My dining room looks wonderful, and I'm so pleased with the work he did that I'm referring my friends to him that live in the area. One of my high school friends is looking for someone to do some sparkling and drywall work, so I told her to check out his company. When the snow melts in the spring, I will definitely call Tom again to power wash the house. Great deal, great service, great guy.
Description of Work: Spackle, remove a border from the wall, and paint the room a much lighter color. This was not easy to do as the original room was a dark, navy-isa blue and we wanted to change it to a warm beige tint.

+ 2 moreThis is the second time we have used Tom and Family Painters. Their work is excellent. Tom is pleasant to work with and he is extremely reliable. His work is first class, taking a great deal of care in prepping as well as the final job. The work was completed extremely fast and Tom and his partner worked in a tidy manner without any mess. They cleaned before they left and the house was back to normal very quickly. We are thrilled with the result and will definitely be using Tom again. We have already booked his services to clean our gutters and will be getting our roof cleaned in the Spring. Flawless professional job!
Description of Work: Great Room and Home Office. Fixed a crack in the wall where joined to sheet rock,. smoothed all walls and painted. Painted trim white in both rooms, painted walls in both rooms.

+ 1 moreVery happy with the job. Thomas, the owner, is very meticulous and also efficient. Family Painters is a small shop. Thomas gave us our estimate and also did most of the work. A helper showed up for the doors. The job took three days.
Description of Work: Painted entryway, stairway,hallway one bedroom, ceilings for same and 11 doors. Fixed/ spackled nail pops (a whole lot of them), holes, dings, cracks.

+ 1 moreMy roof was expertly cleaned, including the chimney surface, with their soft-wash treatment and it looks absolutely like new. Further, because there was no pressure used, there was no damage to the roof in the form of that grit that's on the shingles coming through the downspouts. Further, they cleaned my gutters and removed the useless gutter guards at my request. Tom explained the whole process beforehand and he and his crew left the area around the house clean. Great work, Family Painters! And, not for nothing, a pretty excellent price. I would definitely recommend Family Painters for this service.

+ 0 moreWhat a difference this procedure made! We had dark streaks and all kinds of green growing on our almost 20 yr. old roof. Tom of Family Painters walked the entire roof and almost as quickly as he sprayed his magic liquid the roof came to life again. This is not power washing . What ever Tom used stays on the roof & continues to kill any growth. The rain washes any dead debris off. Well worth the $. Having this done was not only cosmetic but more importantly preventative maintenance. This will prolong the life of our roof. Love it!!

+ 0 moreTom was extremely responsive to our initial call, he came to estimate the work the next day and sent us a very reasonable quote to paint my home office, hang some very heavy mirrors and fix a closet door. He arrived on time on both days he was working and did a first class job. We loved the paint job he did and he even assisted with advising us on color choice. He was extremely tidy and even vacuumed after painting! He is a true professional and we will definitely be using him for our next big job. Highly recommended.

+ -1 moreTom is a pleasure to work with. This is the second time that we have hired him to do renovations in our home and we will be hiring him again to help us renovate the garage and do our kitchen remodel. He does all the work himself and is meticulous in his attention to detail.
Description of Work: We had work done on our den area and one bedroom as well as some miscellaneous small things. The bedroom walls needed to be repaired. We had a flood a few years ago and the work that was done (by another contractor) was poor. The walls need to be spackled, sanded and then painted. We also had the molding and bedroom closet doors painted. The den area which includes the hallway at the bottom of the stairs and several closet doors were all painted and the door handles and hinges were replaced and the walls were repaired in places. The built-in bookshelf in the den was painted and molding added to improve the appearance. He also painted the area under each stair tread on the staricase. On top of that he treated and painted over an area on the kitchen ceiling that had some water damage that occurred when we were having our chimney rebuilt. He repaired our bedroom closet ceiling and painted the closet.

+ 3 moreTom is meticulous about his work. He's friendly, easy to get along with and didn't mind when I started adding things to the initial job. He always arrived when he said he would and even stayed until the end of the day when it was snowing and he could have left. If he does something and doesn't like the way it looks, he does it over again. I have an older home and it has settled and we don't have one straight line in the house. Tom rebuilt door frames to make the molding straight. It looks like a new house. His estimate was actually the highest of those that we received but it was worth every penney that we spent. We will be remodeling our kitchen countertops and redoing a bathroomin the near future and I will definitely hire Tom to do the work.
Description of Work: The area that we renovated was the living/dining room, kitchen, foyer, hallway and two bedrooms. We replaced all of the molding and the doors (6) and installed crown molding in the living/dining room, foyer, kitchen and master bedroom. We also had this entire space painted. We had carpeting from one bedroom removed. We had bi-fold doors installed in a bedroom closet.

He's the ultimate perfectionist, so everything is done with the utmost care, as if he were working on his own home. My husband and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Tom and his assistant worked long hours to get the job done in a resonable length of time. They cleaned up each day and performed like true professionals. We 're having him do additional work for us soon, including exterior painting. I can't say enough good things about Family Painters. And don't let the name fool you.......Tom is a whiz at much more than painting. Our remodel is perfect!
Description of Work: We had extensive work done to update the house. All interior doors were changed, including trim. Two bathrooms updated. The master bath was gutted and bedroom closet are was reframed to include a walk-in closet as well as a linen closet. Master bath got new tub, toilet, sink and vanity etc. Floors in both baths and well as kitchen and laundry room had ceramic tile laid. Second bath has a new pedestal sink and was painted.

+ 0 moreTom Corman arrived promptly at 8:30 a.m. to clean my roof. The stain across my entire right front of the house was enormous. In addition to the moss and mold that was taking hold on the back of the roof. I am very pleased with the results. The difference is astounding. My roof looks new. I only wish I knew about this years ago. This is something I would recommend to any conscientious homeowner. You home is an investment and maintaining it is very important.

+ 0 moreThere were three sections of sheet rock cut out and replaced. You wouldn't even know they had been replaced. He did such a wonderful job. He painted base boards, doors and two closets also. I would recommend them very highly. I would use them again if needed. We plan on it.
