I wish all business owners operated in this fashion. On time, with an awesome attitude, took the time to educate us on our water softener that they didn't even install. Not once did they try to sell us anything, it was just pure quality. Because of they way they treated us, I will always use them and recommend them. P.S Their pricing on a full system installed is worth every penny. Going the DIY route on these kinds of things just end up costing more in the long run.

I had done a lot of research on softener brands and gotten a few quotes prior to deciding on Passaic Bergen. I chose them based on price, quality of products offered and most importantly customer service. Out of all the vendors they had slightly better prices, but I found that they did not pressure me to close the deal and were completely honest with the different products and terminology behind them. Their customer service is great. They are promptly available for questions I had pre and post install. Their labor warranty was better than other vendors. The install itself was cleanly. Overall I'm satisfied with decision to go with Passaic Bergen and hope you will be too.

John Palmieri and the team at Passaic Bergen water softening are extremely professional and knowledgeable at their field. With our installation of the water softener in our home we encountered some issues and John Palmieri took full responsibility and control of the situation from beginning until the end. The owner, Johnny, showed up right on time and cheerfully checked over my water softener and it's programming. He then made sure I understood it's operation and what I need to do to ensure it continues to operate properly. Terrific service!

The salesman was knowledgeable and downright friendly. The person with whom I spoke on the phone was very nice and helpful. The installation went well. Both the salesman and installer showed up when they said they would. There was a minor miscommunication on the cost, which the provider corrected immediately and without question. I got everything I was promised. It was good working with the provider. I highly recommend them.

The provider was on time for delivery and setup. The installation was completed in a timely manner and they cleaned up the work area so as not to know they were there.

He took extra time to talk me through how the system worked conceptually and practically. Discussed maintenance that I can do without engaging him and even took the time to help me download the latest care and maintenance model. We discussed upgrades that could be made in the future, but also determined that there was no urgency. I appreciated the comprehensive information without the hard sell. Service was prompt and professional. Apparently our pipes were oddly arranged so they had to do extra work to hook it up, but at no extra charge. The installer walked us through everything and was kind and friendly. Highly recommend.

Showed up as promised. Assessed problem and made repairs on the spot. Adjusted the controls, which had never been calibrated and we were using salt like crazy. So service call with pay for itself in less salt usage. Overall great experience.

From the beginning the experience was very smooth- the office contact, the consultation, the installation. Everyone was friedndly, timely and efficient- a delight to do business with.

Went great. The office staff was prompt in scheduling a convenient time for me. One of the two owners, Joe, came to perform the service. He was punctual. He put on booties rather than dirty my floors. The service was done quickly. He performed a test of the water from my sinks to confirm the level of hardness in place. He showed that the system was in fact working properly before performing the maintenance procedure. He explained how the system worked and showed me how I could even do the filter cleaning myself (I won't). I asked him questions about the water in my home and asked him to price out a carbon filtration system for my kitchen sink. The kitchen sink bypasses the water softener (to avoid having all the salt in our drinking water). But then it's just straight from the town supply which is heavily chlorinated and undrinkable. He priced the filter installation for me ($190, filter and installation) and we scheduled it through the office to be done. That service was done yesterday. A technician named Chris, not the owner, came this time. He came prepared with booties on and his latex gloves, ready to get to work. He took care of the installation, replaced an old valve, and cleaned up after himself. He worked methodically to prevent leaks/messes/problems. It was clear that he had been well trained not only in the plumbing work, but in customer service. I would recommend the company for any service they provide. From the owner, the office staff, and the field technician, I had a good experience and would have them back in my home.

The owner John came to first test the water and discuss my concerns and issues. I have extremely hard well water which also can omit an oder from time to time when not used regularly. John was on time, professional and answered all of my questions and some. I was given an estimate for the system I wanted and scheduled an appointment for installation the next week. I had also discussed with John the issues the hard water was creating with my hot water heater. I told him once the new system was in I was probably going to replace it. He told me he didn't think it was necessary that my hot water heater had plenty of life in it and offered to come back a week after my install and flush and sanitize my hot water heater himself at no charge! The installers showed up as scheduled and did an excellent job both installing the system, explaining it to me, and cleaning up. You may find someone who will supply you a system cheaper, but remember, you get what you pay for. I selected Passaic Bergen after reading their reviews on Angies List, and they were all accurate.

Very well. The price was good and everyone was great.

They were very prompt in setting up an initial appointment to come and test our water. Joe answered all of my questions and was a huge help. He took a water sample and tested it and determined that we had hard water and suggested which softener would work best for our situation. We proceeded and they were back within a week to do the installation. I would highly recommend them and work with them again in the future.

Installation was toward the end, if not over the anticipated window but that was just fine as I was kept in the loop via phone calls. Upon arrival, the installer walked me through what he was going to do per Joe's inspection and confirmed the plan of action. This included running a new water line to drain the backwash (the previous owner was draining to a utility sink and pump which was inefficient and not necessary. He removed all the old equipment, replaced older piping, and had things up and running within a few hours (including going to the town building to pick up the permit that was ordered for the work). The installer was patient with the fact that I was having the home serviced for extermination that day and worked around the other tech. Good experiences... good value for services paid for (so far).

Fantastic service! The gentleman who came over to give us a quote was very knowledgeable. He was very precise on what would be done and how long it would take. Their pricing offer was good. I had a guy come over and service it and he was great as well.

They were fine. They were wonderful. The gentleman who would deliver the salt water tank was a delightful man. He was very pleasant and very helpful. We used them for around 10 years and we were very pleased with them. But we are not using them anymore since we don't have the water softener anymore. If we need it in the future, we would definitely hire him again.

Excellent! He is one of the best person I ever had to work with for work in my house. I've had him for years. He comes for maintenance checks. He is right on time and he is fantastic. He is friendly, professional, courteous, conscientious, polite and whatever positive I can think of, that's Johnny. I've also spoken to his partner over phone and he is also courteous and very quick.

It was fine. They did a good job. They were very timely in the way they respond. The pricing is fair.

It was good. It went well. They show up when they are supposed to show up. They are professional and they clean up after themselves. They are easy to make an appointment with. They do really good follow up so I have a service with them. So they contact me and they follow up to make sure that I schedule my routine service. I have been using them for three years. I found them because I purchased a house and they were their previous service provider and I heard good things about them so I continued their service and I have been happy. I have not shopped for price so I could not comment on the price. I'm using them in a month.
