Passaic Bergen Water Softening

Second time i had an issue with then over charging me. I had setup an appointment for salt delivery and to check the water filtration system. In between the scheduling and the appointment the water filter issue resolved itself, they insist on still charging me $150 for the service visit ex the salt delivery. Keep in mind one technician came out to put salt in the water softener and “check” water system. I never got a bill or adked to sign anything, they just charged the card on file. Random charge just shows up on my credit card. Borderline fraudulent activity here. Would be very careful using them if you are a new customer. Further there filters are custom so you need them to change the filter every 4-6 months which you can only use them and they charge near $500 for this. Be really careful with this company! Not to mention they don't tell you, your water pressure goes down by 40% when u install this stuff!

If you need Water Softener service, you should hire he best! Go with Passaic Bergen Water Softening. Prompt, courteous, excellent work and helpful advice to avoid future problems.

Correction to my review in 2017 - thought I had informed the Angie customer rep the owner did come to my home and completed the job which I was very appreciative. Just happen to review my previous reviews in archive and saw it was not updated - my apologies to Passaic Bergen team - was very pleased with overall service after scheduling mix up was resolved.

I'd give them all "A's". I would use them again. There was one thing I didn't like. When they did an analysis of my tap water, they said on a scale of 1 to 10, mine was an 11 it was that bad. I live in Secaucus, you can't exaggerate that level, I think they were just trying to make a sale, I was going to install it anyway. Making that kind of statement doesn't give me that much confidence in them. It's not like I live in Flint, Michigan. I know what is the water quality in Secaucus. You can't say on a level of 1 to 10 it's an 11. One guy came for the analysis and then one guy came for the install. They were very quick. He did it single-handedly and he was an expert.

Chris was the installer who came. He was right on time, in fact a few minutes early. He called ahead to let me know that as well. He explained everything he would be doing thoroughly so I would understand. He finished the install in the stated amount of time (3 hours max) and explained what he did and how the system worked. Overall, it was a great experience and I have already referred a neighbor to them because of their great service & professionalism.

Great! Not only were they professional, they were punctual and their work was top notch. I have use them on the past two houses and I'm about to use them on my third. Great company great work !

Prompt, efficient installation. No issues during or after. Water quality has greatly improved and helping a lot with skin issues.

The technician was at my home. He put Calcite into my water conditioning system on 4/9/17.He did not have enough Calcite in is truck so we needed to make another appointment. We made the appointment for this Thursday 4/13/17. The administrative assistant Michelle Lopez sends me an email on Tuesday at 5:14 pm stating they wanted to change the time from 1-3 pm today on Thursday I called them to confirm they would be here at 11:30 am sharp and I was informed by their customer service rep that they had sent me an email to confirm the change. I agreed to the change as long as it was today. The customer service person said they would leave Michelle a message to call me. She did not call so I had to call back. Michelle said she would make sure a technician was available to come today. She called back saying no one was available and asked if we could reschedule to Monday. I said no as I am very busy. This is poor treatment as this appointment was scheduled a week ago.

Installation went fine. Filter changes and salt delivery service continues to go well. Would recommend this company to others.

I had called Passaic Bergen Water Softening not knowing what I needed. My kids had very bad itchy dry skin and I was sick of carrying cases of water. I explained to the salesman what I was looking for, he was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. The following week I had the units installed. The installer was very professional and pleasant. I do not know how I lived without a Water Softener and Reverse Osmosis system all these years.

great! When they came out to give me an estimate they very informative. They knew exactly what was wrong with the water in my area. We had a softener installed. Johnny was our installer he was excellent! I highly recommend this company. They are curtious, very knowledgable and have great prices! its been three years and they keep up with the maintance of the softener and the salt delivery.

This company is professional, efficient, friendly and very accommodating. They were the only softening company able to fix the water issues I was having in my home. My children have eczema and the water made there skin very red and irritated also a lot of my shower heads were getting clogged as well. They tested the water and immediating fixed all the problems I was having. The owners of the company went out of their way to provide impeccable service. I highly recommend this company and I am extremely satisfied.

The installation process was extremely efficient, and professionally done. The installer worked within the time frame described, even though he had to redirect a pipe during the process. The only small complaint I have is during the sales process; the sales pitch was a little gender stereotyped (my husband heard about the advantages regarding soft water and appliances, while I was specifically pitched about soft water and my resulting softer skin and hair). Otherwise, I thought it was a great company to work with and I'd be happy to work with them again.

The work went great, the tech showed up on time and was very pleasant to deal with. He asked me to show him where my lawn faucets were. He looked, analyzed, gave me a couple of options, both within reasonable price. Next he showed me exactly what he was going to do and did the job to the "tee". It was a great easy going experience and a job well done. Will definitely use Passaic Bergen Water again.

Technician showed up earlier than expected and performed the job as expected. He was honest because there was no need to have a bypass and extra plumbing necessary since the house apparently had an older system before. I think his name was Rob and did a neat job and cleaned up after doing the job. He waited for me and gave me basic instructions if any problems occurred with the system. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service and professionalism of the technician!

Installation went smoothly and as expected. Joe was very nice and answered all my questions. I haven't called for additional service yet; however, I plan to today for a check on the system and water quality.

Passaic Bergen Water Softening did an excellent job of installing our unit. They not only installed the unit, but also did a water bypass connection to our sprinkler system. They are complete professionals - set up an appointment, came on time, performed the job cleanly. We recommend them highly.

They squeezed us into their and our busy schedules, and showed up right on time. Joe identified the problem(s) very quickly, and resolved them just as quickly. No upselling, and he showed me all the things that needed service or replacement - and it was OBVIOUS why they needed work. Very clear about what was needed, very friendly. Excellent value for the work.

I had some issues with my RO system that they had installed. I emailed them about it and even though we had exceeded a year, John immediately came and replaced the system for us. It was a 24 hour turnaround from the time I had sent the email to the time that he got out here. I appreciate the service and the company standing by its product
