R&S Landscaping

See above, we are speechless. The Owner/President, Rob Schucker has great vision and imagination in creating new and pleasing landscape designs where none exists. He implemented a 3' tall, contemporary cat sculpture (El Gato) into the design along with a sitting area (bench) and parlayed them with an additional bird feeder and existing bird bath. The transformation of our backyard definitely belongs in the "before and after" photos section on his website. Rob's professionalism along with the rest of his team was sincerely appreciated and communications, time frames were all met and respected. Damian and Rocky were a couple of the key members however there is also a behind the scenes admins crew that deserves our appreciation and thanks as well. We look forward to working with R&S going forward on additional work and services. We highly recommend them for all landscaping and design and service needs!

The representative, John, was very professional. He stayed in contact with me throughout the process. He provided an accurate timetable letting me know when the proposal and drawings would be available. We may hold off on the project for now, but would gladly work with R&S in the future.

It was very nice. He gave me the estimate but we decided to go with someone else. He was pleasant and on time. The price was little high. I expected an actual presentation to what it would look like after its finished.

I placed my order on May 4, 2014. I received the plans on June 23rd, a full 7 weeks which seemed really excessive. Worse yet, the plans completely left out a few of the critical areas we had specifically requested be included in the plans. In summary, we were pretty disappointed with the final product...

Had a good experience with Robert and his crew who came on time on the day of the job and finished doing what they set out to achieve. Robert also had good suggestions that were put in place so overall it was a good experience! Thank you guys!!!

Received the estimate and made comparison with other companies and chose to give the job to R&S because of previous satisfactory work they have done for us.

As stated above I really like working with them. They are on time and everything is done in the manner promised. My only challenge has been with my sprinkler system. I signed up In March and still noone has come out. I have follow up several time and am still unable to make an appointment due to limited availability and long appointment windows. Seems like they are a little overwhelmed with business on this side. Workers that come up are very nice and child friendly. Am really satisfied but also really bummed about the sprinkler scheduling issues.

Rocky and his team provided excellent service. We saw three landscapers for this project to get estimates and R&S really understood what we wanted to accomplish and provided very prompt, professional service. I really have no complaints and they did a great job.

John was punctual, very professional and listened to what we wanted in our design. Email and phone follow up has been prompt and courteous each time we've contact him and the office.

The whole deal went smooth, since I had not breaks or leaks, R&S did not have to do any repairs.

I called them for the service, but they never responded. They never followed up at all.

We've wanted to refresh our landscaping ever since we moved into the house, about a year ago. Upon finding a $99 special from R&S for full-scale landscaping plans, it made complete sense to reach out to them for the opportunity. Within a week, John, a landscape sales associate, came to our property and literally walked every square foot of the yard, all while making suggestions as to what changes to make. In addition, he was very keen to listed to what our ideas/likes were. About 4 weeks later, a full set of landscaping plans, detailed estimates and plant fact-sheets were hand-delivered by John. He took us through every last detail, and was very positive and realistic about the potential work ahead. Throughout the entire process, everyone at R&S, especially John, was prompt, professional and cordial. It was an absolute pleasure working with them as a client, and look forward to continuing our relationship in the near future!

We had to reschedule the service twice due to the weather. R&S was excellent with communication and contacted me 24 hours prior to service to confirm. The technician was supposed to contact me 30 minutes before arriving at my home so that I could leave work to meet him but didn't do so. He called once he was at my home. Fortunately he waited for me to arrive. My sprinkler system needs additional repairs that were not covered in the start up deal so will have to see how their prices are.

We had some issues in scheduling. When they reached to me I didn't have an answering machine for them to leave a message and when I called them they said they would call back and it would take them several days to do so. They ended up not having an opening until June, which didn't fit my schedule restrictions. I have reached out to Angie's List in order to get a refund.

They're a perfect company so far! Their prices are really good and they're very punctual. They come when they say they'll come and I've continued working with them.

It turned out okay. It was pretty much what I expected. They were helpful and they had good suggestions.

Service provider contacted me that day, and was told that they were very busy with all the deals and could not come for 3 to 4 weeks, which was not listed on advertisement. A complete waste of my time, waiting on a full refund.

He came and didn't really give me a plan that I asked for. It was a plan that was consumed 75% of labor. It didn’t meet my expectations. The owner called a couple of months later and I told him what happened. He said the original guy doesn't work there anymore and the owner would come out to do another assessment. We have’t decided if we wanted. It was kind of like a switch and bait. I got what he thought he could sell me. It could have been for free. He asked about my budget. I wanted a multi-phase plan.

I put off our appointment and finally they came out and gave us a proposal. We have an older home and the beds had been overgrown. We were looking for renovation of those beds and some options on new plants. They came on time and were very responsive.

This company was very reliable, punctual

I paid for a proposal for landscape design services, met with the owner at my property and provided a strict budget of $5,000. I received a proposal for $12,000 shockingly with more work than we had spoken about. And when I communicated that I was surprised after I received a proposal that was way out of my budget as we both discussed- I was told that I had to spend at least $10,000 to make it look like "something happened" in my backyard. As a result, I will be using someone else for my project. I then asked for the drawings that I paid for and I was told they would not provide them to me. Waste of $99.

The first thing is they were very, very expensive. Secondly, I have decided to postpone it to spring time. At this moment I am not going to use them at all. I didn’t do any deposit with them. I got the proposal. Last year they presented it and I was ready to go with them. All of a sudden they told they couldn’t do it because I didn’t have a permit for it. They came here 2 or 3 times to do the measurement and to look at the property. They are a local company and they should know everything that is required for them to do the job. So they priced the job and I was ready to go with them. In the last minute they told me that they couldn’t do the job because I didn’t have the permit for it. Then I postpone it till spring time. At this moment I am not going to do anything with them because I have got some other proposals. I am just going to get the smaller job done. The other company is just arranging for the permit. They are just doing it very quickly. R&S Landscaping was very, very slow on everything. The first time I called he was immediately here the second day. He didn’t even return my survey map and the other document. I have been trying to reach out to them. I talked to the lady that picks up the phone so many times. That was promised to me to bring it back and leave it in my mailbox or send it back to me; whichever was more convenient. I have not got the document back. There is so much that went between them and me. I am so completely unsatisfied with everything. I am not going to be using them. I am still waiting for the documents and the survey map. It was a very important survey map which he was supposed to be doing it. John is the representative I dealt with. He promised to bring it back. He told he was going to take it to the office and make a copy of it there with a special copy machine. They took the 2 documents about 6 months ago and they never returned back to me. Now that I compared the pricing with other companies, it was really high. I had a lot of stones on the property. Some people do not have the specific machinery to move the stones. I have a stream on the side of the property. When I talked to them they were saying that they needed to bring particular machinery into my property. I halted the landscaping on that part so they could just do the driving back and forth and doing it for me. I am 110 percent not satisfied with whatever the process went with them; with the timing, with the luck of the information and with holding my documents. They probably do that because they think I am going to go with them. This is the only link that is holding them to me. It was a big deal purchase. Overall their pricing was high. I don’t even know how many times I called John to come and give me whatever was promised on the $99; the drawing and their proposal. That took forever and the timing was really bad. They finally got back to me and I got whatever was promised. When he finally made the appointment he was on time. I needed to call a few times to make that appointment. The guy knew what he was talking about. When he came in to do the measurements, he was pretty good at it. The proposal by itself was not bad.

John Z and his men were very professional. I made a few small changes and they immediately responded to those requests. All debris was taken from the property. I am now waiting to see how the plantings will come up this Spring.

R&S replied to my email within one day. I scheduled an estimate with John who arrived on time. He was very nice and informative. We discussed the challenges based on my older home's buried access to my water meter. This made the installation of the irrigation system more challenging and costly than expected. The price exceeded my budget so I will put this project on hold for now. I would call R&S again for other projects.
