Description of Work: Domenick Malanga did a spectacular job with our kitchen, laundry room and dining room. We are having MC Home Improvements do the outside of our home. We are more than satisfied with this provider.

Description of Work: MC Property Mgmt was hired to complete a master bathroom remodel. Domenick, one of the company proprietors was always jovial, and his workers who did 90% of the work were very pleasant. However, Domenick did not take responsibility for the sub-contractors whom he hired. They scratched expensive Italian marble countertops by cutting mirrors on installed counter tops. They were sloppy with the installation of the mirrors and didn't cut the trim properly. Dominick then said he couldn't be responsible because he didn't do mirror work. The truth is that early on I asked if I needed to get someone to install mirrors, and he said he would take care of it...that we shouldn't have to worry about anything. Because of repeated calls, Domenick worked with the sub-contractor to attempt to repair the damage, which never looked as it did when counter tops were initially installed. Scratches, while not as deep as when damage was done, can still be seen. Second, there was leakage from the shower area. Twice, Domenick sent one of his workers to repair the leak. The MC Property Mgmt team merely put a band aid on the situation. So, in a week, the leak resurfaced. Then it took between three-and-four weeks to send someone to try to repair it the second time. Still that was a band aid, as as once again, the leak slowly reappeared. We then sent emails and certified letters, asking Domenick to rectify the situation. We never heard from him again. We had to pay additional money to have another contractor repair the damage so that our shower could be used without damage to the floor, baseboard and wall. Aesthetically, taking a step back, MC's work looks good (much of that is the client's material selection). But, a close examination shows significant flaws that we now live with every day. Not taking responsibility and not guaranteeing work, as initially agreed upon, demonstrates poor business acumen. We would neither use MC's services again nor recommend them.

Description of Work: Bathroom was remodeled and oak floors were refinished. Both came out very nice and were completed in a timely manner.

Description of Work: Remodeling of living area, including kitchen, hardwood floors & ceilings. They were absolutely awesome contractors, not one complaint from us. I can't wait to work with them in the spring on our next project.

Description of Work: Hired to remodel 2 bathrooms. First bathroom is nearing completion. Work crew was here every day, within 15 minutes of expected start times. A partner is assigned to the job, and he stays with the job to satisfactory completion. He becomes the single point of contact for all issues. To date we have had only a few minor issues with a few wall tiles shifting over night and causing uneven grout lines. The problem was immediately corrected the next morning to our complete satisfaction. MC Improvements was not among the lowest bidders, however their work ethic, energy, experience, use of their own employees, references, and most realistic time estimate sold us. They protect the floors and install plastic barriers to keep dust from rest of house. They also clean up at the end of each work day.
