+ -1 moreI had crickets in my basement for several years. I didn't really mind them but they were taking over. The company performed a thorough inspection and made recommendations, beyond just spraying. They discovered the source of the crickets and put a mesh barrier up where the crickets were entering the house. They insulated the window in my attic to avoid bees coming in. They were timely, professional, and the price was reasonable for the services rendered and the time spent. I would highly recommend this company. I have only seen 2 crickets since they sprayed. I'm very happy.

+ -1 moreI thought that a squireel had entered the attic. Horizon responded on the same day and determined that it was mice. They were able to determine a source of entry and corrected the problem. The price that I paid includes a service contract for one year. The people that arrived at my home were very professional.

+ 0 moreOverall, we were very satisfied with Horizon's performance. They were professional, polite, courteous and prompt. We really couldn't have asked for more.
Description of Work: We had a problem with mice in our basement and noise in our attic, from an unknown source. Horizon sent one of their best technicians to our house. It was his opinion that the noise in the attic was likely a combination of squirrels and mice. He set up traps in the basement, attic and outside to deal with the mice. They also installed a reverse trap to keep the squirrels out. We saw almost instantaneous results. The technician came back once to add more traps and we have been virtually "pest free" since Nov. Our contract allows visits on request and a automatic semi annual visits. We have been very satisfied with the service we received from Horizon Pest Control.

+ -1 moreThe person on the phone was helpful and sent someone out immediately when she heard I had a yellow jacket nest in the house. The rep came as promised (on time) and performed a full inspection. He was friendly, knowledgeable and did not do a "hard sell" as many other such companies have done in the past. He recommended only the services I needed and sent a serviceperson immediately. They performed follow-up services as promised and are always willing to reschedule to meet my schedule. They will even schedule a Saturday appointment at no extra charge. Overall, a very good experience. I haven't had any yellow jacket or mouse problems since.
Description of Work: I had a terrible problem with yellow jackets both inside and outside my house. I could not go out on my deck without being swarmed by the yellow jackets. They were in my family room and had built a nest that was hanging inside a bedroom window sill. I also had a mouse problem in my basement. They came as promised (on time) and performed a full inspection. They recommended only the services I needed and took care of the yellow jackets immediately. They have performed follow-up services as promised and are always willing to re-schedule to meet my schedule. They will even schedule Saturday appointments at no extra charge. All there service people have been friendly and professional. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of services they provide.

They sprayed thoroughly on two separate occasions, and gave me clear directions to follow. The bedbugs have been eliminated from my home entirely, and I would recommend Horizon to others.

+ -1 moreRepresentative stopped by on Thursday and we spoke about what was required. Representative was very knowledgeable and professional. Made several attempts to service me as soon as possible. I was serviced the next day. When services was provided traps were placed all over the home. Once again service was very professional. Although we caught a mouse using my own glue traps, I felt the money is well spent simply for the piece of mind.

Description of Work: First I received an estimate from Glenn on 7/27/2011 after he conducted a detailed inspection of my home for termites, ants/spiders/etc and rodents. He provided an estimate of recommended services based on insect/rodent infestation which he pointed out in detail to me. He was very professional in his approach and the price seemed in line so I accepted his contract without a comparitive estimate based on the customer inputs from Agie's List. The next day Ricky from Horizon performed the initial corrective action and explained the follow-up checks they would conduct. He also indicated if I had any questions or issues to call and they would follow-up quickly. Both gentlemen were business-like and professional in conducting their business. Based on their effort to date ,I would recommend their service highly.

Every quarter they would speak to us directly about what they were doing. If they were putting things in places where I wanted to do plantings they would oblige me, regroup and do things differently. They were pleasant to work with. They responded quickly and offered options.
Description of Work: We had termites suddenly appearing in our bedroom one afternoon. We called them. They came out as soon as they could, maybe three days later. We contracted with them for a year and we haven't had any termites that we have seen.

Initially follow up was spotty but after the manager became aware of how serious the problem was with their service and the poor results, I must say they were very professional and honored their commitment to please their customers - although they were not obligated they were very fair and refunded the balance of our annual plan expense. We parted ways but after that I would give them another chance in the future
