Until the last 3-4months all was fine. But over the last 3-4month multiple missed pickups. I’ve been on the phone with them ever 2-3weeks during this span to resolve the issues. In addition I scheduled a bulk pickup am told it will be picked up on a Monday only to have Monday come and go and mattress is still in front lawn. When I call I’m told Monday is not the bulk pickup day. They acknowledge I was told Monday but that was wrong and I shouldn’t have been told that. All I get is a sorry. Then yard waste is not picked up. I get yet another sorry and they pick it up the next day. Two weeks later they miss my yard waste pickup again. I call only for them to tell me I’m every other week, yet two weeks earlier they confirmed I’m every week. Considering what I pay I KNOW for a fact my pickup is every week. During this time recycling was missed once and another time they only emptied half the container. Republic Services is severely OVER PRICED compared to the quotes I just received. People on phone are pleasant but only say sorry and reschedule your service. Not once during this time was i offered an count credit for my inconvenience. It wasn’t until I called to cancel that they offered to lower rates and credit account. They do not care about their customers.

We moved into the community and used this company since the owners of the home we were buying were using it at the time. We were invoiced for weekly trash and recycling pick up and EVERY OTHER WEEK, we had to call because they skipped our recycling. We were given the runaround each time until this last time they stated they would only pick up every other week. The customer service reps were rude and extremely unprofessional. I just cancelled my service with this company and would definitely not recommend.

Terrible service. This is for Republic Services garbage collection in the Wayne PA area. $66 fee just to drop off two containers. About a 100/month for collection and in our first month, we had to call 3/4 weeks because they skipped us. They pick up twice a week and would miss BOTH days. I paid 187.75 to have our trash picked up in August and September maybe four times total. They have terrible reviews online and I should have heeded those. AJ Blosenski is used by most people, has good reviews, and I see the truck regularly. Should have started with them.

Horrible..... Solid waste container was damaged and after more than 10 requests it was finally picked up over 1 week ago and after 4 more phone calls with different agents NO ONE KNOWS HOW OR WHEN TO GET ME A NEW CONTAINER

Terrible. This was our trash hauler for 23 years starting when it was BFI and even someone before that. No issues till it became Republic. We had signed a contract for approximately $99/quarter for three years. Over time, our bill crept up and up and up, and they also stopped picking up one weekly bulk item for free and cut some other services. When it hit $200/quarter, I suddenly remembered we were supposed to have a locked-in rate. I pulled out the contract and called them about it. I spoke to the manager of the King of Prussia facility and he said yes, we were in fact overcharged and due a refund of $500+. But he said it had to go through corporate and we wouldn't get it for a couple of months. I thought that was a bit odd, but whatever. When the time came and no check arrived, I called back. Suddenly our $500 refund was down to a $34 refund!! Why? Because all those extra charges were "fees" not covered on the contract and so we "weren't overcharged." They said it was a poorly written contract. I said that wasn't my problem. They still refused to honor the $500 and offered to let us out of the contract at the end of the next quarter. The manager said point-blank that it wasn't worth their profit to keep our business even though we'd been customers for 23 years. That did it. I took to Twitter and Facebook and blasted them repeatedly over the hidden fees, and the national corporate office saw it and responded. Ultimately the local office did let us out of our contract then and there, and we canceled the service and went with Waste Management. So far we're happy with them--very reasonably priced, they pick up the trash, and in fact they accept far more plastic recycle numbers than Republic did.

Terribly. Keslar said the refund would come around late September or early October. When it didn't come by October 15, I called back and was told these things take 60 days. (Imagine if we didn't pay our bill for 60 days!). He called us two days ago and said he "went over it together with his financial manager who has to get involved in such big refunds," and the "contract was written poorly" and includes unnamed "fees." Thus we are only getting back a $34 refund--total, not per month. At the very least, we are owed $363 for being overcharged on a $134/month contract. If you add in the interest for the period that we would have been charged had we not paid our bills in a timely manner, that total goes up to $493.
Description of Work: Republic Services trash haulers has overcharged us on a signed contract for more than two years. When our former agreement was almost up in 2014, their representatives rang the bell and gave a very high-pressure sales pitch to renew on the spot. I figured we had to have someone pick up the trash and they were ok otherwise so I signed a new 3-year contract. I later noticed that every quarter our bill was going up and the services we were receiving were going down. I pulled out our contract and discovered they had been overcharging us by $40 to $60 per month for two years. I called the King of Prussia office, which is our local provider and the manager, Brian Keslar, promised us a refund $546 on August 15. (Separately, they also charged us to give us another trash can when the wheel came off their can, and now a wheel is coming off the second can they provided. The receptionist said they get lots of complaints about that.)

I was not satisfied with my service. There were two separate occasions that they did not pick my trash up but I paid for a full year of service. The two times they missed were not holidays and I had my bin out the night prior. So when my year came up I decided not to continue with them. They require a phone call to cancel which I waited ten minutes on hold. The representative was unprofessional and mumbling her words so that is when I decided not to continue even if they could price match. Then it costs $10 removal fee for them to come pick up their own trash bin. I will never go with this company again. Terrible overall service.
Description of Work: I paid for a full year from this provider and like many other providers they increased my rates forcing me to call and cancel.

The last review I wrote, when this company was still known as Allied in my area, noted the quarterly price as $115. They add on a couple of dollars every quarter, not enough to bother with if you are busy until, whoa, you realize it has gone up significantly. Last time I had this realization I called to cancel and they reduced my bill. Last week I received paperwork or a three-year service agreement to be billed at $139.50 a quarter, a steep increase from what I pay now. Furthermore, they reserved the right to increase it 8% a year after the first year, this at a time of historically low gas prices. I asked if I did not sign it, would they stop picking up my trash and they said no. I asked around and found out a friend of mine who lives out in the country pays $75 a quarter. I called Allied/Republic and they said that was the senior discount rate. I said that I was 67 and I could get by with once a week. They did not ask for any verification that I am a senior citizen which is how my friend evidently got the $75 rate despite being 10 years younger than I. The once a week regular price was $87 a quarter and the twice a week Senior rate was $82.50 a quarter, $42 less than I paid in May 2015. At no time did anyone mention the Service Agreement or the $139.50 price per quarter. All of which is by way of a warning to keep on top of their billing because there is absolutely no rhyme nor reason to it. If they start inching it up with 'administrative costs' and 'fuel recovery costs' and whatever else they dream up, call right then and there and complain or switch to another trash hauler.
Description of Work: Picks up trash twice a week and recycling once a week for $124.50 a quarter.

They were really good and excellent. We've worked with them before and they were very reputable. Their price was reasonable and once they work with you they gave their coupons and stuff. It depends on the size of the dumpster and we have a huge one. They really work with you and there were good people. They get back and they were very reasonable if you needed for like extra time. It's kind of an informal arrangement but it works for them and for us so it's great.

I cannot recall a worse customer service experience!! We had called to request a few pieces of furniture to be picked up. The rep said no problem. Monday came and we only had one oversized chair left. The others were taken by Impact. The truck came and took our trash but not the chair. I called to find out why they didn't pick it up..."so sorry...we'll pick it up on Thurs." Thurs comes and once again they didn't take it. I called again and was told that things happen beyond their control and that they will pick it up next time. I asked them to guarantee that it will be picked up and once again the rep said they can't control what happens. I said that's ridiculous! I then asked to speak to a manager and was told that she will send an email to the manager with my phone number so that he could call me. NO CALL ever came. Over the weekend we decided to cancel our service but still put the chair out. I actually watched the truck come this morning and for the third time drive away without the chair!! I cannot believe how little this company cares about their customers. Our neighbors and we are incredulous!

It's $85 a quarter. They are okay. They do their job. I had a problem with them once and it was a little pulling teeth to get it rectified, but then finally they did take care of it. I can't really find another trash carrier service in this area. They are supposed to come on Tuesday and they come on Tuesday.

We are actually still customers of Republic Services ... but only until our contract with them expires. Beware!! You will be offered a price that beats your current garbage company, but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! We have had continued issues with our items not being picked up. Usually the response is "they didn't finish the route, so just leave it out". They've always picked up the next day after I send notification, but it's still annoying to not really have a "regular" day for garbage/recycle/or yard waste pick up. They also told us we could cancel our yard waste pick up in the winter (which is an ADDITIONAL charge each month), but then went back on it. We had to fight to get them to stick to their original promise.

Awful. This company did not pick up my yard waste on numerous occasions. When called, they promised to come out the next day. On numerous occasions, they did not keep this promise and never fulfilled the service. An awful company!
