Each day the technicians arrived promptly, worked efficiently, and were very courteous and respectful. If I had a question, Dan Coco very patiently answered it. They took great care to protect my carpeting, cleaned their work area at the end of each day, and wore feet covering. They left my home pristine. Also, it is important to acknowledge his office staff. They were all exceptional especially Susan. I spoke with her almost daily and she was wonderful. I would highly recommend this firm and will use them for future remodeling projects.

It was the best experience ever!!!. It was a tremendous amount of work in my opinion and the furnace they were replacing was original with the house. It was a dinosaur, but never failed me. Mark Lindsay and Son was a wonderful experience from the start. Starting with our salesman who came in and listened to what we wanted to do and then dealt with all the emails and questions we had all the way through to the installation. The team that came to do all the work was friendly and nice. They left my basement cleaner than when they started. I am thrilled with my new laundry area. The drain that was installed was done better than I could have imagined. They disconnected my old non working water softener but left the water line in place for a future install. They took care of every detail of this monumental job. I have absolutely no Don'ts . They did more than I ever expected. And they sent us a gift as a way of saying thank you. Never has a company I've done business with before done that. Amazing company - great experience!

I went with a different A/C repair company

All the techs who came were very nice,answered all questions.Did quality work.Took pride in their work.Cleaned the area they worked in each day when they were done.I have had so many workers come to my house that didn't do the job right,took a lot of money and had bad attitudes.Marks staff is just the opposite.They even send a little thank you gift after they were done.I would highly recommend them and I would definitely hire them again.Also office staff is always polite and helpful.

The work took 2 days. They cut apart and removed the bathtub and put in a walk in shower. Also removed the old toilet and put in a new 17 in (toilet bowl) high one.

We have been clients of Lindsay and Son Plumbing and Heating for years. Yes, they are a little more expensive than some others we had tried BUT, you get what you pay for. My husband travels and I have small children. I've called them at 2 a.m. in the middle of the winter with no heat and they've arrived within 20 minutes and didn't leave until I had heat. That's what you're looking for in a plumber. These guys are the best in the business in this area. They can handle anything and the job is always done in a timely, polite, professional, and clean manor. We want the best when it comes to our home. Others may be less expensive but Lindsay is the gold standard.

The company called at 8:30 to tell me the staff was arriving shortly. They did arrive in about 5-10 min. and set up the house in a manner that kept it as clean as possible. Several people were in and out all day installing the boiler. They were quiet, courteous and pleasant. I could not have asked for nicer people to work on this install. They answered any questions I had and asked if I had any additional questions. They installed two new thermostats for us to use with the new boiler system. They cleaned up after themselves. In fact, I had told them that I was having the flooring replaced in a couple of days and they pulled up the old vinyl tile in the area where they were working! I was totally satisfied with the work that was done and the inspector is coming out on the 13th to inspect the work. I expect it will pass with flying colors.

I would not recommend them. I had just moved into my home and wasn't very familiar with how things were working. It was a Friday afternoon when I didn't seem to have enough heat so I called them. They said I needed to replace my thermostat. I had a very good one originally, a programmable one and they replaced it with a cheap one and then wanted to charge me $175.00. I said that was a little high, so we settled on $100.00. I know that the thermostat only cost close to $30.00. Later, after living in the home for about a week or so, I noticed that the thermostat was right over a baseboard heating unit and that is why it had not gone on, it was registering heat. He should have told me that this was the problem, not that I needed to replace my thermostat. I would not trust to use them again because of this.

They are always prompt and do a good job.

They were too expensive. It was fine. I actually have a different plumber now. The general consensus was that they were expensive. They gave me a quote on a new system. I won't be using them in the future.

They have always done a good job. He has some newer plumbers and some that are more experienced. I am giving a B overall based on two experiences - one job he sent out a newer plumber and they had to end up coming back with a more experienced guy to fix it. The other job, which was a larger project, they did excellent with a more experienced plumber. I would use them again but would request a more experienced plumber.

Very tough to trace the condensate line through the attic. The Lindsay team never gave up. water was streaming down to the walls into the kitchen on the first floor. They never gave up. They found it and replace the broken condensate pipe (PVC)

They did a very reasonable job. They were very professional and did a great job.

This is third time in as many months I have needed plumbing help. I called Lindsay & Son all three times. In each case the work was done on a timely basis, and jobs well done. In addition to high-quality work, Lindsay & Son quickly return my calls and quickly dispatch one of their technicians to fix the problems. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of their work or the professionalism that all the technicians display. Thanks for all your good work.

Boiler replacement is a major expense, so I had several plumbing and heating firms come out over the summer and provide quotes and recommendations. Two plumbers came out and said that they'd get back with pricing but never did. Another firm (offering a special on Angies List) came out and gave a verbal quote but never followed up with a written quote. Of the three firms that did give me written quotes, Mark Lindsay offered the best pricing. Our neighbors had used him and gave a very high recommendation. We contracted with Lindsay who took a deposit and obtained all of the town permits. On the date of installation, all of the materials arrived (by separate trucking companies) and the plumbers arrived--all on time. They removed the old boiler and hot water heater. At one point they asked me for a mop because of water that leaked out onto the basement floor. I provided towels for them to clean it up which they did. (I'm surprised that plumbers wouldn't be equipped for this situation.) They spent the day installing the new Burnham boiler and indirect hot water heater, along with a direct vent system through the rear of my foundation. Their electrician came out later in the afternoon and finished the wiring for the 4 zone valves (3 zones plus 1 water heater). The finished installation looked great, with all copper piping and solder joints and about a half dozen ball valves. The electrician gave me instructions on setting the computer controlled circulator pump and heater thermostat. Installation of both indirect heater and furnace along with electrical was completed in 1 day. During the day, our water was only turned off for a very short time. Now cold weather is here and everything works great. No drips. No leaks. Town inspections for plumbing, fire and electrical were completed (total permit cost $237) and everything has passed. Lindsay's warranty is 1 year, but Heater and Boiler warranties are longer. (Competitor offered 2 year warranty with a free 1st year checkup. That may why Lindsay's price was a bit lower than competitor.) However, I am happy with the installation and quality of the boiler, and would use Lindsay again.

Our kitchen drain was repeatedly clogging because the drain pipe was too narrow, and was not mounted at the correct angle. This information was given to us by another plumber, who referred us to Mark Lindsay because he would be better equipped to do the job. Mark Lindsay came for an estimate the day after we called him, and confirmed the diagnosis. The workers arrived right on time on the day of the work. The drain runs through a crawl space about 2 feet high, requiring the plumber to crawl about 15 feet through cobwebs and dirt and quot;floorand quot; to get to the drain connection. They did the work without complaining, and cleaned up beautifully.

They were very pricey and they charged us $75 for just showing up. We will not call them again and they were here for three and a half hours. They did good work but, they were way to pricey. The pipes looked used. They did come out right away. We were just upset with thier pricing.

They are quick to respond and they have number of men working on the job so you don't have to wait around. If you have a problem, there is somebody there to solve it. They are very straight forward and their price is competitive.

I had a leaky pipe in the ceiling of my downstairs bi-level. When I went downstairs at 8:50 am my floor was covered with water, and the ceiling was leaking in my hallway, as well as the adjoining bathroom. I called another plumber (also on Angie's List) who I had used before and only got an answering machine. When I called Mark Lindsay and Son, I got a cordial woman on the phone, and told her my problem. I had also turned off the main water valve and she commended me for doing that. Within two hours, two technicians were at my house. Since I had a decorative wood ceiling, they said they would like to call in their carpenter to take the ceiling down so they would not ruin it, and made a call right then and there. The carpenter said he would be available the next morning first thing. The next morning at 8 am, both the carpenter and Mike from Mark Lindsay and Son were at my home to fix the problem. They used dropclothes and were both neat and clean, I can't tell that my ceiling was taken down and the copper pipe fixed. It was extremely comforting that a person answered the phone when you have water leaking out of your ceiling. Mike mentioned that since it is a family run business, someone is always on call for heating, plumbing, well and water problems. I am very happy that I discovered this company and will use them in the future.

A quality job done all round. New water softener is a quality product and performs far better than old unit ever did. Also they cleaned up some old useless plumbing in the area and provided me with an extra spigot for untreated water.

The technician who came was punctual, professional, and friendly. However, the price given for the installation was very high, much higher than expected by several hundreds of dollars. There was a and quot;diagnostic feeand quot; of $95.00 required as well, which would have been waived if we went ahead with the work. We also thought that was rather high. The installation would have cost well over $700 for connecting a Dishwasher, and propane Range. We decided to not go through with the work, and paid the diagnostic fee.

I have updated this review. To their considerable credit, Mark Lindsay and Son cared enough to get this right. They tried to call me, I tried to call them, and we missed communicating several times. It is a credit to both Angie's List and the company that the company tried again. I spoke with managment of the company and we got the situation resolved completely to my satisfaction. I will use these guys again, especially since they seem to be more responsive than some of the other plumbers in the area. They are the only plumbers in the area that I could find who are prepared to resolve issues after hours and on weekends. There is nothing worse than having a plubming emergency and having to wait a day to receive a response to a message left on an answering machine. Mark Lindsay has qualified plumbers ready to solve your plumbing issues.

I had an older system and they tested the water for me. The old system was working but I was filling it with salt constantly. They installed a new water softener system for me. I absolutely love the new system and I haven't had to add salt to it once. Mike and Tony did a top notch job. They were quick, cleaned up, and did things I didn't even ask them to. They walked me through any questions I had and how to operate the system. I was so pleased with everything and very happy with their company. I would recommend these folks to everybody. I live 50 miles from them and they still came out. I felt like my satisfaction was a real priority for them.

We called Mark Lindsay and Son for someone to come out and evaluate our concerns, problems we were having as we had just purchased our older home. A service person came out with a clip board taking notes and spending about 45 minutes- 1 hour listening and evaluating our plumbing concerns. He said he could be back early the next week. We agreed. In our main bathroom I explained our problem: blending of hot/cold water, loose-jiggly handles, etc. I told him I had a similar plumbing problem with another similar vintage home and suggested rebuilding the shower diverter. The response was he could'nt guarantee that it would solve the problem. He suggested a 1 toggle fixture on shower wall; costing approximately $1,100.00 I requested re-working existing fixture. He did and it seems to be working fine. In the kitchen, He brought along one fixture (it was the wrong one) ,we needed a single hole fixture for our sink. So his boss delivered another fixture that would fit our sink. ( I would have liked a choice on several fixtures as a option, we were told this is what they have). When he left our home I noticed the cold water line into the washing machine was leaking, and he had to be called back to tighten it. When the kitchen faucet replacement was finished and I tested it; there was'nt much water pressure- I explained that the pressure seemed alot less; after much resistance- he realized he had'nt turned the water pressure fully on in the house after the repair. Also, the water spray coil under the sink was not able to be pulled out, it was interferring/ banging into our water pipe supply for our refrigerator ice maker. The service persons reply was that was ok, We requested it be resolved; he then moved the copper pipe over quickly, causing it to leak- which he needed to reconnect. The next morning I woke up to check the main water shut off valve in the basement, it was leaking! A section of our carpeting got wet ( about 1 square foot)... We called the company and another service man came out to tighten up the valve. Overall, we felt that the service man did'nt take time to check any of his work. It seemed he was quick to move on to the next thing; minimalizing issues along the way. If we were'nt there to look everything over after it was completed we would have been in worse shape than when we first contacted this company. We won't be using them again.
