He did a great job. The room looked fantastic. He worked really hard with few breaks the whole time he was there. He was very friendly and professional. He came with his truck full of all his tools and cleaned up before he left. Frienly guy.

I purchased the Angie's List deal of four hours of Handyman's services for $99. It took a while to schedule, firstly, because it was mainly outdoor work, and when we couldn't find a date in the fall, I waited until the spring.After that, the company was very unresponsive when I tried to arrange an appointment. At one point, I offered a three week window when he could pick his four hours and didn't hear from him. I thought someone would come by ahead of time to discuss what I was looking for, maybe give me an idea of what the time frame would be for the various tasks. But I was only asked for a description of the jobs over the phone. On the scheduled morning, the company still wasn't sure what I was asking or even if they needed a ladder. (They eventually borrowed mine). The concrete patching started cracking within days of the job. I called the company about this, but they didn't get back to me. The carpentry work was sufficient, but the work didn't allow my door to close. The workers were in their truck and about to leave when I noticed this. They didn't bother to cleanup the sawdust. I don't know why Finished Edge wants to be on Angie's List, much less offer special deals, when the follow up with such mediacre work.

It went fine, but when I asked them about replacing a thermostat, he thought his guy could do it. However, the guy messed it up and I had to find someone else to fix it. Everything else was really good. The workers were also courteous, clean, and arrived on time. I would use them again.

I purchased a coupon through Angie's List to have a few repairs done to a home a recently purchased. One of the repairs was to fix brick work on my front steps. This was a requirement from my home owner insurance and I was given about two month starting at the end of November to complete the repair. Because of the holiday provider was not available until after the holiday, I scheduled an appt. early in January. Because of a snowstorm, provider had to cancel appt. but said they would call back to reschedule. After a week I did not hear from provider, so called and left a message. Did not hear back from provider, so left another message reminding provider that I only had until the end of January to complete the repair. Did not hear back. The provider finally responded to my call on January 30th telling me that he could not do the repair until the outdoor temp was above freezing. My insurance company canceled my policy the following day. While this past winter was unprecedented, the providers lack of response gave me little opportunity to find another provider. I had also prepaid and had gotten an estimate for the work, so I wanted to proceed with this particular provider.

I contacted the provider through Angie's List messaging because the phone number provided was constantly busy. My messages did not receive a response and I have been unable to contact the provider in any other way.

We had scheduling issues because it was around holidays. I ended up not using the deal requested refund.

I would like to have the services performed based on the reviews of their services, and am hoping there is a reasonable explanation for the lack of responsiveness.

This was a four-hour handyman special. My pet priorities were five internal doors that were unable to close or had loose hinges, or were coming off their slider track. Dino was the carpenter who came from Finished Edge to tackle the job, meticulously taking the heavy wooden doors off for planing/sanding, adjusting springs, re-installing hinges and tuning up the latch alignments. Now all the doors line up beautifully, close smoothly and latch easily. Dino was on time, pleasant, professional and cleaned up so well you wouldn't know he'd been here. He used drop cloths and vacuumed up wood shavings and sawdust, explained to me what he was going to do and why, then went ahead and got the jobs done. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Finished Edge.

Everything went fine. We had trouble getting in touch with them and we finally set it up. Then we had to cancel once because of them and once because of us but it finally were done. My wife took care of everything and we were happy. My son had some insurance work done and he wanted to finish up some work in the same room. Everybody seemed happy with the service. We were very satisfied with the price. Once we ironed that communication issue, they were very responsive to us and they changed the appointment to whenever we needed to change for our own reasons.

I have try to Get in touch with the Provider since i notices that provider never Reply to my Message ... tried the number Listed on the page and number is constantly busy 24/7 ... i resend another message and No reply either ... Very disappointed.

I am seeking a refund from Angie's list.

Went with C rating for OVERALL because it is average/neutral. Didn't want to give F rating. Doesn't deserve A because of no contact. Can not say how it went because nothing happened. Not even a phone call from provider. I purchased because of price and location. Wanted/needed work done.

When contracted Jack in Dec. he contacted me promptly but I informed him I would wait until after the holidays to gather a list of repairs needed then contact him. Called him twice end of February and he did not return calls. Third call he answered and informed me he was scheduled for surgery and would be unable to do any work until after recuperation period of 2-3 months. Said he would have someone else contact me to help out but I never heard from anyone.

I purchased the $99 handyman service for 4 hours off Angies List. The company forgot about our appointment on the dtae of service and I had to call them to see if they were still coming. The company apologized and was very professional about it. We resheduled for two days later. I understand that mistakes happen. On the date of service, everything was completed to my liking. The carpenter was knowledgable, detailed, and cleaned his work area. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend their services in the future.

Jack got in touch with me immediately after I'd purchased the "deal" and made an appointment. Vincent arrived promptly, and very quickly handled everything I hired him to do. He was courteous, professional, and efficient. It's not easy to find someone who's willing to do small, but necessary, repairs. Couldn't be happier with this company.

After Hurricane Sandy requested estimate for flood damage to home on LBI. Contacted 11/14/12 and sent pictures of flood damage. Finished Edge asked for more pictures and I provided 11/18/12. Got no response from Finished Edge until 11/23/12 and was asked to provide same. Finally after 2 weeks came to inspect property to be able to price for an estimate. Said estimate would take a day, but estimate emailed 12/9/12 for $5500. On 12/10/12 Finished Edge sent new email stating estimate was incorrect, revised estimate was approximately $3500. Thought new estimate was fair and inquired as to start date, but heard nothing. Contacted Finished Edge approximately 12/20/12 and asked if job could be started between 12/24-12/31/12. Finished Edge replied, was waiting to acquire other jobs maybe start date would be 2nd week in January would call me. Today is 2/04/13, guess I shouldn't hold my breath waiting for that phone call. Recommend others find more a more professional or ethical contractor !!! After reviewing the response from Finished Edge, I stand by my review and grade of " F" . While I am not a psychologist to address the emotional state of Finished Edge after Super Storm Sandy, my review was only on the unprofessional nature after their estimate 12/9/12 and follow up email estimate 12/10/12. I found fault and insult in that after taking my time and theirs to travel to LBI, work up an estimate and further update it on the 10th , that you actually intended to want to do the job. I assumed your estimate was for my job and not contingent on your future opportunity on LBI, no where stated in the estimate, in fact the pricing stated was good for 30 days. You were the one that stated you rented a local home because you were not a local contractor and hoped to benefit from opportunities the Storm Sandy provided your company. To be blunt, I was seeking a contractor " not local" because due to the overwhelming amount of damage and clean up after Sandy local contractors were giving outrageous estimates and in my opinion taking advantage of those effected by Super Storm Sandy. I wish we could have done business but I stand by my review and rating.

He has done a lot of things for us. His prices started out very fair and his work is very good but then the rest of the estimates I got from him seemed to be somewhat out of line so I didn't use him for those things. His work is good and he is responsible and reliable. In the beginning his prices were very good but when I compared them on the latter because I've been working with him for about 8 months now, the latter estimates were somewhere out of line. I wouldn’t have let him do the work if I hadn't thought he was fair. He calls right back. I would use him again.

The guy is great. We liked his first job and then we called him the second time because he does it on time and he does it like he is suppose to. He does fantastic work. Yes, I have already used him after the first time he did something I used him again. Then there was something else and I have used him again.

They did a fantastic job. He was there on time and did the work when he said he was going to. He did a masterful job.

Contractor uses an answering service;he did not return a call.

It was a generally positive experience. I needed to call once or twice to follow up on a quote & visit, but they responded when I called. He has good general handyman skills - greater with carpentry. He was not able to fix the front outdoor light. I purchased a new switch but needed to call electrician to finish. He was also polite. The price came out to @ $50.00/hr.
