Description of Work: Hired Trim King for a weekly lawn cutting, edging and blowing off the walks and patio areas. My lot is very steep and half of the grass area must be cut with a 21 inch mower since the slopes preclude using larger mowers. The crew is punctual and leaves the lawn looking great. In addition, they have been blowing the leaves off the lawn area and into piles along the curb line.

+ -1 moreWe used Trim King for the 2013 and 2014 seasons and were very happy with their service. We contacted Trim King at the beginning of spring in 2013 and Ed came out and gave us a quote. We called up and scheduled them to mow the lawn at regular intervals. The guys showed up as scheduled and the lawn looked great. We were very pleased with the results and will be using them again for the 2015 season. We would definitely recommend them to anyone.

+ -1 moreBut they are very poor in responding back for additonal work. Last year I wanted to just do some spring cleaning and apply mulch, it took me 8-10 calls over a month and never heard back to schedule a session, most of bushes had overgrown as they took 2 months to even return my call and schedule the work. Same issue this year I had talked to Ed to schdule a trim and mulch more than a month back. Have not heard back when the task will be completed even after leaving multiple messages. I will not recommend them to anyone who wants things do in a timlely manner.

+ -1 moreNot happy with their work. In particular, the trimming. Their guys trim/weed-eat WAY too close to the ground. It looks ridiculous how much further to the ground they trim compared to the lawn mowing. It's killing the grass as the color is now off! VERY disappointed. So, I called and reported it to the owner, Ed Strom. He said he would inform his guys to not do it again. Well, they did it again the very next week!!! I also requested a quote on getting some trees propped back up after Superstorm Sandy and I have YET to get anything from him. It has now been a MONTH since I first requested it. I asked the guy who mows who said he put us on the schedule for it (when Ed never told us the price) and I called and asked Ed on the phone for the quote a 3rd time to which he just said he hadn't gotten around to getting over to my house. REALLY???

+ -1 moreI called Ed after using another landscaping vendor for a number of years and then hiring a local kid for a year. The first thing of note is that Ed came late in a season when I had to have him cover for a kid that had to go back to school. He gladly took the job and gave me a great price for a few weeks of work. I kept him on for all of last year and would only write a review after seeing his work over time. I have a big yard and a pool and some pretty big trees in the yard to navigate. Each week Ed's team shows up consistently and always does a great job. His prices are fair and he is usually the person you get when you call them on the phone if you need an extra service or need to change the date of your services. If you ever encounter any of the workers they are very nice and respectful of you and your property. I priced things around again this year and Trim King Lawn is very competitive.

+ -1 more4/4 I called to ask fro an estimate. Ed (owner) came by that same day to provide an estimate. 4/9 I called to ask them to do the work. 4/11 they called to schedule the work for 4/14. They came by on 4/14 and completed the job. I am very happy with their work.

+ 1 moreHe has been a prince among men especially with the latest onslaught of global warming in December and during this winter. My wife had to get out to work. He came at 7 o’clock in the morning with a bunch of guys and he did the work in about 15 minutes. He did a very effective job. He even cleared the snow off the cars, the driveway and also the steps leading up to the house. He did all that and there was quite a bit of snow and that was around $100. He is punctual and reliable. He has the ability to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Whatever he does is cost effective. The only issue I had with him is when there was a 40 inch snow storm. It was so bad that it was the day after Christmas. He wasn’t able to make it for two days because his workers couldn’t get in and his equipment was all buried. He was really bound himself. The train stopped running and his people couldn’t come into work and they couldn’t drive because there was apocalyptic snow storm. So, he came out about two days later and cleaned out the whole place. We had one of the few driveways and steps in the whole neighborhood that were actually cleaned out. In fact, he even came to plow the roads for the township. So, he is a very efficient guy in terms of getting things done. That is the only problem we ever had with him. However, he did a bang up job when he did show up. We have him on standby. We eliminated all the grass, but we have rocks, stones and plants. So, we are going to have him come out twice a year to spray for weeds. Time King continues to amaze and please us. They're loyal, reliable and cost effective. In an emergency, they are there and we'll be using them for many years to come!
Description of Work: We use the services of Trim King Lawn & Landscaping for lawn work, snow removal and also tree removal. Ed Strom is the guy we deal with. His last visit was during the last snow storm here where there was a significant pile up, which was in early February. Like all the yards & driveways in NJ, ours was trashed by Hurricane Irene, with tree limbs, branches, leaves, etc. When the storm stopped on 8/28, we left a message on his answering machine requesting that he clean up our yard. We expected to wait several days, but as a long time customer, he really surprised us. He came with his crew on the Morning of 8/29/11 and had the entire mess gone in about 2 hours! Our entire yard now looks pristine...it looks like nothing ever happened. We have the neatest lawn & driveway in Middletown, thanks to Ed! For years, we've had 2 very tall, essentially dead, trees in our backyard that have overhung on neighbor's shed & backyard. They were badly damaged by Hurricane Irene in 2011 and by early this year it was obvious that they would have to be taken out. We contacted Ed Strom & he came out to see what he could do. We knew that removing them would be an expensive horror story, since he would have to drop them in sections to avoid crushing the neighbor's shed. He gave us an attractive price that included removing the 2 offending trees as well as a lot of miscellaneous stumps, dead bushes & fallen small trees that cluttered up our back & side yards plus a general yard clean up. His crew arrived on time, worked very carefully for most of the day, avoided any damage to the neighbor's property or ours & neatly hauled out the offending debris. Our yard was both safe & pristine when they finished the job!

+ -1 moreIn spite of excessive hot weather, Ed and his workers did a great job. I appreciated that they cleaned up so well after all that work and the place looks so much better. I certainly would use this company again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Services performed : Cut down and removed (dwarf) cherry tree and three evergreens from yard which included removal of all root debris. Trimmimg of other evergreens in yard. Filled in with top soil a fairly large area where above-ground pool had been. Also complete removal off over 30 feet of old privet hedges. After root debris was removed fresh dirt was brought in to fill in all areas. Extra bonus and a surprise to home owner, Ed returned in a few days to distribute grass seed in all new dirt areas. Nice touch!
