R&S Landscaping

Julie came out, took some pictures, heard my ideas, and created a beautiful landscape design for the front of the house. Overall, the company was courteous, professional, and they communicated in a timely manner. The pricing was comparable. We just decided to do something else instead.

After that review appeared, I was contacted by R&S on 3/20/2017 and arrangements were made for a landscaper to visit my home, assess the tree and recommend a course of action. The dead tree was removed on 4/6/17 and a replacement planted on 4/13/17. I will monitor the progress of this tree and will promptly engage R&S at the first sign of distress. As a result of the responsiveness of R&S, I am revising my rating from F to B.

They did an awesome job. We got them from Angie’s List. These people are actually very good. They are also very competitive, because we had gotten multiple estimates from people, so they were right on.

The installation was done in April 2014 and went well with all the new plants thriving in the summer of 2014. However, by December 2014 one of the trees died and it took until November 2015 for R&S Landscaping to replace the dead tree. By November 2016 the replacement tree also died. I contacted R&S by e-mail and sent photos of the dead tree, and despite several subsequent attempts to contact them, i have not had the courtesy of a response from R&S Landscaping.

It was a complex project and I appreciate their dedication, diligence and attention to detail. We were very satisfied with the results.

(What was good) They were just prompt. It was just winterisation so promptness is the only what you look at in such deals. (What can they improve) They were perfect. It was a 20-30 min process.

Everything went very well. I would highly recommend this company. Rod was excellent, very professional, warm & friendly. His employee louis was also very professional and informative

On time, service performed as needed.

No one showed for the appointment so I called again and they scheduled a guy to come in the next couple of days. He showed up and didn't have the equipment so said he had to come back. We scheduled another appointment for the following week and the work was performed. The Guy who did the work was great. But I was charged for two visits. I would not recommend this company but again the guy who did the work was good. He did leave the sprinkler heads in a state where they were only hitting the parts of the lawn at the far edge of where the water hits. They should have been modified so the stream of water coming from the sprinkler hit near the head as well as far away from the sprinkler head. Otherwise the guy was great. Classic example of management of a company who is pushing so hard to get more revenue that they no longer care what is actually happening. Funny thing is that they had the audacity to call me in the fall to schedule the shut down.

Excellent service both for scheduling the appointment and also for the actual services - both times. very reasonably priced as well !!

They were absolutely awful. They came out and then they took longer than a month to get back to me. We were trying to schedule and that took another several weeks, just to get them to come out to show us the work that they did. It was a completely unpleasant experience. We would make appointments and then they would have to reschedule. We'd reschedule and then they'd ask to reschedule again. It was a total disregard of the time that they were asking us to carve out and not really being flexible at all instead of meeting our scheduling needs. It was not a great experience at all. If you don't like the plan, they wouldn't go back and redo it. It was just a one stab type of thing. If you're looking for them to guide you in the process, it's probably not worth it, not unless you know exactly what you want. I wasn't impressed by their recommendations. It was just a bad experience. If I could give them lower than an F, I would. I would not use them again in the future and I let them know that.

They did winterization good. But the person refused to give a quote for broken pipe and head and told me some one from office will call and give the price. Never heard back.

We purchased this as an Angie's List Big Deal. Zach communicated dates with us and was very good in keeping us informed when weather postponed the original delivery date. The mulch was delivered and spread yesterday while I was at work, so I didn't need to take any time off. They spread the 3 yards of premium hardwood mulch throughout our landscape beds and cleaned up the areas. This was an extremely easy process and we would look to work with R & S Landscaping in the future. Thanks.

Luis came on time and was very efficient in blowing out my sprinklers. I would consider hiring them again.

Good. Liked some of the ideas. Well presented. Cost was more than what I thought it might be. Was not 100% decided on going ahead with this project in my budget vs. another type of project that I was considering. Went another direction.

Bought the package for start-up, mid season inspection, winterization and also repaired issues found during the inspections. Bills came out about 50% more than the estimate. Right after repairing, the other zone broke... After paying more than 1000$ to repair the zones, still water gushing out from the zone they claimed they repaired...

They weren't good because they weren't knowledgeable. After I bought the Big Deal with them, I still had to go out and purchase the sprinkler system from someone else. They were not fully knowledgeable. They didn't complete their job. They gave me the minimum they could because of Angie's List and I had to go out and purchase what I needed from another company. They are cheaper but I told them they wouldn't come out or take any more account without you putting a credit card on file at their office which I refuse to do. They are not treating Angie's List people very kindly. Once you start with them they change all their policies and become not friendly. They did a minimum job and they didn't even want to send somebody else who would do the full job. That would take another 6 weeks. I won't be using them for sprinklers. They are not willing to do anything more than basic.

Went well. Company called ahead to schedule the service, technician arrived on time, and was done within reasonable time.

My experience with a coupon I bought was not very good. The price is great, but price doesn't really matter if you can't get the service. Communication was lacking after I bought this deal, as it took nearly a month to get someone to call me to try and schedule a date for service. I purchased an Angie's Deal from R&S Landscaping after recently having them winterize my sprinkler system. I was very happy with the winterization service and thought that they could deliver the same quality on a conceptual landscape design for $99. Prior to purchasing, I confirmed with them via email that they would provide a full design for an additional $200 (note, the deal was just for conceptual design). They were very professional and responded quickly when I inquired about the additional service prior to purchasing. I purchased the deal on 11/11/2015 with several meeting options that I could make with the designer: Afternoon (PM) on 11/12/2015Afternoon (PM) on 11/16/2015Afternoon (PM) on 11/17/2015 (dates that I had scheduled off for work). In the purchase, I included a note that confirmed the additional services we previously discussed. They responded on 11/16/2015 confirming the agreement on the purchase price, but I didn't receive a call to coordinate the service based on the dates I provided. I contacted them again on 12/6/2015 requesting service for December 11th, and received a response back on December 8th stating that they would have someone contact me. I received a call on December 14th, and we could not arrange a date that worked this year due to the fact that I used all my personal days for work on the dates previously requested. I called again on 12/29 to see if I could arrange a date for service on the 30th or 31st since my office announced it would be closed, but the designer is out this week. While the price is great, and R&S eventually made an attempt to schedule the service, it was a month after it was purchased, and it wasn't a great experience for me. Based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing this coupon. This review is based on one individual's experiences, and may not be representative of the provider's typical services. It went very well. This is our 3rd year with R&S. The gentleman that came at 8, realized the line was frozen (since I foolishly waited too long), and came back in the afternoon when the sun came out and thawed the line. Such a nice man. Also used them fro shrub trimming outside of Angies List. Excellent Service.
