Description of Work: After making an appointment with Mr. Constantine, he sent a team of 2 people out to access the asbestos insulation on the heating pipes. These 2 young men were there approximately 20 minutes. They were very professional courteous and knew what they were doing. After their assesment, they left and I received a call from John in the office who gave me a great price and set up a date to do the work. The day of the work the team was punctual, courteous and professional. The job was completed in a timely manner and test results and the Certificate were received along with the removal of waste.

Description of Work: This company was NOT used due to the fact that the contractor showed up 2 hours late without calling and with his 11 yr old. I have 2 dogs - An Italian Mastiff and a Shitzu, she was extremely terrified of all dogs. She immediately, started yelling and crying the minute they walked in the door. I had to lock up my well behaved pets, as to she was still terrified thinking they were going to escape and harm her. This was very uncomfortable for me and my wife and very distracting. He offered to have her sit and wait in the car but I declined because it was 30 degrees outside. So she stayed in the foyer and later inched her way into the living room, where my wife had to comfort her. The contractor and I continued our inspection in the basement. It was over in less than 10 minutes and quoted $1250. When I asked him how much work was involved and what was the process, his answer," 20 something joints". Again, I asked what the process was. I asked 3 questions. Is there an air quality test? Do you have permits? How is the asbestos removed from the pipes? His answers were short and not detailed. I felt as if I were pulling teeth with him. He hand wrote an estimate that was hardly legible on office letterhead that looked as if he had copied it 100 times (very faint). Our meeting was over. His little girl apologized for the trouble and he left just the same. His quote was never followed up by a detailed typed estimate on real company letterhead and I got numerous phones from the company insisting on when they were going to start? I went with another contractor that were punctual and professional. He counted 39 joints, even opened a panel that was closed underneath the 1st floor bathroom. He explained the process from A-Z and quoted $50 less. Followed up by a detailed, typed estimate on company letterhead, with no annoying phone calls.

Description of Work: We had Constantine come inspect possible asbestos tape that our buyers inspector found, The buyers sent an abatement company to give an estimate and they took one look and said it is asbestos and it will be $650 to remove. Constantine said he didn't think it was and sent a sample to a lab. We paid the $150 lab fee and he said he would credit that to the removal cost if it turned out to be asbestos. Lukily, it was not. He could have very easily charged us the $650 and taken it out. It would have been "easy money" since it's only a 2 hour simple job. His honesty and professionalism were very refreshing during this stressful time of selling our house. I would HIGHLY recommend Aztech!

Description of Work: Our home inspection included a concern about some asbestos in the ductwork. Aztech took a sample, tested it, and sealed the affected areas. They advised against removing the asbestos because it was not friable and removal would be costly and increase the risk of spreading fibers.
