Description of Work: Joe Krowska came by todo an inspection of a possible leak around the flashing. He performed a thorough inspection and found there to be no evidence of a leak. He was professional, kind and helpful I would absolutely recommend his services. Although no work was performed he gave me his honest professional opinion and that is what counts more sometimes. He did not perform unnecessary work.

 + -1 moreWe had originally contacted someone else to do the job but he rarely answered our calls and then would just show up. This happened a couple of times but we let it slide at first because it was a hectic time immediately following Sandy. But then he went almost 2 weeks without responding so we contacted Certified. They came right away and the estimate was lower than the orginal. We decided to go with Certified because of their response and lower cost. The original contractor showed up, unannounced at 6 pm Sunday night after 2 weeks, and we told him we went with someone else. Certified did an excellent job and were here on time. They cleaned up the area and took care not to damage the shrubs around the front of the house. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: We lost part of the front of our roof during Sandy. They replaced the entire front in one day.

NJ Certified Roofing had a large crew and completed the job in 4 days. They were professional and we are satisfied with the work they provided. They were also very neat and cleaned up well around the property and removed all debris. I would highly recommend this contractor in the future.

 + -1 moreNJ Certified Roofing was great. From the start, they were a professional company, with good customer service and people who answered questions in a timely, thoughtful manner. We got other estimates from a few local roofers, but I was put off by the lack of customer service and lack of professionalism. We dealt with Victor Sanchez at NJ Certified Roofing throughout the process and he was excellent!! We were first time homebuyers feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the repairs we had to make and he explained our choices and what they were doing and why. We knew nothing about roofs and shingles and it would've been easy for NJ Certified Roofing to sell us on more expensive material and product, but they were honest about what we needed and the warranty they offered seemed solid. We had a small issue with some small debris from the old roof spilling onto a neighbor's fence, but they cleaned it up and handled it in a prompt manner. We have dealt with several contractors and repair people in the almost year we've been in the house, and NJ Certified Roofing was by far the most professional, problem-free experience.

Description of Work: We have several skylights in our 20 year old contemporary home. Several leaked. They convinced me (with serval very slick glossy materials bragging how they were in business for over 30 years) to replace the roof. They kindly, at no charge, even caulked my skylights. That job was neat, prompt and seemingly well done. The leaking still didn't abate. Called them back, since they are on the Vellus window recommended list, to replace three skylights. Price was ok but the ordered a more expensive model wanting me pay the additional cost which I refused. The error was theirs. I would have gladly done so but the installation of the windows was HORRIBLE! Done by a non English speaking crew. I couldn't even get the window opener in the crank to open one as it was so badly installed. The topper is that now that I have a new roof and 10,000 of new skylights, the leaks are worse than ever!! They are no longer al the address listed. I want to take them to small clais court but T can't get them to returns my many many calls. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THEM.

 + -1 moreThey did a good job. It was excellent in terms of skill and customer service. The staff was extremely professional on site. They answered questions and kept me informed. The follow up from the company was great as well. The salesperson even wanted to come from another job to tarp our roof because there was rain coming. And the salesperson provided various options according to pricing and the benefits of going with each option.
Description of Work: They fixed a leak in the roof and replaced the entire flat roof.

 + -1 moreI contracted to completely replace 6 metal slats in the soffits of the 3rd floor dormers of my home. To my surprise, the workmen who came to do the work were not sure what they were supposed to do. Once that was clarified, they replaced the metal slats in 2 of the soffits and only repaired the other 4 with pieces of new metal. I called the company to request that the workmen return to complete the job for which they were contracted. The company responded immediately. When the workmen came back to review the job the main workman repeatedly tried to convince me that the job "looked okay" and was "good enough" even though it was not what I contracted the company to do, or what I paid for. After making it clear that either the company could reduce the price for the work or complete the work, the workman agreed to return the following day to do the job. A disappointing experience with a company I'd used before.

Description of Work: I hired NJCR to do a roof job for me and it was the worst experience I ever had with a contractor! The right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing! This company is so unprofessional and the work is of such poor quality! NJCR used illegal immigrants to perform the work at my house that DO NOT speak english, hence the horrible job performed! Just about everything is wrong with the job they did.... My house has brown capping and soffits, when the non-english speaking crew showed up i figured oh "what the heck" . Later in the day when i came back to the job they had installed white drip edge all the way around the house! Remind you that i have brown soffit. The white drip edge looked ridiculous against the brown almost like a brown and white candy cane! I called to complain and the way NJCR resolved that first problem was to SPRAY PAINT THE DRIP EDGE ALL THE WAY AROUND MY HOUSE ON A NEW ROOF INSTALLATION!!!...... HOW IS SPRAY PAINT GOING TO HOLD UP IN THE ELEMENTS OF WINTER AND RAIN ? After seeing this I knew i was in for a problem.Upon further investigation i noticed so many things wrong that they are hard to document them all. After noticing all the mess ups I called again and complained and was told by John the salesman that NJCR's best technician will be coming out to inspect the job. This man's name is Carlos. When he arrived it was almost like he saw a ghost! He walked around for about a half hour shaking his head and confirming my fears of the brutally awful job performed! He then told me NJCR has had many problems finding reliable good workers, and the salesman John had repeated the same inability to find quality workers to me also. After spending about an hour with Carlos going over all the mistakes i thought they would all be fixed. Weeks passed and NJCR finally sent someone who had no idea what was wrong with my job, so we had to go through the whole explanation again. This guy came without tools and wood to fix the job so he left with an excuse why he couldnt fix the job that day! A week later another guy came who again had no clue what was wrong with the job, we again had to go through it all. Now this guy couldnt perform the work need because he didnt have the proper ladders and equipment to fix the job. At this time i started to get really mad because i felt like i was scammed by a con artist salesman named John! John lied about almost everything, from the wood being replaced to who was performing the work. I was told by John that this crew who did my job was notorious for bad work and had to be fired! NJCR KNOWINGLY SENT A SUB PAR ROOF CREW TO PERFORM A JOB, PERIOD! NOW ITS 5 MONTS LATER AND STILL HAVE ALL THE SAME ISSUES AS BEFORE, NOTHING WAS DONE AT ALL! CHUCK THE OWNER OF THE TERRIBLE COMPANY CALLED ME ABOUT 2 WEKS AGO AND THE FIRST WORDS OUT OF HIS MOUTH WERE "WHY THE F*** ARE YOU BUSTING MY BALLS"? CHUCK IS SO ARROGANT AND IGNORANT THAT HE DOESNT REALIZE THAT IF THE JOB WAS DONE RIGHT THERE WOULD BE NO DISCUSSION ABOUT HOW BAD NJCR IS! I JUST WANT TO WARN THE PUBLIC TO NEVER EVER USE NJCR ROOFING OR NJ CERTIFIED ROOFING (SAME COMPANY) FOR ANY JOB!! SHOWS THE TYPE OF PEOPLE RUNNING THIS COMPANY WITH NO MORALS AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. NEVER NEVER USE NJ CERTIFIED ROOFING, THEY ARE AWFUL! I WANT MY MONEY BACK IN FULL AND CURRENTLY IN TALKS WITH MY LAWYER ABOUT A LAW SUIT AGAINST NJCR CERTIFIED ROOFING AND THE LOUSY OWNER CHUCK ANANIA

 + -1 moreThe company that installed (flat) roof about five years ago went out of business. We luckily found NJCR who has serviced/repaired our roof and done some added work (re-roofing soffit and replacing downspouts that we did not do when we had roof replaced). They have also installed a system to reduce water pooling on our roof. They have backed up their work 100%, management is very responsive and their work appears to be quality. If things deteriorate, which I hear often happens with roofing companies when prior customers request service, I will update this review accordingly, but at this point, based on my experience, I Highly Recommend NJCR .

 + -1 moreHorribly. Gave me a quote for the entitre job. Came and did 1/2 the roof. Roof continued to leak on the back side of the house. I called them. They told me the back side of the house was not included. When I provided them with the quote, they apologized and came back and "finished" the job. Immediately the roof continued to leak. 3 weeks worth of calls to the company and it's owner Chuck A without the courtesy of an return phone call. The total experience left a sour taste in my mouth. I would not reccommend these people to my worst enemy.

Description of Work: got a new roof from them last year, recently found out there were molds on section of the plywood in the attic, called them multiple times and didn't receive a call back at all. When we paid them in full last year, they mentioned that the roof has 10 years warranty, never mind what they said, they never called us back after they took our money, bunch of con-artists!!!! stay clear from these liars!!!

 + -1 moreInitially, or at least within the first few months, the work was pretty good; however, after those first few months one of the leaks they fixed still leaked. We called them and they sent a team to repair the leak. About a year later, we had a problem with that same leaking area again and they sent a team to repair it once again. The beginning of this summer we noticed the leak yet again and attempted to call Allstate Roofing & Siding, but this type they FAILED to respond to our calls. Their answering message says that they'll return your call within "one hour"; it's been about TWO WEEKS and two hours and I still haven't heard from them.
Description of Work: Allstate Roofing and Siding repaired our roof and gutters and they were supposed to repair a number of leaks on our roof and ceiling. They also replaced a good portion our broken clay tiles on our roof.

They responded promptly, got the job done very quickly and even sealed the 2nd story door that led to the roof -- the source of the leak -- that the other guy had said was unfixable. The workers were courteous and fast. Chuck, the guy we dealt with, was polite and responsive. Overall a great experience, as far as roofing goes.
Description of Work: We have a side porch that is enclosed with a rolled roof and the ceiling collapsed during a particularly rainy season. We'd had another roofer scheduled to come in a few weeks later; when the ceiling collapsed, there was black mold in the insulation. After numerous attempts to contact our scheduled roofer with no success, we called NJ Certified. They had to remove all existing roofing materials down to the beams.

 + -1 moreThey were very responsive. The price was much better then the prices I had been quoted by other companies. Other company people stood outside the building on the street trying to identify what was wrong, but these people came up to the third floor and tried to find out what they needed to do. They were much more detailed about the work than anyone else.
Description of Work: They replaced some Spanish tiles on the roof and identified the source for roof leak. There were some metal flaps in the doormat that had to be removed. They completely replaced those and they sealed some loose gutters.

They had an inspector come back to check out the job and he found something that he had them come back out and fix. This was something we would have never seen. Our only complaint would be that they left the dumpster in our driveway for 5 days.
Description of Work: They tore off the old roof and put on a new roof. This was done on our two story home.
