I originally contracted with "All State Van Lines", who then subbed it out to "Relo Van Lines" Contract #10299853-06 Terrible experience to find my $3,000.00 Mattress all stained from rain & scuffed & unusable. Screws, nuts & bolts lost, so that frame can not be re-installed. Brand new Patio furniture, taken apart, not put back together again, seems it has a 6 edge screw. All scuffed up, & scratched. Boxes broken Open. Shows that it is on Angie's List?

This was a horrible experience. We received quotes from 3 different moving companies and Relo had the best price for everything that was included. We packed everything except our china and oil paintings. The only way they would guarantee those would be if they packed it themselves. Our original quote was for $3700.00 and they requested half down as a deposit. About 5 days before they were supposed to show up to move us, another gentleman called to go through everything we were moving again. The gentleman then informed us that we were misquoted, it was below what was going to be needed and requested more money down. Our total deposit was $2754.00. Our new quote was $5000.00 instead of $3700.00. They were scheduled to arrive to move us on Monday Feb. 13th. They called us on that day and said that they would need to arrive on the 14th. We got the same call on the 14th stating that they would arrive on the 15th between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. We finally called them on the 15th around 5 p.m. asking where they were and they said it would be closer to 6 p.m. They eventually showed up at 7:30 p.m. They worked until 1:00 a.m. and came back to finish packing and loading the truck on Thursday the 16th. They arrived in TX on Saturday February 18th and delivered our stuff on Sunday the 19th. Before delivering our belongings, we received a call stating that they would need over $5000.00 additional because our things weighed more than they thought it would and it was going to cost close to $8000.00 total for the move. We were only expecting to pay roughly $2300.00 additional upon their arrival but they said if we didn't pay them the full additional $5000+ that they wouldn't deliver our belongings. We had to pay the additional money because they had us backed into a corner, holding our things hostage until they received full payment. The individuals who drove our truck and unloaded our belongings were great. It was the office staff that was misleading and deceptive.
