Poor quality work. System performed poorly immediately after annual system system start up and maintenance >$300. Blamed poor system performance on poor water quality when in fact we had a new well pump installed after the old one failed after 11 years of use. Wanted to replace heads (after only one use!) at my expense. Dowd refused to accept responsibility. Nickel and dimed for every little thing. No thanks. Got to be a better alternative out there. Unpleasant, unreliable and unprofessional.

I chose to hold off on the work. They were responsive. They were professional and gave me the estimate relatively quickly and given me information so I was pretty pleased with the estimate that they gave me but it just wasn’t right at the time. My interaction with them was very good.

The install was flawless. Dowd Irrigation & Landscaping filed all permits and handled every aspect of the installation in a professional manner. I liked Pat's attention to detail in how he drafted up a game plan during his estimate and made valuable recommendations to compliment his work. Pat is a true professional who takes his work and every project very seriously. After the system was installed, Pat provided a tutorial and reviewed watering guidelines and recommendations and followed up as necessary if I had any questions. The system worked hard all summer long and kept our grass green. The placement of the sprinkler heads was perfect. The team took into account the coverage area and did not miss any corners or tight places. We are more than happy with our investment in a sprinkler system, and we cannot thank Pat enough for helping us protect our landscaping through a well thought out irrigation plan.

Pat and his team did an excellent job. Pat worked alongside his crew the whole time. He used quality materials which should ensure long life. So far so good. Only item is that although he applied for the permit, I have to waste a work day to go pay for it since municipal services have inconvenient hours to serve the working public.

Kudos for coming over on Memorial Day weekend although there was no rush. BUT estimate was 30% higher than next highest bid. He didn't count zones or sprinkler heads of existing system, seemed to pull a number out of thin air. Spent a lot of time telling me how many neighbor's systems he's done and how long he's been in business. I told him I found him on Angie's list, didn't offer me Angie's list discount advertised here. I use Angie's list so I don't get ripped off, shame on you Pat Dowd.

I contacted Dowd to winterize my sprinkler system and they were at my house performing the job in less than an hour. To order a pizza would have taken me longer. Very professional, very quick. Pat answered all my questions without being annoyed. Highly recommended!

Pat was amazing. I sued him because of reviews on Angie's List and they were spot on. Pat went above and beyond and tried desperately to get the existing sprinkler system up and running. The old system was here when I bought the house and I had never used it and did not know whether it could be salvaged. Pat tried desperately on numerous occasions to get it working and only installed the new one after many attempts at repairing the old one. When he could not get the old one up and running (as it turned out due to extensive construction damage), he put in there new one and never charged me for all the previous visits he made trying to fix the old one. He is honest and generous and punctual and when I get my from yard landscaped I will have him back to do that too.

They've left me with a couple hundred dollars worth of damages.

The service was really good. They were prompt and they installed the lights really well. I don't think the deal itself was really great for what I bought. I did not pay anything above the $1199 of the big deal. They were very good at what they did, but I just think the deal should have been better. I was not happy with the price.

They were reasonable. They were on time. I would recommend them. I use a guy for 20 years and these guys were 40% cheaper.

It was good. They called within a day or 2. We set up an appointment and they came in and gave me an estimate. The estimate was a little bit more than I was looking for at the time.

We recently moved into a house and knew little about our irrigation system. Dowd Irrigation came out promptly to inspect our irrigations system and give me an overview of its operation so that we are more knowledgeable next spring when we turn the system on again. Our system was winterized also. I was very pleased with the service I received, particularly the speed in which they made an appointment to come out to the house despite it being in the busy season of irrigation closings.

Mr. Dowd is very knowledgeable and professional, I highly recommend his service. As a result, he is very busy in spring and fall.

My old sprinkler service was getting too expensive, and I didn't want to be tied to a contract any longer, so I went searching for a new company. When I first called Dowd Irrigation, the owner explained his pricing, and asked about my sprinkler system. He asked for all the details before he worked, and informed me that there was no contract involved, and that I could cancel his service at any time. He was extremely helpful-I'm not very familiar with our system, so before the spring service, he actually emailed me photos of what needed to be turned on and how to do it. When he first arrived, he walked me around the property and recommended what should be replaced. In the past, I've had problems with the water pressure in our sprinkler system, but he was able to not only show me which ones were leaking, but also repaired them at a very reasonable cost. I have nothing but good things to say about this company; they always return calls, the prices were fair, and the workers were always on time.I would definitely recommend Dowd Irrigation.
