George’s Appliance , came out accessed the situation . Diagnosed and ordered parts for me . They came in with a week or so and were back to repair the washer. Best prices I’ve seen in a while , honest , respectful technician.

This was my first time using Georges Appliance Service and I couldn't be happier. They were at my house and had my microwave repaired within 24 hours of my initial call. The technician was very personable and professional and was a pleasure to deal with. The next time I need an appliance repaired, my first call will be to these guys. Top notch all the way around.

Service person was on time, friendly and professional. He investigated carefully and ultimately recommended replacement over repair. Since they stood to make more money on the repair I appreciated the advice to consider other possibilities. This makes it more likely we'd call them in the future for appliance repair.

Bob was terrific. He was not able to re-produce the problem so he left our dryer as-is after cleaning out the bottom a bit. He tested it for well over 30 minutes to make sure it was still working, stayed for extra time, and answered all of our questions. We could not be happier.

We're relatively new to the area and they are Jenn-Aire warranty providers. This is our first appliance repair work we've needed because the house and appliances are only 2-3 years old. But our dishwasher was leaking, so Jenn-aire gave us their number as a warranty servicer in our area. When I called, I was told it would be $65 to diagnose the problem and then the technician would tell me how much it would be to fix it and how much parts/labor would be based on if the particular parts were still covered by the limited warranty on my 2 year old unit. The technician came and pulled the dishwasher out. 10 minutes later, he found the problem; it was a hose that had gotten loose/fallen off because of the cheap one time clamp that Jenn-aire puts on the units. So, he zipped tied it and now it doesn't leak. So, I think great, $65 fix. NOPE! He charged me an extra $60 labor for putting one zip tie on that costs a nickel at Lowe's and didn't bother to tell me he was going to be charging me more until he writes up the bill. So instead of $65, the bill is $135 including the tax. I asked him about the $60 labor charge and he said, that's how we do it. If he told me he was going to charge me $60 for reconnecting a hose with a zip tie, I would have told him not to do it.. But it was already done and I wasn't going to have him pull out the dishwasher to remove the zip tie. I don't plan on using them again. I assume that if I had them come and diagnose something that wasn't working and found it was just unplugged, then they would try and charge $60 labor for plugging it back in. Jenn-aire gave me three possible contacts for the warranty diagnosis. I regret not going with one of the other two. I'm just lucky this was a simple fix and not something major. F for Overall F for Price D for Quality (for $60 at least put in a hose clamp instead of a zip tie) B for Responsiveness (They came when they said and the lady in the office did try to help me check some stuff on the phone) B for Punctuality (3 hour appt window and they came inside it. Tighter window and/or call/text on the way would be an "A") F for Professionalism (padding your bill, not introducing yourself and not offering to take off your shoes or use booties)

Called on Monday morning and was seen for repair the following morning. The serviceman was prompt and courteous and able to fix the dryer. Would definitely call Georges Appliance Service again if needed.

They needed to order parts, and was able to show up the following Tuesday. They showed up on time and quickly fixed the problem. Would definitely use again!

A great experience; the service man was polite and extremely knowledgeable. He also looked at the clothes washer; both appliances are 20+ years old. He advised we continue to use both appliances and anticipate replacing them, as the repairs would b too costly. We appreciate his honesty. He also looked at the ice maker on our Subzero ans will call with an estimate to replace it; and he took care of a loose burner on the Thermador stove; all for the price of a service call. Called and spoke to someone about the problem, he was very professional and courteous. He looked up our model and ordered some parts anticipating what the problem may be and scheduled an appointment. They were able to send someone within 2 days. The tech (Joe?) came at scheduled time and was extremely professional and friendly. He had the part needed and replaced it quickly. He checked to make sure it was working properly. I would definitely use them again. The entire experience was great from start to finish. Price was fair and competitive and work performed was great. They were friendly and professional and did the job quickly.

It went very well. They came when they said they would. The technician was very knowledgeable, diagnosed the issue quickly, had parts in his truck and the fridge is working fine ever since.

While the first time I tried to call I got a busy signal for a while, when I finally did get a hold of them they were awesome and fit me in for the next day. The service professional explained the problem and fixed it. They also alerted me to a recalled part by Bosch that they replaced for me free of charge (i.e. on Bosch's dime) -- they were honest enough to tell me that should I NOT want the part replaced that I could opt for a discount on a new dishwasher (on which they would make no money). I opted to have the part replaced. All in all, a terrific experience.

I called on Friday and they came in on Monday. Punctual, had the part with him, total cost me 220 (60 labor, 69 trip to my house, 69 the part and tax)- or something like that.

Once the repair person showed up, everything was fine. He was honest, fair, and professional, and walked me through the possible issues with the range. He even gave me some tips for turning on each burner to help the longevity (this is an ancient range) and advised me on how to clean them properly. When the burner in question was still erratic, he stuck with it and tried some alternative solutions to help. One of them worked, and I appreciated his diligence. However: scheduling this appointment was stressful and the business could have easily made it less so. I originally had an appointment for 'the afternoon' (after 1:00pm). When 3:00pm rolled around, I checked in--I realize that times are approximate, but perhaps there was a general sense of when he would arrive. The woman I spoke with didn't know, which is fine. But then 5:00pm arrived, which is when the business closes--so I called again. The same woman answered and refused to give me any information. I told her that my appointment was scheduled for "the afternoon," and she responded that "5:00pm is the afternoon." This seemed unnecessarily rude (and just incorrect). Finally she asked me to hold and when she returned told me that the technician was 30-45min away. Which means she could have checked in at any time and given me this information. In the end, he showed up at 6:00pm. I want to stress something here: I completely understand that times are approximate and that sometimes schedules lag. But I wish I had been informed of the status of my appointment, particularly when I asked. I stayed home from work, moved appointments around, and made sure I was home in the afternoon. But then I had to scramble in the evening instead. I would expect that kind of treatment from a faceless cable corporation. Not from a small local business. The bottom line: good service, but not worth the stress of making an appointment. When we install a new range, we will use a different company.

We've used George's Appliance Repair several times over the years. They are very reliable, very punctual and very knowledgeable. For this service call, they advised on not performing any repair due to the age of the appliance and the cost of the repair Vs. purchase of new appliance.They informed me Bosch had exited the washer dryer appliance business several years ago and this is why the parts were hard to find and very expensive. The service call was worth the price paid.

I have always called this company for years because they always were courteous, honest and do a fantastic job. I call Eleanor first (I always look for her) and she tells me that there are certain Viking models that were recalled and that I might not have to spend money and that Viking is willing to fix the fridge. I checked and it was not part of the recall. So I told her about the top refrigerator fan leaking and the bottom freezer leaking as well. Upon consultation with a company repair man, she said I would need a refrigerator gasket. This saved me the cost of having someone come, check out the fridge, and then pay someone again to install the gasket. Anyway, as soon as the Viking gasket part arrived, James the repair man came. He is very courteous. He installed the gasket and fixed the leak. He told me what to do to avoid having the same problems in the future. My refrigerator is working perfectly now!

We had used this service before for a cranky stove, and always found the call staff and techs to be knowledgeable and professional. This time around it was our 13-year-old refrigerator. Two parts to the story. First, after the unit stopped cooling a few times, and my husband managed short-term fixes, he knew the only real fix would be a new compressor -- big bucks, and he didn't have the expertise to do it himself. We called George's Appliance Service and explained the problem, as well as our willingness to bear the expense -- because this fridge fits uniquely well in our tiny kitchen, and we knew an exact replacement is no longer made. To our dismay, the tech at George's said they wouldn't do such an expensive job on such an old fridge, particularly because manufacturers no longer give decent warranties on parts. We didn't like this answer, but we really appreciate their honesty, and consideration for the customer's ultimate well-being. It probably would have been really irresponsible to take on this job. Part 2: We bought a new fridge, it was delivered and old one carted away. I was anxious to get the food out of the packed ice chests and borrowed dorm fridge. The motor hummed reassuringly -- but as the hours went by, the inside temperature held steady at a toasty 78 degrees. Panic ensued. Calls to the manufacturer. Calls to the appliance store who sold it to us. By late afternoon, we were told we'd be contacted the next day to arrange service. Amazingly, at 8 a.m. the next morning I received a phone call from -- Jack at George's Appliance Service! Not only did he somehow manage to schedule a service call for that afternoon, but about 15 minutes later, called again to say the tech was in my neighborhood and would be there in 2 minutes! The problem was simple -- the plug to (of course) the compressor wasn't plugged in. Blessedly easy fix -- but I could have waited days for it if these people hadn't been so responsive.
