Beltmann Group - North American Van Lines

They did a good job and everything was on time. They were very prompt. They didn't break any of my items during transportation.

We selected Beltmann after having 6 estimates for our move. I have to say that their salesman gave a good performance when he carefully measured out 80 inch TV and promised a special crate would be fabricated for it. He also advised us that moving a gun safe from our garage would be no problem. I packed all household goods and small pieces myself. Beltmann arrived on time on the day they were scheduled. The driver had "hired" a crew of three men who were kind and courteous. They worked extremely hard and after 11 hours had disassembled, wrapped and packed our big furniture and household items. The large TV crate was never provided and the driver packed the large TV himself...in old card board and newsprint paper and advised me that there was no "special" box for it when he got to their warehouse. I then attempted to contact the salesman but could only leave him a message. I did eventually get told I would get a refund for the box ($250) but to date have not received anything. The unload happened 10 days later when the driver arrived at our home with two workers. When I questioned the driver about only having two workers he said that that was all he was getting. I was livid...it took 3 men 11 hours to load our belongings, now with two men it was going to be a ridiculously long day, plus the safe that weighed about 1000 lbs. One worker was experienced, the other told us that this was the first time he had worked - at any job - in two years and he was obviously in no condition to do this type of work in 110 degree heat. The day progressed until it was time to bring the safe into our home. While I was inside the house, they pushed the safe into our garage and refused to move it into the house and made excuses as to why they would not move it where it belonged. The driver then used profanity with my husband and shoved him. At this point the workers - who had called a tow truck driver friend to come help- then walked off the job, saying their "dispatcher" told them they were done for the day. We had two TVs that were not uncrated, mattresses left on the floors and many pieces of furniture that needed to be reassembled. I have spent the last three months trying to get somewhere with their staff from clerical to management. I have nothing good to say about anyone in this company. I have addressed this with NAVL, SIRVA and Beltmann directly. My complaint with the BBB was never addressed until it reached management level.
