have to say: THEY ARE 100% accurate. Our old house has required numerous visits from contractors over the years and Diego is up there with the best. Super professional job and competive price. When he came to quote us Diego gave us the same quote as the guy who lied to us about the accents. Diego said that wouldnt be a problem at all. Everything came out perfect. He even sandblasted our chrome bathtub fixtures which came out like they are brand new. Strong recommend.

The work went well. Diego came first to look at the work, give a quote, and schedule a time to do the job. Diego and his wife came in and applied grout-sealer to the floor before setup, then set up using powerful fans for ventilation and covered surfaces near the work before prepping and painting. I was concerned about any water leaking through the old floor grout (which was in pretty good shape but decades old), but Diego said it would be good with the sealer, so he's looking to do the right work rather than trying to create work like a lot of contractors. They dug out the old grout in the master bedroom tub surround, replaced several cracked tiles (I had matching tiles on-hand), refinished the tub, regrouted the surround, and caulked around the tub. Well worth the money. Diego removed and replaced a large format tile in the hall bath that had been installed by obviously blind previous contractors--it was from a different lot than the tile surrounding it and looked quite different, but I had a leftover that worked well in the spot. They also refinished the hall tub and replaced the caulking around it. Finally, Diego came back later in the week to caulk one spot on the bottom of the spigot. This wouldn't normally be necessary, but these are very old tubs and I wanted the hole on the bottom for adjusting the spigot caulked because the old spigot is in-basin. He also caulked between the baseboard tiles and the floor at the same time, after I picked up some sanded poly caulk that I matched the room in the interim. Overall, I was very satisfied with his work. Obviously the finish is not quite like the original factory-quality one that will last for decades, but it's a good job and certainly a very good option if you don't want to renovate your whole bathroom. Take one good look around at the caulking before he's done--he's very, very good at it, but he did miss a tiny and subtle spot or two that he fixed right away when I pointed them out. Great job at a reasonable price.

Diego and his wife did amazing job on tub that badly needed refinishing. Tub now looks like brand new tub and recaulking was excellent. They also cleaned tile so everything looks brand new!

Diego arrived when he said he would, along with his brother to assist. They are both very friendly and professional. They got right to work. No problems. The tub looks brand new. They also cleaned/polished the faucets and spout. We had removed a glass enclosure that had rotted and Diego filled in the holes in the tub before reglazing, but also the few in the tile wall. Finally, he also cleaned the grout on the faucet/spout wall so it also sparkled like new and re-caulked all around the tub both inside and at the floor. We waited the full three days before showering/bathing (he said we could have waited two, but three was best) and no problems. I have heard from others we know that his price may have been a bit higher (by as much as $100) but it's hard to argue with the quality of the work done. I did not haggle so if you want to try, you might save a little; I don't know. But he comes so highly rated here on AL that I feel I got a professional job that was worth what we paid.

Diego and his team were professional, thorough, and delivered beautiful results. They arrived on time, were very courteous and careful about keeping our newly-painted home as clean as when they left. The 25 year-old tile and bathtub look like new; we could not be happier with the work.

Very professional, respectful, best price. Some of the paint peeled off when he removed tape once the job was finished and he returned and touched it up good as new.

He has a very busy schedule so we waited a while but arrived on time and did a good job. The lines are a bit uneven and there are some air bubbles. they did come back and do the line between floor and tub before they left. However, they did not do the grout on the back side of the wall. So i may call them back to finish.

How did it go? Wonderful! Diego and his assistant Miguel spent about 5 hours regrouting the shower stall's walls and floor. It looks beautiful! I told my family members they can only admire it - not use it (only kidding). It looks brand new and it is over 20 years old and well used. I've had it regrouted twice over the years and neither job came close to Diego's work. Diego was very professional - communicating and showing up on the appointed dates and times for estimate and work.

pablo and Manolo came on time Diego couldnt make it so he sent his brother and father. They were on time and very polite. They finish in three hours. I had never done my tub, it looks brand new. I want to do the entire bathroom but right now I cant afford but will definitely call Diego back when I have some money.

He was able to perform the job on a Saturday. He and his brother worked together for 6-8 hours and cleaned and prepped the area. They refinished the tub and the surround - the tub had been grey now it is white - tiles were white still white. They were professional - on time - neat - cleaned everything before they left. I would use them again and have recommended them to friends since then

I highly recommend D.R. Reglazing- My bathroom was in dyer need of updating and I did not want to go into major expense to rip out tiles and re-do. I herd about this process and met with Mr.Riera and found him to be honest and straightforward. He and his team showed up on the agreed date and they went to work. I was amazed at the results, It looks as if they re tiled the bathroom. They removed old toothbrush and cup holders and on ceramic towel rack- you cant even see where the removed this, it is as if it was never there. I cant tell you happy I am with his results, if you are looking to freshen up your old bat hroom or like me save thousand of dollars- please seek D.R. Reglazing you will not be disappointed.

Diego was always quick to respond to voice mail and very easy to communicate with and work with. He showed up exactly on time and did an outstanding job. His bathtub re-glazing includes the application of a rough surface to the floor of the tub to minimize slippage; this is a very welcome feature. He also performed the same service for three of my neighbors in the my building and they are also very satisfied with the quality of his work. Outstanding.

After several unsuccessful attempts to find someone to regrout my stall shower, I found D.R. REGLAZING on Angie's List. The reviews were uniformly good so I figured this company would be a good option. I was not disappointed. Diego responded quickly to my initial call, promptly scheduled a visit to estimate the project, scheduled a work date within three weeks, arrived promptly on the work date with his brother-in-law and completed all work within 5 hours with a minimum amount of dust and disruption and at a fair price. The work was well done and it was a pleasure to deal with service providers as polite and well-manner as Diego and his assistant.
