They did a great job. Owner came to our home the Saturday before installation. We were considering Culligan but were more impressed with Passaic Bergen. Plus they were less expensive. They did a beautiful installation and now we have soft water.

Making the appointment was simple and efficient. The person answering the phone picked up quickly, was able to answer all my questions and set up a convenient appointment. The person who arrived to provide an estimate was prompt and knowledgeable. He did not try any "hard sell" like other water softener companies have done to me in the past. He recommended the appropriate type of water softener based upon my usage and did not try to sell me more than I required. On the day of the install, the installer called twice when he was delayed to update me on his estimated time of arrival. He installed the system in a professional manner and left the place cleaner than before. He was pleasant and friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. A great overall experience. They even had a coupon for Angie's list customers which they honored without any issue.

Owner Joe came with Chris on time for the installation. It took them about 4 hours to finish the job. I was with them during the whole process, and I was very happy with their job. They explained to me how the system works and it was very pleasant to work with them. After the softener was installed, they cleaned up. They even tested the water after the installation which showed zero gpg. The only thing I was a little disappointed is that I thought I could use the coupon printed from here ($125 off), and was told that the quoted price already includes any coupon or discount.

I contacted Passaic Bergen several months before I decided to purchase their softener. Joe (an owner) answered all my questions on several different occasions with no mention of a purchase from me. When I elected to purchase the water softener, Bergen Passaic was the only choice based upon my experience. They came when promised and finished in a couple of hours. Joe and his employee were very neat and professional. In short it was a pleasure to deal with such a company and other service companies should take a lesson from them.

Owner Joe M stopped by, tested the water and inspected old system. We went through various options based on our wants and needs and at no time did I feel pressure or that he was pushing any one item or line. For instance , rather than a digital softener (more expensive) , we went electric , but manual dial (like a timer). No problem. He inspected drain line and since we could not find exactly where it went, we decided to tap into the existing kitchen line instead. A little extra plumbing, but worth it. We set appointment for a week later. 2 man crew showed up on time. The secured the new whole house filter and water softener system. They removed old salt barrel and system. The work took a little longer than I think they expected, but no major surprises. They explained everything I needed to know about the system and made sure I was satisfied before they left. They cleaned up and left everything in the basement better than it was before they came. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend this company. I called Passaic Bergen and told them I wanted a reverse osmosis system installed in my house. We discussed in detail on the phone what size tank, etc would be best for me. They were able to do the installation a few days after my call. The installation was done without a hitch. I just moved to Fair Lawn and quickly realized the difference in the water quality especially when taking a shower and washing my hair. There was no soap lather and my hair was becoming brittle. I asked around and was told that a water softener would help. I had no references or knowledge on how the system worked. I looked online at a few companies and scheduled an estimate with Passaic Bergen Water Softening. I was very surprised when one of the owners came and provided me with an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and even suggested that I call a few companies and price around. I did and couldn?t find one that made me feel as comfortable as Passaic Bergen Water Softening. They were very honest and I was not pressured to make a decision right away. I scheduled an installation with them. They were on time and very professional. Since then, I?ve had a few questions and have been given timely responses. I highly recommend this company.

A pleasant, assuring, pretty much effortless experience! From the time John came in our front door we knew we had made the correct decision to go with this company. He showed up on time for the consultation, shook our hand and was very forthright, knowledgeable and respectful. We had done a lot of research on water testing, water softeners and filtration prior to calling. We felt pretty sure what we needed and felt we would know if we were being sold more than what we really needed. We had also researched all of the types of softeners and knew what was and was not right for our situation. John tested our water and told us the results. He then took a look at our old system. He explained in detail how the softeners work and any variations between types of softeners. He was very honest in explaining what would fill our needs, what we could go with but didn't really need and what would really just be a waste of money. It came down to two options and we chose the one we felt was correct for us. John also suggested rearranging the placement of the equipment that made a lot of sense and gave us extra room. Above and beyond anything he had to do at no extra charge to us, thanks so much! The technician who assisted that day was wonderful. Down to earth and very polite. They completed the job and thoroughly cleaned up afterward. I have to say that they actually left the room cleaner than they found it! We arranged for automatic salt delivery and installation, too cool. The best thing ~ as John was leaving, I asked him, "Is there anything I should know about the system?" He answered no, just call us if anything seems awry and we will be right out, WONDERFUL! Our water softener is working beautifully, we gave it a week to make sure we felt the difference. All is great!

Johnny, came out to my house, and took time to explain the water softening process, and systems available and which one would fit my needs the best. He was up front with all the costs and work that would be needed to complete the installation. The day of the install he was on time, he was very careful and neat, and cleaned up after he was done. The overall process went very quick and smooth. So far I have not had any problems with my system, Bergen Passaic now delivers salt to my house and I love my Soft water!

We recently purchased our first home and completed many renovations including a new kitchen and bathrooms. Any appliance that water goes through in our home had been replaced and was new. Within a week or two, we noticed that our dishes in the dishwasher were coming out cloudy and water spots stayed on our sink and fixtures. THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB! I am very detailed oriented and want everything PERFECT.... they did it! Their installation was flawless, neat and integrates with our home water system perfectly. I really can't say enough nice things about Joe, John, Karen and Desire. They are certainly diamonds in the rough and are some of the nicest, most helpful, super-knowledgeable experts in making your water quality better. ? No more white spots on our dishes, our children's sensitive skin issues have been resolved, and we use way less soap than in the past. The reverse osmosis system is great too. I told my wife she didn't need to buy the expensive bottled water any more. As soon as you call Passaic Bergen Water Softening, you'll know you are in good hands. I recommend them over and over.
