Description of Work: We recently purchased a new home that was missing an outside water spigot and needed laundry hookups in the basement (washing machine water lines and drains, laundry tub with water lines and drainage, and gas dryer gas lines and air vents). Matt's price that he quoted was in-line with the other estimates. He came out for a fee estimate. Once we agreed to use him, he came when he said he'd come and pushed to get the job done as he knew we needed to get our laundry machines installed. He did a really great job with everything that we asked for and he guarantees his work. I would definitely recommend him and I do plan on using him again in the future for more minor plumbing additions (such as adding a garbage disposal, etc.).

Description of Work: I called Matt in the morning because my toilet tank was leaking. He came early that afternoon and replaced the valve inside the tank and the supply line coming from the shut-off valve. He is very personable and has a good sense of humor. We engaged in friendly conversation while he was working, but he did not let that slow him down. I plan to call him in a couple of months when I remodel my bathroom.

+ 0 moreOverall a very good experience. All work was completed satisfactorily. He made two visits: 1) replace cut-off and supply - very quickly completed. Attempted cleanout of the clogged washbowl drain but the snake he had could not get past the bend in the trap, so after several attempts, he said he would be back with a new snake and a new trap in case the new snake still didn't make it past the bend. 2) came back as promised and scheduled, new snake also failed, so ended up cutting off the ancient trap just before it entered the wall, removed the clog, then put on the new trap and joined to the pipe entering the wall with a short rubber coupling. I had agreed this would be fine, since the trap and coupling are mostly hidden behind a removable pedestal which is mostly for decoration, the bowl is supported at the wall with wall hangers. I was very pleased both with his work, professionalism, and his pleasant conversation while I watched him work. A job well done.

His price also included the price of the pump. During the estimate, he told me to save myself some money and buy the utility sink and faucet on my own - which I did. If you ever need a plumber in the Morris or Essex County areas, call Matt Barron. Great price and great service.
Description of Work: Matt Barron installed a new utility sink and new pump in my basement. This required him to cut and install new PVC and cut and install new copper piping and fittings. He also fixed a running toilet, which two other plumbers did not diagnose properly, and Matt didn't charge me for it.
