I had Royal Garage Doors (a/k/a Royal Exteriors) come to my home to replace two garage doors and motors and I honestly can not remember the last time I was this happy with a contractor. John (from Royal) contacted me right away, came out and explained the various doors available (brochure with pics) and the differences between them (not just cost differences but material too). Told me to take my time and think about it (no high pressure sale tactics). When "he" followed up with me, I told him which ones I decided on. He confirmed they were in stock and available and he asked me when I would like them installed. I picked the date and he came. My garage was not empty and moving what was in there would have been a huge problem for me. John said not to worry and he simply worked around what was there (I honestly don't know how he did it.) The old doors were were from the 50s and were heavy wooden noisy monsters. The new doors look and work great and the motors are almost silent. John installed all new metal supports and tracks (really solid job). The whole process from inquiry to completion was about one week. John's help was also very courteous and a pleasure to work with. John even suggested some heat saving measures I could implement in the garage.(He really knows his stuff). Royal even took away the the old doors and garbage. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone. Royal (John) is absolutely the best.
Description of Work: Replaced old (really old) garage doors and motors with beautiful, well working new ones.

John contacted me by text messages within minutes of me requesting the service on Angies List. I was having some issues with my garage door, I wasn't sure if it was a faulty key pad or something to do with the motor. I decided to go with John's company, Royal Garage Door. He arrived promptly at the time we agreed on. Within a few minutes he advised me that I just needed a new key pad. He also mentioned adding 2 extension springs to the door (120lb). A new key pad was installed and two springs added to the door. Job was completed in about half hour. The final bill was pricey, at $275. Except for the final bill, the work performed was fine.
