Dan The Affordable Moving Man

If I could give negative stars I would. Irresponsible, disrespectful, little man who told me to "GO **** YOURSELF *****" when I asked him to clarify what he needed for the COI for our building. God forbid we do things thoroughly! Take your money elsewhere.

For a third generation mover, Dan was beyond unprofessional and thought it would be a good idea to swear repeatedly at the person who hired them, and then call them a "f&*king b&*ch". Had previously used Dan several times and recommended him to friends and family. Boy was that a mistake and let me tell you that counted for absolutely nothing. Had an unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstance with major home renovation delays to the house we were moving to necessitate changing the move date. Called 10+ days out to request a change of date. Dan was incredibly rude and nasty and requested $400, in cash, before he would even look at another date. Keep in mind the only thing signed was a non binding estimate. Can't imagine, especially with all that goes into a move being the only customer ever that has needed to change move dates. Instead of any sort of customer service, Dan demanded his $400 and was beyond rude. Then when he came to pick up the money, went on a tirade and cursed left and right and as mentioned above, called the person who hired him awful names. If that's how you do business and conduct yourself with 15 year clients who have driven a lot of business your way, then you like us should pass on Dan the Affordable moving man. Do NOT USE EVER! He then proceeded to text me for 30 mins calling me and my wife, "Garbage", "Scumbags", "Trash", "Pig Mouths" and more. Called for a quote, And when i asked if he was available on a certain date he told me to call him back once i speak to my husband and was sure i told him i was sure if the date was available and then freaked out and told me i dont get and he doesn't want me business hangs up and when i call back to try and explain he calls me a dumb ***** before hanging up again I am personally disused by this man and noone should even give him business

I found Dan's company through google and just had them move our house the other day. Three very professional and friendly guys showed up early and on time, and were extremely efficient. I had a great experience with this company and would highly recommend them. The price was completely reasonable -- and also clear from my first meeting with Dan so there was no confusion at the end of the day. I will definitely use them again in the future when I need to do another move.

I called Dan to schedule an estimate. He explained everything and I realized he was not going to physically come out and see what needs to be moved. I mentioned that I thought by law he had to physically see the job and he screamed at the top of his lungs at me and told me he does not need my F@$#ing business. He kept repeating himself. I continue to ask him if I can explain what needs to be moved and he told me he doesn't care about what F!#@#ing needs to be moved and when I am ready to pay his $125 an hour he will come and move it.

Movers were very nice and showed up on time. No problem moving bedroom set. Armoire move damaged the walls coming down the stairs and the Armoire was also damaged. Movers wanted to know if I had any limits lifting things. I told him I'm retired due to my bad back. They were hoping I could help them move the Armoire The movers apologized for the damage to the walls. They explained the reason they damaged the wall was because Dan failed to schedule another man to move this enormous Armoire. I really don'the think Dan the moving man is a A rated business. On Dan's business card it clearly states he charges $65.00 per hour. He charged me $95.00 per hour. Now I have hours of repair work to do to my walls and stain work to repair Armoire.

I needed moving services, called and spoke to Dan, who was quite possibly the most unprofessional person I have ever spoken to. I mentioned that I wanted to know if they were available for a certain date. He said that they don't just quote to quote and that I would have call when I am ready to book. I said, I need to know if they were available for a certain date so that I can plan. He got an attitude with me and once again told me to call back when I was ready to book. I told him I would let Angie's list members know how rudely he behaved and then he told me to go "F" myself and called me another derogatory term. Please do yourself a favor, and do not waste your time with this company. Anyone who thinks that speaking to someone in the manner that he spoke to me should not be given any business. I am shocked at how rude and unprofessional he was on the phone. I can only imagine how they are when they are moving you.

Dan's company was great. They were on time, the crew was courteous and professional, took good care of our possessions, and even finished earlier than the estimate so we got some money back. Would definitely use again and recommend to friends.

Highly recommended. Good pricing, no extra costs, Dan and his team arrived on time did a great job. Dan even came for the initial quote in the middle of a snow storm. Can't say enough good things about this company..

I have seen his signs all over, posted on trees & poles, so I decided to call him. I spoke directly to Dan. He was kind of gruff over the phone. Not professional or refined. I was actually intimidated by him & I decided not to use his services.

All my belongings arrived in perfect condition and great care was used to place them correctly. Friendly and hardworking. Very reasonable and true to estimate. Highly recommend.

The first call I made to Dan was answered immediately, even in the middle of the day. Dan outlined all his policies at that time, and we agreed to meet at the storage unit so that he could estimate the time and cost involved. He arrived at the storage unit at exactly the agreed upon time. He was extremely knowledgeable about what needed to be done, and wrote up a detailed estimate of the cost (which ended up being nearlly 100% accurate). On moving day, the 2 movers arrived promptly at the designated time. They were careful, considerate, and friendly. At the destination location, we had some delays that were not their fault in any way, and they handled the situation gracefully and patiently. I would use Dan and his staff to move me or any member of my family ANY TIME. This was the best moving experience I have ever had, and I've had a lot of moves in my time!!!
