I had estimates from 3 different companies. Based on the price and customer feedbacks I gathered, I went with Bauer Doors, LLC. The person who did the estimate came on time and provided me with the necessary information although I wasn't handed a brochure that would showcase the different products the company offered. I thought it didn't matter since I already had a particular design and type in mind after doing my own research on line based on the brands the company carried. After making it known what kind of garage door I wanted, I was told it would take around 2-3 weeks for them to order and obtain the product. (All 3 companies that provided estimates did inform me about the 2-3-week wait.) A little over 2 weeks, I got a call from the company to let me know they received the product and right there I was able to schedule the installation date. The company sent 2 workers on the day of the installation. They came on time and started working in the garage even before I got up. They were very courteous when I came out of the house to introduce myself. I reminded them to also install my old automatic garage door openers to the new doors when they're done. The work was completed around noontime. One of the guys handed me an invoice for $1600. They made sure the doors were operational before they left. On the weekend of the installation, I had the chance to thoroughly inspect the work that was done. I was happy they were able to add reinforcing bars on the top portion of the doors which the estimator said were necessary to strengthen the units. My previous garage door folded on top and became inoperable. The only thing that wasn't up to my standard was the way the bars that held the tracks were cut. The folded and sharp edges of the bars told me their cutting instrument wasn't that sharp or precise. At any rate, I manually straightened the bars with oversized pliers and a hammer which did the trick. After a couple of days, my wife informed me that her garage door won't open. I tried to check it out but couldn't find the problem. All I knew was there wasn't any power going through her garage door. I immediately called the company and told them about the problem. They sent somebody right away and later that day, somebody from the company called me to inform me that it was fixed. It turned out that somebody moved the toggle switch to my wife's garage door to the off position. I was so glad the company was so responsive and the problem identified was minor. It has been three months and the doors have been working well. I would highly recommend this company to anybody who might want to have their garage doors replaced.

Jimmy came over to fix a horrific job another individual did on my garage door opener. He was very punctual and showed a great knowledge and passion for his work. He also fixed a broken cable that prevented me from opening my other garage door. He even charged me less than he originally quoted. In the end the nightmare became a dream come true. Definitely recommend this company for your garage door needs and look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

The owner personally came out in one day to assess the situation; he recommended a new opener. I approved it. However, it took over a week to get the actual replacement work done. Not sure why, but the work was done very well.

Mr. Bauer was most helpful and cooperative in terms of the selection both for esthetic appearance of door for our home and price. They came as scheduled and on-time, and in a couple of ours had installed the doors - disposing of all wastes and leaving everything in order. Yes, I will definitely call on them if the need were to arise.

Very good. They initially missed the message on the invoice to call me on my cell upon arrival as I can not hear my door bell when from my office (they later pointed out to me that the note was on the invoice). The point is, they should up as scheduled and still went ahead and started the repair work (presumably on the assumption that I'd be good for eventually showing up and pay for the work done) They explained what they were doing and answered all questions to my satisfaction. The replaced garage door motor was at least 20 yrs old (also installed by Bauer Doors via tag on the motor) and I felt it was time for a new one. Not only did they install the new motor but also cleaned the railings of gunk and, oiled the (very) squeaky door coils. Can't say that I absolutely got the best price because I did not do any comparison but I clearly believe that I got the best value. I have the sense that a family-based, community business has a stronger incentive to keep the local buyer satisfied and Bauer Doors was no disappointment.

They came out promptly and gave me an exact estimate. I had some questions about the window and panel styles from two different manufacturers and was able to go to their office and see them next to each other, to make it easier to make a choice. They even obtained one of the window inserts for me from the warehouse, so that I would know what I am choosing, rather than looking at a picture in the catalogue. The doors came in within three weeks and were installed the same week. The installation took just one day, which was unbelievable. The garage doors look and work great and everything was spotless at the end of the job. I would highly recommend using Bauer doors, since they are very easy to deal with, take their time to educate their customers, and did a great job with my installation.

I believe his name was Jim. He fit me into his busy schedule the day that I called him. I asked him to call in advance because I wanted to put my dogs away while he was there. He called in advance and came right on time. He was very personable - I enjoyed talking to him while he was working - he did not hesitate to share what he was doing and what needed to be done. I was also struck by how meticulous he was - he wanted to make sure everything was just so - a quality guy who does a quality job. Without my asking he greased and oiled where it was needed and tightened all bolts. I felt comfortable that the job was done right.

We needed a new garage door and opener. Bauer Doors came when they said they would--we ordered the door/opener; it was delivered and installed in less than 2 weeks. The price was reasonable and the installation went extremely well.

I called on a Friday and they came promptly on Monday morning. Very friendly and polite.

I called the company on Tuesday and explained my situation. We agreed that he would come over that Thursday between 11:00 and 2:00. He arrived at 11:15 on Thursday, showed me what had to be done, and told me the cost. I accepted his proposal and he began work. By 12:00 the work had been completed and my garage door was in working order once again. It was also reassuring to note that the contractor's bill indicated that parts are under warranty for a year and his labor guaranteed for 90 days.

WE USED THEM WHEN WE FIRST MOVED HERE 28-30 YEARS AGO, AND WE LIKE THEM. THEY DID TELL US OVER THE PHONE WHAT IT WOULD COST. THEY CAME OVER AND SHOWED US SOME PICTURES. THEY CAME AND PUT THE GARAGE DOOR IN ON THE DAY PREVIOUSLY STATED.

SO FAR THE GARAGE DOOR IS CLEAN AND EFFICIENT. THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS SO FAR. THE PRICING IS VERY GOOD and it IS NOT SOMETHING YOU BUY ALL OF THE TIME SO YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE GETTING A QUALITY PRODUCT, WHICH WE DID. THE QUALITY OF WORK IS EXCELLENT, YOU CAN HARDLY TELL WHEN IT IS OPENING OR CLOSING BECAUSE IT IS SO QUIET.

THEY WERE SATISFACTORY. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN. THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE SPRING IN STOCK SO I HAD TO WAIT. IF I WAS IN A BIND, I WOULD HAVE HAD TO WAIT FOR IT STOCK WISE OR INVENTORY-WISE.
