Description of Work: Owner Mike Hevner is well known as a maven on the subject of diesel/TDI Volkswagens. He's a no-BS guy who does solid work and stands behind it. And because he runs his shop in the hinterlands of New Jersey, he's able to do jobs big and small at reasonable prices. One VW specialist quoted me $5,600 to address failing engine components on a 2005 Passat TDI. Mike did all that work and more for just over $3,000. His expertise and follow through-as well as his effort to find the most affordable solutions-were worth the round trips from NYC.

+ -1 moreThis is a very charming, nice place. The man who runs it is very friendly and courteous. He is also professional and does expert, precise work. He can handle any welding or wrought iron project. I've used him before and have always had good results.
Description of Work: I took my wrought iron stair banister to Alpine Welding to have him get rid of the curlicues and turn them into twisted metal. He painted it as well and made an additional handrail.
