They're excellent people. It's a family, husband and wife. They've got a set of sub-contractors that they use that are just top-notch, great guys. They're fair on price, that kind of thing, and I've used the subs if I've had electrical work that needs to be done, in fact, I had the plumber here not too long ago. Rotondo Cabinetry is a class act, family run and they provide, basically turn-key. They came in, gave me a price to do my kitchen, the price was good, they did the design, and that's included in the price, so I didn't pay anything extra for that. We really liked the design. We went to their showroom and they have cabinets. They showed us all the different qualities and price-ranges and things like that, the same with tiles and counter-tops and all that good stuff. They did a complete demolition and rebuilding. They coordinated all the sub-contractors basically and all I did was write checks. So it was a good deal. I had a radiant heat concrete floor, they brought a guy in with a jack-hammer who took that out, all the way down to the dirt and we poured a new slab with radiant heat in the slab. All of the walls had to be redone. It was a cinder block building so what they had to do was re-frame all the walls and ceiling. There was a bay window that's been in there for years that wasn't installed properly, they fixed that and put additional footings in to hold the weight up. They insulated the whole kitchen, and then finished it off with sheet-rock, and then the cabinets and they did all the installations of the appliances, the electrical work, and all the plumbing. This is not your "stick in a few cabinets" remodel. This was tear it down to the dirt on the floor and to the cinder-blocks on the wall and to the rafters up above. They basically rebuilt the entire kitchen. That was actually about four years ago, but I'm contemplating another project. I have a barn that has a kitchen and a bath. I'm still contemplating having them come out and re-do that. I spent $100,000, including the appliances. I didn't pay them for the appliances, I went out and shopped around. What I did was, I provided them with all the models so they'd get the sizing and so the cabinets were all built custom to fit all of the stuff.
Description of Work: Rotondo Cabinetry re-did my kitchen. They did a full kitchen remodel. They tore it down to the walls and rebuilt it.

The job began in May of '07. The kitchen looks beautiful in its design but if you look at the cabinet quality, it is a major disappointment. The cabinet company used by Rotundo, does not produce a quality product. On the first delivery approximately one third of the cabinetry delivered was damaged or incorrect. More than half of the reorder was also damaged and incorrect. This resulted in months of delay in the finishing of the kitchen. At the moment, we have twelve replacement doors, sent by cabinet provider, in our basement, since November '07. Rotundo refuses to return to our home and finish the job. In the beginning of the installing process, Rotundo was cooperative. He then became unhappy with his need to return (his fault since he hadn't checked the replacement cabinetry before leaving his home and traveling 45 minutes to our home). His work got sloppy along with his having to return to replace damaged door cabinetry. Sadly, we had to allow damaged installed cabinets remain since removing them was not possible (attached to the granite counter/wall/etc. We received credit from the cabinet company but that resulted in Rotundo having to eat some of his profit. Hence his negative attitude and refusal to finish our job. On at least two occasions, we had to empty the cabinets of fine glassware and china, only to have him show up with damaged cabinet doors once again. Both the cabinet supplier and Rotundo Cabinetry are at fault for our having a kitchen with very, very poor quality cabinets and doors. The cabinet provider for the quality of their product and Rotundo for using them in the first place and for refusing to replace the twelve doors sitting in our basement. We waited twenty years to redo our kitchen and this is the quality and service we received after spending over $26,000 of our hard earned money on the cabinetry.
Description of Work: The kitchen was designed, gutted and then installed. The subcontractors Rotundo provided did an excellent job on the gutting, drywalling, painting and flooring. Our electrician, who works with Rotundo also did a good job. The installation of the cabinetry and the quality of the cabinetry provided by Rotundo Cabinetry was the problem.
