Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. The overall price may have been higher than the competitors; this is because you requested us to provide an estimate for asbestos removal in ADDITION to the mold removal. Our mold removal prices come with a low price guarantee; but that's only if the other company is also properly licensed, certified, and insured. There are some companies that may offer lower prices, however, chances are that there "certified" through a non industry recognized organization or through another mold company. In NJ and PA, any company can say they are "certified". But if you ask them who they are certified by; most will tell you they paid $250 for a one day course to get certified (if they tell you the truth). Anyone who has a legitimate training and certification will be certified by one or more of the following 3 organizations. 1) IICRC, 2) IAQA, 3) AMIAQC. The other problem with some mold companies is that when they tell you that they are "insured". The insurance they are talking about is commercial general liability, which is the same insurance ANY business must even, even a pizza restaurant. Anyone who is properly trained in mold removal, MUST ALSO have contractors pollution liability, professional liability, AND workers compensation insurance. These insurances can be very expensive and this is why only 10 percent of the companies out there have them. Without these insurances, you are taking a HUGE risk with these so-called "insured" companies. If they don't have workers compensation insurance and they get hurt FOR ANY REASON, in your HOME; believe it or not, YOU, THE HOMEOWNER can be sued. So make sure you properly check credentials when qualifying a mold contractor or any other service provider. To reiterate, we do have a low price guarantee on our all of our mold services; however, the other company must be proposing the same work, and they MUST be similarly certified, licensed, and insured.
