Experience was just fine. Owner came out and surveyed on a Saturday. A few weeks later, two foreign guys on his team came out and just did it in a few hours one afternoon. Work was done well - no issues w/ it after almost a month. Seemed like it was a simple job, so the price, at first, felt a tad high. I suppose because they knew what they were doing, and made it seem easy and quick, didn't hurt that notion. In hind sight, it's probably worth it to pay a little more for something done right. If I had to make any complaint (and it would fall into the category of a minor annoyance and not really as an issue), it would be the timing. I ended up having to wait a few weeks to get squeezed in between the bigger industrial jobs. This was not awful. The owner was up front with me about this and was never out of communication and always set the expectations appropriately. In summary.. good experience. Would definitely use again, but only if I could live with not getting it done immediately.
Description of Work: They replaced a short (under 10 yards) underground pvc pipe line run, that received the water outflow from a gutter downspout. The old one has filled up with debris and under inspection, I realized the old one was junk and did not allow for easy clean out. The work they did, included digging out of the old line, putting in the new line (shallow depth), adding an access cap at the end of the line and connecting it firmly to the downspout output. They thoughtfully included a downward facing Y bracket at the connection point to allow for an easy rinse out of the with a power washer.

The estimate was prompt and digital, and they did a great job updating it when I wanted to make changes. I had no idea how much to expect it to cost so when it was more than I was prepared to pay, they worked with us to schedule a time when we had the money ready. The team that came out and did the work did an excellent job. They removed the grass in a way that they could replace it so I don't even need to seed. I can barely tell where they disturbed the dirt in other places. They removed all the debris too. The drainage issue was resolved with river rock and a catch basin and looks beautiful. I would absolutely have Lisk out again to do more work.
Description of Work: We recently bought a house where the gutters all drained into these black tubes that sat on top of the lawn. They were always in the way when mowing, the grass died beneath them, kids tripped on them, general nuisance. We had Lisk come out and give us an estimate to install underground drainage for the downspouts and help with some drainage issues we had where water pooled next to our garage.

The above date and price is only the most recent service I have had by Lisk Landscape. I've been using them for over a year because I'm trying to sell my house, and I don't have the time to have another company come out, give an estimate, etc.. Lisk Landscape sucks. Bottom line. I only give an A in responsiveness because I always have to email their one employee almost every time I have a service. He always writes back immediately and apologizes, but I shouldn't have to deal with him each and every time. The company actually started out really well. I have a small backyard, and a fungus destroyed all the grass. My fiance and I called Lisk because we saw an ad for them in a magazine, and they were local. They came out and gave an estimate for sod. The work was completed quickly and professionally. It looked great. My fiance and I both work shift work while attending school, so in the spring/summer, we didn't get a lot of time to weed our front yard. I then asked Lisk to set up a bi-weekly schedule of weeding our front yard and mowing our backyard. There has not been any consistency. They will mow the back, and not weed the front or vice versa. One time, I was home and heard them mowing the backyard. After they left, I went out front to find weeds everywhere. I immediately called, and was told, "Oh, yeah...they went down the street to work on someone else's house. They will be back today to weed." Why didn't they just do everything at once? They had no intent on weeding until I called. HOWEVER, whenever I get my bill, the services NOT completed are still charged to me. I can't tell you how many times my bill has been wrong. Then, I went on vacation and during that trip, I was scheduled to have a weeding done in my front yard. When I came back, I had weeds the size of small trees. The next day, I received a bill for the service! I emailed them, and said there was NO way the weeding was done when I was gone because the same weeds are still there! Did they think I wouldn't notice? At this point, they should know that I monitor everything they do because I don't trust them. I shouldn't have to babysit a company - I'm the customer. Another issue I had was, I wanted to get fertilization treatments after we got the sod in our backyard so I wouldn't have to worry about another problem occurring. We're trying to sell our house, so I don't want my lawn to be another issue I have to worry about when presenting the house. In spring, I asked about treatments. I was told, "I'll get back to you. It's too early in the season." Then a few months later, the same thing. "I'll get back to you." It's now August, and we never had ANY treatments. Our entire backyard of grass is ALL weeds. It looks horrible. I eventually got so fed up with everything, including the billing issues (after being told they have a new billing person, and that's why it was always wrong), that I threatened to leave their company. The guy that I would always email when the services were done wrong or not at all emailed me back, and kept apologizing. I told him I work in management, and I'm the last person to complain to a company - but this was getting ridiculous. He said he cared about his customers, and he even printed out my email to post in his office so he could have a daily reminder of how he should treat his customers. He reassured me from now on, things were going to change. He even had his guys trim my bushes for free as a "special gift" to me. Well, his promises didn't last long. Today is the reason why I have finally decided to submit a report about Lisk Landscape. Last night, I scheduled a mowing and a weeding of my backyard and trimming of four bushes I have in my backyard. They mowed and weeded the backyard - no issue. They did NOT trim the bushes in my backyard...they trimmed two bushes I have in my front yard - that didn't even need trimming! So NOW how is my bill supposed to be adjusted? I'm so fed up, that after writing this report, I think I'm going to finally end it with this company. Unless you want to babysit them every time they are to perform a service on your property, avoid Lisk Landscape!

This is our First & ONLY bad review on the internet. Let me start by saying this is incident from back 3 years ago & no communication was ever w/ the owner Stephen Lisk. Communication was always w/ Justin, who is no longer with the company. Mrs. Dalton [removed member name] states that services started great & eventually slipped up. We aren't perfect & things do happen. Not to mention, this was the year Mr. Lisk had surgery & was out of commission for quite some time. At the end of the day, we understand Mrs. [removed member name] wasn't happy w/ our services however, there's no reason to leave a bad review over a few simple problems that could have been resolved over the phone or in person. We would have done anything to help rectify the isuue & felt Mrs. [removed member name] did not handle this situation in a professional manner.
