inchI have had a gravel driveway for many years. Its not a long drive but its wide enough to park 5 cars. I had gotten several estimates over the years but I was not impressed with the professionalism of the other contractors.. Most would eyeball the size of the driveway and come up with a number without a written estimate Douglas, the owner of East and West Shore Paving came to me and actually took out a tape measure and pad and took detailed measurements of my driveway... He listen to to what I wanted to do and offered suggestions that were very helpful. He worked with me as far as deposit and monthly payments. He worked around my schedule and arrived on time with a full crew and equipment. The job was done quickly, with an attention to detail and quality of workmanship. He even offered to follow up with me in a year or so to apply a sealer topcoat after the driveway had a chance to fully cure. For driveway work I highly recomend this company

I wouldn't recommend this man or his company to my worse enemy! Didn't show up when he said he would, showed up when he felt like it, never worked for more than 2 hours at a time, left his broken-down machinary in the middle of my driveway and disappeared for days without a word or even asking permission. A three to four day job took 4 weeks to get partially done, but was actually never completed because we fired him. He constantly tried to substitute cheaper materials, debating with us over things that were very clearly written into the signed contract. Refused to continue until we gave him more money (which went against the contract) because he didn't have the money for materials. When we pointed out that balance was due on completion, he said it was "his secretary's mistake" and he "never works that way"...as I said, we fired him and had another contractor complete the job, which went quite painlessly and was very well done {Tri-County Paving}. As a note: I actually feel very bad for his crew, which was a nice group of guys - but they're tearing their hair out over this guy too.
Description of Work: Doug Lessig, the company owner, was contracted to rip out my old driveway, remove debris, dig two drainage ditches and re-pave.
