custom cabinets
 + -1 moreDespite receiving 75% of the budget from the general contractors, European Cabinetry delivered on 25% of the cabinets. To make matters worse, the quality was appalling. Even the simplest features were poorly executed. Handles weren't installed properly. The lacquer finish was not applied on a clean surface. The doors warped within weeks of installation. Worse still, the cabinetmaker tried to extort an additional $5000 from us to deliver some of the remaining cabinets that were in various stages of completion. And what he did deliver wasn't on time. So now we're out a substantial amount of money and have to find a replacement cabinetmaker to build what we've already mostly paid for.
Description of Work: This company was hired by our general contractor to build cabinets throughout our Manhattan loft. This included the kitchen, bathrooms, dining area, living room, guest room, and bedroom. Some of the cabinets were to have a lacquer finish and others a polyurethane finish.

 + -1 moreANYTIME I CRITICIZED HIM FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T LIKE HE ARGUED ABOUT IT. HE TOOK OFF FOR TWO WEEKS UNEXPECTEDLY IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS JOB. HE SAID FOR ONLY ONE WEEK. I HAD TO FIRE HIM AND I AM SITTING WITH THE KITCHEN NOT DONE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM.
Description of Work: THEY PUT NEW CABINETS IN MY KITCHEN.
