Description of Work: Made an appointment for an estimate, however was a no show. Forty minutes after the scheduled appointment, I called him. He apologized, and said there was something going on with his kids. We rescheduled the appointment for a few days later, and once again was a no show.

they told they were were coming the next day, so i could have the family dogs inside and i could have my car out of the driveway. The front tree they used the boom truck and the tree in the back they roped it down and swung it back on to my property. they asked if i wanted the wood. i didn't so they took it away.
Description of Work: Trimmed a tree in the front yard, brought it down from 30 ft to 15ft. removed a trunk of a tree that was hanging over neighbors fence. didn't want it to take the fence if it was to break.

They returned my call promptly. They were very responsive to my questions and my needs and the paper work I needed from my insurance company. They cleaned up after the job and were very courteous. All in all, it was a great experience with them.

WE CALLED RICH AT A1 TREE SERVICE ,AND ASKED FOR INFORMATION. HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE, AND VERY COURTESY. HE CAME TO SEE US AND WENT OVER EVERYTHING . THE JOB WAS COMPLETED AND WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS
Description of Work: THE SERVICE PERFORMED WAS 3 TREES TRIMMED AND ONE TREE CUT DOWN. ALL DEBRIS WAS CLEANED UP. THE TREE CUT DOWN WAS CUT UP IN 18" PIECES.WE

I had an appointment with them for an estimate at 9am. At 8:30am I went out to drop my daughter off at an activity, and was back home BEFORE 9am. They came early and left while I was out, leaving a note that I missed our appointment. I called the office and left a message about the appointment but they never called back.

This Tree Service in my opinion is the best by far! Mike Ridge runs his business in a very professional way, and the proof is in the pudding. They do outstanding work. The workers are like monkeys in a tree. I can't believe how the rig themselves around from limb to limb. The cleanup of my yard, was left spotless! This is the kind of service all companies should model themselves by!
Description of Work: Cut out all damage to trees (due to storm). Removed all debris from prorperty.

We were told by Rich that they would begin work on April 6. At approx. 8:30 a.m. they arrived and began setting up. There were six workers in all including two gentlemen who climbed the trees. (They could not use a bucket truck for this job). By 3 p.m. , the work was completed, yard where they worked raked and cleaned up. All wood was cut to specs and stacked. These men worked together like a well-trained team. Safety was obviously their focus and the work proceeded without a snag.
Description of Work: After checking Angie's List for recommendations of local tree removal services, we found A-1 Stump Grinding in Hampton, Nj. However, in the phone book there were two very similar listings. The owner of A-1 Stump Grinding and the service we used are actually brothers. Neighbors of ours had some work done by Rich's A-1 Tree Service and my husband spoke to one of the workers. He was very impressed with the worker's knowledge and professionalism. Also, he was amazed at the quality of the work being done. The worker gave us their card and my husband called. We had an immediate response and the next day a visit by Rich ,the owner, for an estimate. We contacted several other local services and Rich's estimate was the best. We had several very large trees removed, cut up into 18'' lengths and stacked. Also, they removed 30 yr. old overgrown shrubs from the front of our house. All branches under 4'' in diameter were mulched.
